Just eat it and report back. Was it bread? EDIT: Starting a new page with telling someone to eat shit! A new personal best!

I think my favourite part of that is actually the footprints. Like, there was no hesitation there. "Fuck it, man. That bike's done."

Hey everybody, I think Tegan just fixed video games.

"IRS, can you talk to the Canada Revenue Agency? I've heard you're pretty reasonable, and they're just NOT listening to me..."

Today I finished writing the first ever year end report cards of my career. Holy shit that's a lot of work. Like, and extra 20 - 30 hours of work a week for two weeks on top of what teachers normally do (which is already minimum 10 hour days) to write those fuckers. But they're done. All the way done. Not looking back. That shit is over. I also had a job interview today for the fall, as the contract I'm on right now is up in two weeks and I'd like to have a new job at the start of the new school year. Substituting wouldn't be so bad, at least I'd just have a 7-8 hour day and then go home, but there's also way less pay and respect from kids. Also, one of the main reasons to teach is to actually get to know and work with kids, which is hard to do in the space of a day. Still, after how much trouble I've had with this class, the idea of not taking my work home with me for a few months is very appealing. The class I interviewed for today is grade 5-6 in the roughest neighbourhood in the city. If I thought this class was tough, this new one has actual gang fights breaking out in it (seriously, a friend who worked their about 5 years ago had to deal with that in her class)! Still, this is how teachers get their start. You get the tough schools until you have the seniority for the cushier jobs. I'm torn as to how much I want that gig, but if nothing else living through that will make me a better teacher. Blugh. This is not how tired I should be after a weekend. I still have to be on for another week and a half of classes yet. I need sleep real bad. Still, summer is almost here and things are actually getting accomplished, so I'm feeling pretty good. Whee! I survived my first year in an actual career!

SO MUCH BETTER. And for a cheap licensing fee you can import the whole RS1 tracklist (except for the tracks that feature Eric Clapton for some reason. He must not have re-upped his signature). I loved the first game so, so much (as should be obvious from this thread), but the sequel is such a crazy step up that I can't imagine ever going back.

The first one also requires that you play through Mario Bros (not SUPER Mario Bros. Mario Bros. The one with the enemies coming out of pipes on the sides that you have to flip over from beneath) and that game has some of the most frustratingly awful controls in the history of ever.

Huh. And Monday June 30th is the next time I'll have a free Monday. I guess we better make this one count.

The Legend of Zelda: Adventure of A Link's Awakening to the Mask of Time Past

Playable Tingle, pretty much any of the sages, Medli from WW, your weird uncle from LttP, etc etc. This could work. -
I've been playing NES Remix a bit. It's ok, but I'm pretty sure that it's overpriced for what it is. If you've got $10 to spend on eShop, buy Earthbound.

Dynasty WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArriors. Make it happen, Nintendo. -
I bought it on steam when it was like $15 on a sale, then when the second came out I already had the cable and just shelled out the $60 for it. I'd say that, with the summer sale apparently happening next week, you should see if it gets cheap enough there and grab the cable on its own. If it doesn't, then go for that amazon route you mentioned. Either way, get the fucker. It's so good.

So I figured I'd throw this out here. I had intended to not touch the ME3 multiplayer at all, but then a real-world friend who is totally into it roped me into a couple of games with him. It's actually pretty fun and I just sank another hour into quick play matches this evening. I'm on the PC, Origin username is the same as my name here. Anyone interested in a match or two? The fact that they only take 15 - 20 minutes is a big draw for me, as time is limited. Makes it really easy to hop into a game pretty guilt-free about the time I'm spending.

I have separate house-shoes for when it's cold. First thing I do when I get home is take off my shoes. I live in a poorly-heated basement apartment though, so in the winter it can be like 10 degrees Celsius in my bedroom. Space heater and shoes next to the bed when waking up are necessary, I just keep them separate from any shoes that I may ever wear outside. Peeing in the shower. Nope. Never. Gross.

I'm still struggling to pass 3,000. I am bad at Threes.

I would join them. It's functionally pretty much the same game as City, but it toned down the stuff that skeezed me out about that game, so it was like playing City without all the cognitive dissonance. Good times.

I liked ACIII, and finished the DLC earlier this year. It's a pretty good game, I thought, just not up to the standards of the rest of the series. Being Canadian, and originally from the area where it takes place, the setting was great and seemed really evocative of the actual place. I got the same feeling that I had only previously had from the last chapter of Red Dead Redemption, where the character returns to the Northern Rockies (his home, and also my current one) and I had this connection with the setting that I don't normally get from a game. That feeling made the game for me. I did all the side stuff and got 100% as well, because I am a sick sick person. I don't recommend doing that. If you can make it through the (WAY TOO LONG) tutorial stuff, the game really does pick up as it goes and get a lot better, it just spends far too long spinning its wheels at the beginning and lost a lot of people because of it. As for the DLC, it's a dumb dream sequence, but lasted about 6 hours and each chapter gives you a new spirit animal power thing, which is a bit problematic but really fun to play, so I was conflicted. The powers do change the game and add some really cool traversal stuff though, and I found myself wishing I'd had them in the main game.

Sounds accurate. I'm pretty sure that the last time I did a big thing for a birthday was 21, and 25 was one of those "Oh man, I can't get away with as much bullshit anymore" days, but as soon as it passed it stopped mattering. Happy birthday, anyway!

This is my biggest worry, yes. I hope they've worked on the balance a bit.
-
Yeah, when I beat it I spent two days getting it to where you fight it and then a third actually fighting it. It wasn't so bad, just dumb.

I hated MKWii because of the 12 racers thing. Having 11 people throwing items at you at once instead of 7 threw the balance of skill to random way off for me. In the past, Mario Kart had always felt like it would throw some crazy shit at you to make it harder, but you could always overcome it with enough skill. 150cc Mirror Mode was always PERFECTLY balanced for me on all the previous entries. I felt like the added racers needed to have the items balanced way differently to keep that, and Nintendo fucked up that balance. I rarely felt like I earned either a win or a loss with my performance in MKWii, instead, I either was lucky or I wasn't. In every other entry in the series (MK7 included) I felt like they nailed the challenge. Can't speak to other people's problems with the game, and if my gripe doesn't really matter to you then I'm sure it was a fine game, but I gave up on MKWii very quickly after being incredibly pumped for it pre-release. ...and yeah. Double Dash is still the best game in the series. EDIT: BigJKO, may I request you put that in multiplayer networking too? I'd like to join, but my copy isn't here yet and I'm worried your post will be buried by the time I can sign on.

Calgary is in the middle of its second consecutive weekend without snow of the year! I celebrated by getting my bike out and getting lost for the morning/early afternoon following whims. I am tired, have a giant sweat butterfly on my back, and murdered myself going up the hill to the children's hospital (which is like, the other end of the city from where I live, so I have no idea how I ended up there), but I feel great!

Does Speedy know you took his name? EDIT: Added. Let's game some games!
