Ugh, this movie. I feel a bit sick, it just strikes so close. Although in the plot no-one has been born in 18 years -- as if such a crisis is needed, in my current state of mind I cant imagine this stuff 10 years into the future with just a progression what's going on. I was already feeling dark this morning ("I should get my story straight for when in 40 years kids will be asking me what the fuck we were thinking"), this was probably not the right choice.

God, the beginning of Children of Men is a massive gut punch these days. I never thought the film was special, but I'm a third through my second viewing and I'm changing my mind. I also appreciate Clive Owen's acting more, which is strange.

This book's Finnish translation has a completely different title ("Satan arrives in Moscow") which always captivated me along with the stark grey cover with a large cat holding a revolver. I liked it a lot when I read it. I should read it again.

I guess I have the challenge and one other puzzle left. Seems pretty tough, though. I was really surprised by how many different places I hadn't seen yet.

I just saw Spectre and thought it was truly bad. Way too long, asked me to are about characters from previous movies I couldn't even remember, chock full of exposition, took itself way too seriously. I can't really think of any way it was good; it certainly wasn't entertaining. I still like Craig, but the only good Craig Bond is still Casino Royale.

We've seen half of Love so far and like it a lot. I do find Gus annoying, but in a human way.

Man. I solved everything I could find and reached the endgame. But I'm only at 438 and I have a bunch of questions left. I don't know how much energy I have left, but I still feel like I wouldn't want the game spoiled. Such a rare feeling. I still haven't even seen the credits. EDIT: Okay, I've seen the credits. That was sweet. Also a bit dumb towards the end. I also found more game, so I'm not done yet. These were the first hints I looked up. This is my game of the decade.

I don't know, I feel like the plot is a commentary on playing video games so making a movie out of it doesn't scan for me at all. The game taped all those notes I collected on the window, making something I've done a million times look crazy. It's not all about video games, but being a game is tied to what Firewatch is a million different ways. You couldn't have this thing, but a movie instead of a game. You're right that I'm not engaging with your explanation, osmosich. It's because I don't get it. I don't have a feel for what the problem is.

None of the experience of playing this would translate to a movie. I think that's just bonkers. It's like a critique based on a description of the game instead of the actual thing. I don't understand it at all.
