Yeah, but the thing with Metroid was that it was such a change from a genre that's really gone stale. I haven't really been able to enjoy a real FPS in a long time. HL2, FEAR, etc while all good games didn't really grab me like they were supposed to. I've gotten tired of normal FPSs, and Metroid served as some respite from that. If it's just a very solid FPS now, it'll probably fall victim to the same thing that kept me from really enjoying the other great FPSs of the last few years. That is why I have the problem with this change in Metroid gameplay. Hope that clarifies my statement.

Damn you n0wak! I though I was going to be the first one to mention The Newsroom. Ken Finkleman rocks, and as I live in the same city as her and get involved with independent film stuff from time to time, I've had the honour of meeting Karen Hines a few times. Wonderful woman, very very nice, and took my initial reaction of "HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP YOU'RE KAREN HINES!!!!" very well. Other shows I'm into: South Park Penn & Teller: Bullshit! Rescue Me (Yeah, Denis Leary can only play one character, but he plays him so damn well it doesn't matter ) Dead Like Me Curb Your Enthusiasm Futurama This is Wonderland Also, I follow the Daily show and Colbert Report religiously. But that just seems to be the norm around here, so it's not really worth mentioning, is it?

Yeah, part of the reason I enjoyed MP so much was that it was an FPS that wasn't. If it's now becom an FPS that IS, well, what's the point?

I just borrowed the box set from a friend, but still haven't had the free time to watch any of it. I wrote my last exam from the current rush today and have the weekend to myself, so that may end up being how I waste my time.

Ah, life is fun sometimes. After the problems I'd been having finally getting Phoenix Wright shipped to me, I though my shipping issues had been taken care of for a while. And hey, Amazon is usually pretty good about shipping the right item. Unfortunately, being in Canada and all, they stock french items where available. This means that when I ordered Trackmania Sunrise, I got the french version instead. Wheeeee! Luckily, I speak the language anyway, but not a whole lot of Western Canucks do so this could really piss a lot of people off. This has got me thinking about crap that has happened to other people. Thus, let's hear some stories!

Hear hear! I always feel out of place when people are talking about how boring the sailing was in WW. I liked it too, man. The music to accompany it was fantastic as well. Just enough to evoke the original theme, but still original.

Dude, I'm sorry, but March of The Penguins was horrible. Just some weepy french filmmaker imposing his own emotions on a bunch of birds. On the other hand, if you have the occasion to rent the DVD, do so and ignore the movie. The making of documentary is feature length and fantastic. Has all the major stuff from the movie, but this time it actually has the filmmakers as well, so the emotions are theirs and not just added in to get kids to like it. Reminded me of Cousteau. It's not a good sign when the featurettes on the DVD are far, FAR better than the movie.

I JUST SPENT $80(CAN) AND THREE GODDAMN MONTHS TRACKING THIS GAME DOWN AND NOW THEY'RE RESTOCKING IT?????? GRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! :frusty: Oh well. If I still consider it worth it after all that, everyone else should buy it now that you can get it for $35US. Great, great game, but this does piss me off.
