  1. Warren Spector Rants!

Ah yeah, under the COMMENTS button. Delete this thread if for no other reason than to hide my ignorance for me.
  2. Warren Spector Rants!

Oh shit, this site has a main page? I should start reading that. Go ahead and delete it if you want, although I would like to see some discussion on it.
  3. Warren Spector Rants!

There's far more great ranting than just Warren's. It just so happens that I had only finished his at the time of posting. Also I am a big fan of several of his games.

i think this is one of the only games on the horizon that actually has me excited.
  6. Idle Thumbs and the CONs - A modest proposal.

I'm not sure that there's any point in doing what you suggest. Like you said, the blame really belongs with those controlling the cash flow. Any game developer who is making shitty games by choice and not because of forces outside their control isn't really worth acknowledging. Like it or not, games are going Hollywood. Even if you think they're already there, it's only going to get worse. Bad games aren't going away. It's time to get used to them because there's going to be a lot more of them. However, just like Hollywood movies, SOME big budget titles will still be of high quality. The thing that the movie industry has filling the gaps that the gaming industry doesnt have much of yet is an indie scene. The indie scene definately exists but it has big shoes to fill and a long way to go to fill them. So while at these cons, rather than find the people who are churning out shit so you can yell at them for it, your time would probably be better spent hunting down the developers whom you respect and shaking their hands so that they know they're appreciated. Besides, it'd probably be more fun to talk games with people who are thinking beyond the current most marketable trend anyway.
  7. Games that never were...

I'm seriously starting to doubt that this game will ever see the light of day.
  8. Games that never were...

Yes, but it's being made by Bethesda. I'll expect another "almost good" game from them.
