  1. Dad 'n Me

how did you get 32 hits? Anyhow, I love the art of the game and definitely, the non-pc flavor of it all. Aww, dad and me.
  2. The ultimate thumb!

Is there a way to get a ladies' t-shirt with a thumbs up?
  3. Holy Crap!!!

    I'm in.
  4. 2HB for Sale

That is a bit pricey. I bet you can always knit one (I had a knitting/crocheting hobby for a bit) It's a two color system where you need to alternate the purl and knit stitches. And you can increase and the decrease the rows as necessary. I'm guessing at 4 different places - damn I wish I could read stitches better so I could tell you how much they increase by) If only they would put the pattern online so you can make one yourself. And you could probably get the body stuffiing by stuffing socks, sewing them tight, and inserting it into the body. (I'm guessing the body is soft - as opposed to using a foam insert) Anyhow, that would be my way of getting around having to pay the hefty $150.00 for it. And I bet if you put the picture on some knitter forum, the people there would be able to figure out the pattern.
  5. Woot woot! I got free passes to watch a screening of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride! If you are in the Los Angeles Area and contact me really quickly, I can give you the info on how to get the free passes. The trailer looked awesome at Comicon. I can't wait!
  6. Tim Burton's corpse Bride

That reminds me. On my survey, I wrote "You should make this movie more like Grim Fandango's vision of the underworld. " Hmm, Grim Fandango: the Movie - that has a nice ring to it.
  7. Tim Burton's corpse Bride

I just came back from watching "Corpse Bride" and unfortunately, it was not up to par to past Tim Burton's films. Although technically fantastic, the plot was simple and the movie lacked the normal quirky dark Burton charm. I needed more psychological depth, insight or anything but instead got a superficial and warm film. It's a good movie, but not a great one. Hopefully tomorrow's trip to watch Willy Wonka will help me recapture my faith in Burton's works.
  8. Congrats to Chris!

    Congratulations!
  9. Tim Burton's corpse Bride

However, I did miss out on the Serenity screening (sometime in May) and the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy screening. The biggest obstacle to movie screenings in LA is traffic. A simple 10 mile drive can end up being 1 hr in heavy traffic. grrr. I have yet to see the Douglas Adam's flick.
  10. Royal Rainbow!

I had a friend who bought a PS2 just for that reason - to play Katamari Damacy.
  11. Royal Rainbow!

My brain hurts just trying to follow the plot or what the hell is going on with the game? Owwww.. The Japanese have struck again... owwwww
  12. Tim Burton's corpse Bride

Monday at 8pm in Sherman Oaks Galleria. I'm serious - I can still get people tickets in the Los Angeles Area for the screening.
  13. San Andreas (PC)

I agree. The fuzzy puppies are awesome - however I end up being blinded by their cuteness and then I forget what I'm reading sometimes. (Edit : most of the time.. hehehe.. awww puppies!)
  14. San Andreas (PC)

This is Rockstar's answer to it all, according to Penny Arcade. http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php?date=2005-07-20
  15. Serenity/Firefly

Oh yeah. You should check out the forum topic "Show us your Ugly Mug" I think i've successfully managed to turn it into a Firefly thread. Not to mention that Nathan guy is sooo playful and sooo cute! (I'm a girl)
  16. Rest In Peace Scotty

    That is truly sad. =(
  17. Tell Us About Yourself

I stand corrected. The yellow thing is now officially known as an Alien Hominid. However, I still reserve the right to call it a "Yellow thingie". And thank you for the welcome!
  18. Tell Us About Yourself

Hello Hello. I've been on this forum for a while but I've never made a formal introduction as to who I am. My name is Priscilla, and I'm one of your American counterparts on this forum. Another problem I have is taking Male names because of problems I've had in the past during MUDs. Anyhow, a friend pointed me to Idlethumbs after telling me the reviews would be far more interesting, entertaining and less quantitative than say Gamepro. They are, I have to say. And to know you guys have not been bribed by the publishers to say good things, yet. About me. I'm a geek girl who enjoys video games, obscure board games and sci-fi/fantasy. I posted my picture on the "show yer ugly mug", but now the thread has been overtaken by Firefly. (woot!) Anyhow, I'm fan of the older games, like SNES, NES. I like RPGS and puzzle games, but I don't own any consoles, just my computer. Oh wait, Mafia was awesome. That's a pic of me and some yellow thing. I thought it was cute. I love tennis, rock climbing and archery, though I'm a beginner. I have a BS in Computer Science from UCLA. I guess that's my technical background.
  19. Comicon - Coolest costume

I went to Comicon on Saturday and this had to be the best costume ever... The moment he walked out with that costume, I got this eerie feeling and a need to pick up a shotgun.. Enjoy!
  20. Comicon - Coolest costume

The coolest part is that when he makes that pose, THE MOUTH OPENS. My jaw dropped when I saw that.
  21. Happy Birthday Alex!!!!

    Happy Birthday!
  22. Wow, I never knew that Online game accounts would be such a point of contention in a divorce. However, we are starting to live in a more of a virtual world and I guess we'll see more articles like these in the future.
  23. Oh no...

My friend has seen the movie - he said it isn't that good. (I'm from LA, we get lots of free movie screenings) Some scenes were over the top and built for crass humor, but it at times, they take it way too far, playing in the realm of tastelessness. Anyhow, I trust his judgement.
  24. London

I'm really glad that no one from the thumbs are hurt. My condolences to London.
  25. Bush fourth article

Damn Bush! I live in the wrong state to make my vote count. Damn you California and your ability to absorb Democratic votes!!!!!!
