How exactly did they change their fate (i.e. prevent Terminators being built) in Terminator 1? they didn't, they only brought the schedule forward with the arm. T1 has the warning that something is coming, in T2 they clear up the mess they caused in T1 and in T3 things get back on track and John Connor fucks everything up by not listening to his mum's advice...

The difference is, these days he is talking about things that actually exist while demoing them, back when he spoke about fable 1 he never had anything to show and was just spouting fantasies. Frankly I think a lot of people are judging his current actions based on his past actions, which is foolish. When I saw him demo the dog at GDC I was impressed, it is a well realised dog and it did elicit the emotional responses from the audience that he hoped it would. Fable 2 does look very promising and Peter is being careful to avoid talking about hypothetical inclusions.

Well the aiming mechanic and the fishing mechanic are both fundamentally different. The swordplay I feel very ambivalent about. On the one hand when I went to play Wind Waker afterwards I found myself wanting to swing the GC controller around On the other hand I dislike the slight delay and uncertainty inherent in the motion based controls, it's not as guaranteed as a button press and additional gestures (for stabbing and thrusting or whatever) would only have made this worse....

I am also a Donatello fan, I didn't realise he had such a following! I always tend to like the science guy though.... (Leonardo is too preachy, Raphael too tough guy and Michaelangelo is too "cool")

Oh it's most certainly out here. Went to see a screening last saturday (10th) followed by a Q&A with Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost.... awesome! The film is the best thing they've done, simply superb, was smiling constantly and laughing most of the time. Go see it!

Personally I think the fighting is well done, it's one of those systems where you get out what you put in. So that everyone could progress, they didn't make it mandatory to use all the tricks to defeat your enemies (except if you try to get all the stray beads), but the combat is way more fun (and much quicker) if you use everything you can and go for floral finishers for all the enemies. I never really payed any attention to Issun much throughout the game, but I can see him being annoying. (I also ignored navi in zelda, heh) Aussie Ben, I agree 100% about the intro, the mumbling speech throughout the game is irritating also, I don't know why anyone ever thinks that's a good idea. P.S. I can't help but read this thread title in a zombie voice, as though one is compelled to play PS2 games.

Well the entire world is quite different, but the two games have similarities and references to each other, also they tie together as one overall story. I can happily recommend playing through both games, capcom did a fine job with the franchise! (shame they couldn't pull off the three way connection thing)
