  1. Dig up your shit!

Am I the only one here that knows exactly were the his belongings are? Clean and organize your rooms, people! Also: I can't find my Game Gear and many of my Mega Drive games (but they're my brother's, so oh well).
  2. Why isn't Psychonauts selling well?

These type of things are the unexplained. Every industry has gems that didn't sell and people never even heard of. The music industry has too many to mention, The Velvet Underground & Nico sold about seven copies when released, Nick Drake's albums are no different, but eventually they gained popularity. Maybe someday Psychonauts well sell as wanted, though the music industry is incredibly different. Where I live about three people know what Rushmore or Bottle Rocket is, but Wes Anderson's other movies are somewhat well known which is very odd. And we all know about Grim Fandango (I rant about it all the time) and many other great games that didn't get what they deserve. The majority of people just don't like original things from obscured companies or people it seems unless they are extremely hyped. No one can explain it, we can all assume that it's a matter of taste, and if so, people are nitwits (for my taste, of course). In other news; I just got my signed PS2 copy of Psychonauts. It says: I have been inside your head, (my real name, that I won't mention 'cause I'm paranoid). You sicken me! Get help! Love, Tim Schafer and the Double Fine staff.
  3. We're failures as gamers

When ever a GameCube gets played, an angel gets its wings. So what was the problem exactly? It wouldn't turn on? GBA connection issues? Disk read errors? Bad disks? Did you by any chance forgot to plug it to the TV?
  4. College Part 2

I just don't use spoiler tags enough. Imagine a door, an odd door, you've never seen it before. What's inside? Maybe it's a... Or maybe... You won't know until you open the door... that very odd door... you take a right, you take a left... It's all about the mystery...
  5. So many falling blocks...

It's a nice review, miffy. But I'm biased since I automatically like you because you seem nice and are a Nintendo fan. Though I doubt that I'l ever buy Meteos (budget issues and such) I do like your review.
  6. College Part 2

All I can do is wish you the best in college, Duncan.
  7. Gah!

Live 8 (for my taste in music) only started being good when The Who went on stage, their performance was terrific, especially Who Are You which isn't one of my favorites from them but it sounded great. Pink Floyd were great, I'm ambivalent towards the post-Syd Barrett Pink Floyd, but they were great, almost near perfect. Paul McCartney was wonderful as always, Helter Skelter was especially good. My only complaint is how he ended it, he should have ended with Sgt. Pepper Resprise because the show started with Sgt. Pepper, it's plain logic. I wanted to see Roxy Music's performance, but the channel that aired the show only came in when they ended their set. Coldplay were alright. It really wasn't the biggest event in history as they claimed, but it was free! (Where was Lou Reed? Why wasn't Dylan there? And what about John Cale? Or Van Morrison? I want answers.) I doubt that Live 8 will really influence G8's decision regarding Africa, though it should, even without Live 8 they should finally do something. I'm not dutch, but TV's terrible regardless these days. (Yet I watch at least four hours of it a day, so what!?) Yeah people, start crazy threads so we can make our one liners, DAMNIT! Kirby is kick-ass to the motherfucking Xtreme, DS rules, rest suxors. TO THE MAX! So yeah, Kirby's cool. There, I discussed the topics. You happy now? Are you? Are You?
  8. Bush fourth article

    He's dreamy...
  9. Games of your dreams

A few years ago back in the advent of Mario Sunshine, I dreamt that I was cleaning the streets, purifying them of the scum that dwell, and made everything nice and shiny. Oh what a spledid dream it was (I'm kinda of a neat freak). The last game related dream I had was a few months ago. I was hired by Double Fine and Tim Schafer was showing me around. It was like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory all happy and bizzare, and I got a free soda! Can't beat that.
  10. Topgun on the DS o.O

It would be cool to hear some of the dialogue being remade: "This gives me a hard-on." "Don't tease me." Jester: "Show me what you got, kid." Goose: "I got 'em, he's on our tail, come HARD." Maverick: "He's goin' vertical. So am I." Well, if you think disturbing is cool, then it would be kick-ass X-treme hard to the max! They can also get Tom Cruise to do the voice for only 20 million dollars and some royalties. That's a bargain.
  11. Sony going to lose $100 on each PS3 sold?

