You seem to be confusing region protection with television standards. That euro games are in PAL is not the reason you would need to mod your console to play them in North America, you just need to have a TV that can support both modes. You need a mod to play Euro games because they are region locked, and the same is true of Japanese games. As for whether Vib Ribbon ever came out in North America, you are correct, it did not. One of those weird occurrences when Europe got something America didn't..... god knows why.

Fear not Kingzjester you don't need to qualify your statement, I own and have played through all of the zelda games and yes, LttP is the best. Most definitely.

The first time I recall it happening was with Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast, I believe it has happened another time since but the game name escapes me. It's probably a once in every generation thing.

I would have agreed with you about FMA Rodi, if it weren't for the fact that their encounters in the first quarter of the series were ALL relevant to the major plot arcs later in the series. As far as I'm concerned it's one of the few action based series whose episodes form a cohesive whole. The change in tone is reflective of the change in the characters....

I'd suggest you give Trigun another go as the first 3 episodes aren't really representative of the series, the silliness gets toned down quite a bit and it gets pretty dark later on. Full Metal Alchemist is utterly superb, there are perhaps 2 episodes in the whole 52 episode run that don't tie back in to the main plot, and it is very emotional at times. I have heard great things about Last Exile, I even own it, but haven't yet seen it myself. Hellsing is quite fun if you like vampires Fruits Basket is a sweet little series, although quite bizarre. Lastly I recommend the Read or Die OVA, very inventive and fun. The TV Series is good as well, but drags on in places.

Any game in which you have to use both analogue sticks is better served by either the Xbox or GC controllers, the Dual Shock's stick placement is just not ergonomic......

Actually the press release suggested there is a further 1 year jump, as it says the events take place during the time between seasons 3 and 4. Plus it's called the Resistance, suggesting fighting against the cylons (could be resistance to Baltar's regime, but evidence in what we saw at the end of the season implies this has only really just begun)

If you look back through the history of the industry you will at EVERY point be able to see a few gems that stand out and a whole lotta crap... it's just the way it is, it's not new, it's not even proportionately getting worse really. In years to come some people will look back and say "where is the innovation the likes of Katamari and Shadow of the Colossus" while fully ignoring the brilliance that exists around them....

I need to play it through again with commentary, that'll happen some time this week. I didn't know that Alyx did the first thing, but she did the second thing with me. It's abundantly clear why they chose to focus on Alyx in their promotional material, she is just brilliant in the game. A really nicely done companion that totally changes the feel of the game.

Yes and that bit them in the ass, Babylon 5 was cancelled in the 4th season so had to be written to end there. Then it was picked up again for a final 5th season which totally floundered because it had been finished already!

I find myself wondering if Zero Suit Samus will be an alternate move set for regular Samus (like the Zelda / Sheik character in Melee). I hope that is the case, mainly so that it allows for more space for other characters (also I really liked the character switching thing for Zelda). If Wario is in there it would just be rude to not include Waluigi. Also Nintendo have been putting ROB the robot into mario kart recently, maybe he'll make an appearance? If Megaman were to be included he would seem to me to be a Samus variant character. I like Samus and Megaman, I want him in there!
