HALO!!! Goddamn, I usually love shooters, but the Halos are just so f*cking boring. Same hallway, random monster appearance, repeat. Ditto for Doom 3. I've tried a lot of RPGs, but can never get into them. It's not so much the gameplay as the setting. I love the KOTORs and Fallouts, but anytime an elf comes up to me and says "Welcome ye travelers to the precipice of mount seamus's wang" or whatever, I throw up a little bit in my mouth. I just don't like fantasy. (On that note, movies that were totally overrated IMHO = the LOTR series. Please don't kill me, fanboys) Other than that, I'm sorry, but I just found Deus Ex very cumbersome. I can appreciate the influence its had, and looked into the story later and quite enjoyed what I saw, but the interface and AI really got on my nerves. Oh! One more thing. I didn't like Prince of Persia either. Fun for about 3 minutes, then you've seen pretty much all the variety you're gonna get.

Well, I absolutely love the first game (my hardest part also came when I was shooting down Boothe, the stunts were pretty easy with the exeption of that one New York section with cabbie) but I still haven't tried High Road. The obstacle here is also that I'd have to buy an XBox, and that means giving money to microsoft, which I really don't want to do. If the XBox Next has backwards compatability, that'd be the way to go for me. Otherwise, I'll probably never get to play this game. Oh well, I gotta be shufflin' off now. -Miffy

Damn! Tony Jay was the voice of King Forge in Armed and Dangerous?!? I always thought that it was Earl Boen. I never bothered to read the credits after that game and just figured that he sounded so much like LeChuck that it had to be the same guy. Well. I guess you learn something new every day. That or you don't, and pretend that you do to make your Prof shut the hell up. Whatever. -Miffy

eep, apparently a lot happened while I was writing that last post. Hmm... yeah, that's pretty freakin' uncanny there. Kinda spooky. I'm not sure about those text boxes, but the blue tentacle thing was removed when they realized that while it was really cool to watch, it was impossible to fight back against when it came after you. It does not exist anywhere in the game. Kind of a pity. They could maybe have done something similar to that giant plant thing that you incinerated in the original HL. Oh well. On another note, it's kind of disquieting when you realize that even though you've been coming to this site since it came into existance, you still haven't created an account yet. Oh well, it's all better now. I feel like a more complete nerd than ever before. Ahhh.... -Miffy