I knew all that vodoo I casted would finally pay off, awesome! Marek, that picture made me laugh quite hard (I also saved it). It's all about the timing.
  12. The Most Extraordinary Space Investigations

For some reason I really like the intro music. The rest... I dunno... On a related Channel101 note regarding House of Cosby's: NOOOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOO! I once respected your amusing Theo jokes about the "moneys" and the "ladies" and the "jello", Mr. Cosby, but no more. You just made yourself an apathetic ex-somewhat-fan, Mr. Cosby, and you will feel my deity strength on your aged hip. You will pay! (I am not reprehensible for him paying or not paying. If he will pay then fine. If not, what can you do? Either way, it's not me. I just make threats and never follow through them... it's a hobby... I guess.)
  13. Michael Forever

But... but Mario and Bowser killed him... they... they killed him...
  14. Saddam Hussein...

Sounds like my uncle (minus the Iraq part).
  15. Make your own game

I am like totally creative. I made exactly what Nick made (but with a "fantasy" setting). So many options.
  16. Steven Colbert leaving the Daily Show?

Colbert is one funniest people on television, he's as essential to the show as Jon Stewart (I think so). I'll hate to see his role diminish, he's just too damn good. Stay regulary, Stephen. Ed Helms will be good... I promise, please stay. He does read the Idle Forum, right?
  17. Damacy Cosplay

The place in the second picture is by far the greatest hotel lobby that I've ever seen. Extremely hardcore... also sexy.
  18. Chibi Robo: game we missed at E3

I nearly started a thread about it at E3, and I was also (disappointedly) surprised that none of you covered it. But oh well. I had my eye on this charming game for a couple of years now, it's finally finished and it received some great reviews. (YAY!) So with some luck it'll get released outside japan. Here's the E3 trailer: http://www.nintendo.com/gameminiav?gameid=dc322774-057e-4fbe-aba6-8d7ae51d72ce A game I want even more is Skip's first GameCube title Giftpia. For years now I've been waiting for it to get localized, and I'm still waiting for Nintendo to do it. LOCALIZE GIFTPIA, DAMNIT!
  19. Damacy Cosplay

The place in the second picture is by far the greatest bachelor pad that I've ever seen. Extremely hardcore... also sexy.
  20. Psychonauts Nominated for Crappy Award Show

Schafer requested in Action News for people to vote, so I voted... I felt dirty after. Since we're discussing voice acting, did anyone see the vote in Gamespot? Apparently over fifty percent of its audience think that celebrity voice actors deserve more money than the developers. Oh what a world we live in. When are people finally going to understand that big names don't make the acting better? If the actor doesn't have proper writing and direction he or she will give a shit performance. If any of them would ever hear a name of outstanding voice actors like Richard Doyle, Tony Jay, Billy West, or Richard Steven Horvitz they won't even care that the acting is going to be far better than most performances by Hollywood actors (especially the new MTV ones these days). A couple of weeks ago I read an interview with Billy West. He mentioned that Cameron Diaz gets 20 million dollars for Shrek 3 while an actress that can give the same quality or even better gets a miniscule salary just because she's not Cameron Diaz. Now video games are doing the same, they might actually give royalties to big names just because publishers want it for advertising while developers are over worked and under payed. Just how dumb is this industry? Instead of trying to be itself its trying to be Hollywood. Now Nintendo gets chastised by fans and the press because the new Zelda doesn't have voice acting. The poor people are going to have to read, and we all know that reading is teh kiddy. My conclusion: publishers are nearly as dumb as the majority of gamers (not a new conclusion, mind you).
  21. You want to buy a gaming site?

$850 million, eh? What can I get for pre-chewed gum and a pre-owned Z.Z. Top record? If it's anything less than an IGN shirt signed by Matt Casamassina and that bald guy that's occasionally in a kangaroo suit, no dice.
  22. Stupid people and their stupid little walk

http://www.univie.ac.at/cga/art/tv.html I think Palin's walk is better though. I'm crazy like that.
  23. Stupid people and their stupid little walk

Curses! That's exactly what I wanted to post. I love the way those speed walkers walk, it's like a chicken that got decapitated. I think it's funny (the people not the chickens, poor chickens. Well, I'm off to eat some chicken breasts. For shame, but it's delicious fried with bread crums. Poor chickens, for shame for being so delicious).
  24. So much wasted time

    Puppies, YAY!
  25. More videogame movie news! Buffy is Alice!

I've never seen Disney's Alice in Wonderland, and it was made at around 1940's, so I'd waste a rant if I'll talk about something that was made nearly 50 years before I was born. But yeah, fight the power! which ever it may be in the circumstance.
