  1. Sonic Rivals Gameplay Trailer

Actually, I like the name Wii now. It's grown on me. Episode 1 though, makes absolutely no sense and has that whole "Star Wars" thing dragging it down.
  2. Half-life 2 - episode one

yeah, it's too bad you lose it...
  3. Half-life 2 - episode one

    ...until episode 2.
  4. First off, mine was done outside on her back porch. Second, that kid looks nothing like me. I am way more tan than that. [russian kid from Psychonauts accent] ...Also more hair. [/russian kid from Psychonauts accent]
  5. Half-life 2 - episode one

Yeah, that was a really damn nice touch. There was a brief moment of "What the fuck? Is that a human?" and then she starts laughing at you. Oh, and those damned black headcrabs still have the ability to scare the living shit out of me.

Also, Sonics legs don't turn into a circle-y blur anymore. Why the hell not?
  7. Far as I know, there were no cameras. Sorry to dissappoint.
  8. What DS games to buy

Yeah, I love seeing how Edgeworth reacts when you score a successful objection. It's like you drove a pick into his chest. I also need to second Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! as it's one of the few games that I never seem to get sick of. One last thing, no one else has mentioned Feel The Magic: XY/XX or The Rub Rabbits yet. Love both so much. FTM is a bit better in my mind, probably due to the fact that it came first and thus is more innovative, but both are downright crazy and a whole lot of fun.
  9. Sonic Rush

How much power do you have when you're going on the spinner? You need to empty about two bars worth into the spinner to get the portal. I didn't really find it that hard. Actually, I beat it in what was to me a dissappointingly short amount of time. Maybe it's just a learning curve thing and the fact that I'd played all the 2D Sonics beforehand made it a hell of a lot easier. I didn't run into any trouble until Act 6. Go fast, curl up when you can, and take the highest possible route. I don't know what else you can do to make Sonic easier. Maybe go back and play the earlier ones first? The Mega Collection is available on all three consoles, so give it a shot. That way, even if you don't end up liking Sonic you still have Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. (best variation of Puyo Pop ever!)
  10. Oh! I got a brand new one. Just happened a day or two ago. I've liked this girl for awhile and finally got her number. When I called her up, I went back into being the fat little shy kid that I was in ninth grade. Made kind of an ass of myself. If I can play it off as being adorably shy, this may not be as bad as it seems at the moment, but given the lameness of my end of that conversation, it rates up there anyway. ...I also did a striptease earlier tonight for my friend Michelle's 25th birthday, but I'm more proud of that than embarassed.
  11. Show Us Your Animation Skill0rz

    But charmingly so.
  12. Sonic Rivals Gameplay Trailer

Mmmm... Sonic Rush. So good. Play it, Erik. Best Sonic game in a long time. As for this game, it looks like the camera is substituting style for functionality, and will probably screw me up quite a few times if I try to play it. I actually have a backlog of games to play on the PSP (Megaman Powered Up and Metal Gear Ac!d 2) so this does not make my list.
  13. I wish he was my son

I want that kid to be my son and that guy who said he'd fight him to be my grandfather.
  14. Half-life 2 - episode one

Oh, I'm definitely taking my time and looking around. I particularly enjoyed watching Dr. Kleiner's speech after first emerging onto the streets. On that note: And a few puzzles are taking me a while to work through. I'm just not having all that much difficulty blazing through the game. On the other hand, I won't have much of a chance to pick up chapter 4 again until at least Sunday, so I won't be done TOO soon.
  15. ScummVM DS - Sam and max video

Yeah, but really wouldn't Trace Memory and Phoenix Wright have done that already? Plus, they're actually designed for the system so there aren't any config problems.
  16. Half-life 2 - episode one

God. Damn. Incredible. I couldn't restrain myself. I've had kind of a shit day so I decided that I should take a break and try out (What I'm still going to call) Aftermath. Holy fuck. First off, the entry to the citadel is incredible. I've played about 2 and a bit hours now and am just a little ways into Chapter 4 (of 5. Saddened by how quickly this will end...) Sin was fun and all, but this should have come out sooner. If you're going to be the first Episodic game, it may as well be the best one. Shorter than Sin, but a much MUCH richer experience. (Not that Sin was bad, it just wasn't HL2) My problems are twofold right now, and both technical. First off, this took way too long to get running. When I bought Sin it had already been released, so I just downloaded it and started playing. Took a while to download, but after that there was no delay. Aftermath, I preordered. And pre-loaded. The whole thing was sitting on my computer waiting to be played as soon as they unlocked it. Why unlocking took almost an hour, I have no idea. All the files were there, so what was the damn hold-up? The other problem is that every once in a while, despite running really well and at a crisp frame-rate the rest of the time, the game REALLY starts to chug. We're talking frozen image and stuttering sound for about 5 minutes. I press escape and trust that it'll register, then go get a drink or something. When I come back, I'll find it on the pause screen and it'll be running fine again. These stutters are seemingly at random. I'll be walking through a hallway with not an enemy in sight and suddenly she starts to go haywire on me. This, even when I can have hordes of enemies rushing at me on-screen with fires and water effects going full blast without a hiccough at other points in the game. Seems kinda dumb. On the plus side, these problems are few and far between. I think I've encountered about 3 in 2+ hours. 3 too many though. It does start to get frustrating. Erik, if you've seen the intro for HL2 and liked it, I believe that this one is better. Doesn't last as long or draw you in quite as much, but as it picks up the second that HL2 ends, you don't need to be drawn in again. You're already there. Exciting, kinda funny, and really quite beautiful in some parts. Anyway, get it. I've blabbed enough. EDIT (For LOPcagney):
  17. Gameboy games

I still don't get why you'd want to play a Scumm game on a DS. Great as the concept may be, and despite the fact that I've pretty much got the games memorized by now, I'd still like to be able to read the text. It just wasn't designed for a screen that small.
  18. Half-life 2 - episode one

Sweet! I have a test tomorrow, but after that HL2! Can't wait now.
  19. I really liked Nairuchi, and it only took a few tries for me to get through. For me, on insane, an easy song is any one that takes fewer than 6 tries. Shanghai Honey gave me a lot of trouble on Hard, but I think because I played it so much in that mode it made the Insane one easier.
  20. Ouendan was actually the first thing that I bought when I was approved for my first credit card. I've been playing it a hell of a lot ever since. I'm quite impressed that you've beaten Insane. I'm almost done it myself, but still have Salary Man and Ready Steady Go left to beat. Damn it gets hard quick in that mode. I think I had to play the first level about 7 times before I finally cleared it. I found the soundtrack online and have it as a playlist that I listen to from time to time. Not bad even when on it's own. Also, the level based around Over the Distance makes me happy every time...
  21. I seem to have lost the capacity for embarassment long ago. I do stupid shit regularly enough that it doesn't bother me any more.
  22. Thread Friendly...

Uhhh... wha? First off, welcome to the forums. Second, how can we verify this fact as this is your first post? Third, am I creating some kind of paradox by doing this? Now I have to go feel guilty about black holes sucking up the planet being my fault. Thanks...
  23. New Super Mario Bros.

Saving was instantly made better the second I beat Bowser. After that, welcome to save-anywhere town. It is a happy place, one where the children are free to play for however long they like, and just put it on hold when they need to, rather than when circumstances force them to.
  24. Double Fine kitten & game leak

You're damn right! ...For some reason I read elmuerte's suggestion as Bubba. I'm a fan of Mouschwitz, and would like to second that one.
