Well, the other four games in the series come out today, so they did come out later. Just not much later. Lemme know what you think man. I ordered Orbital alongside Rhythm Tengoku (there's another thread about this game somewhere around here...) so it won't ship until August when that comes out. I would like to hear what the other 5 are like though. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated, Wrestlevania.

Did they hit it for massive damage? EDIT: Hmmm... posted before I saw the picture. Go me.

Damn that's awesome. How do I go about modding a PS2 now? This may make it worth it.
-
Yeah. I've got three, and they each know when I'm addressing only them. Whether they care or not is a different matter, but only the cat that you call will look at you disdainfully when you call it. The other two will just stay asleep.

Bah, we all know that the Ukraine is simply a myth propagated by the liberal media.

I call my cat Spaz, despite his name being Thor. He earned the name Spaz by having diabetes which makes him twitch and flip out from time to time. This any better?

What do you think will happen in the middle east?

As one who has just returned from talking politics with friends while drunk, I must concur. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must hydrate before sleep to prevent hangover. -
True enough. Also, I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle if something DOES go wrong. Maybe there'll be a price drop this winter and all my worries will go away.

After browsing around I came across an article about getting a Japanese account on an American Xbox to play the chromehounds demo. What you're saying sounds like the same deal, so it's now quite likely that I'll grab a Japanese 360. The only thing really holding me back now is the ol' "red lights of death" thing that seems so common among players. Gamebrink says "Luckily Japan and Asia X360’s having been manufactured at a later date seem to be reliable and no reports of mass breakdown or red lights of death have been reported." but I don't know how much I want to stake a bunch of money on that claim.
-
OK, so now I'm seriously considering getting a 360, and as people here are spread across a bunch of regions, I thought I'd pose the question to you guys. After seeing this and this, I'm thinking about getting a Japanese 360. The power cables would be the same, and as long as I don't mind ordering online and waiting a week or so, every single game (with the exception of Amped 3) that was released somewhere in english is playable in english on the Japanese box. For about $20 cheaper. Also, the system itself is $150 cheaper. (premium, Canadian dollars) All great so far, yeah? Problem is, nowhere is there any mention of XBLA stuff. I don't want to miss out on things like Castle Crashers and Geometry Wars. Do they have restrictions such as "You Xbox must be from Country X to download this game?" Am I hosed for XBLA if I don't have an Xbox from my own region? Essentially, can those of you in Europe download North American games without hassle? Wow, that was kind of rambling. Sorry 'bout that.

The objection generator. Kinda fun for a minute or so, then the novelty wears out. Still, nothing wrong with a minute of fun. Plus you can take screenshots of objections and have useless pictures cluttering up your hard drive/the internet.

I thought that, aside from Dotstream, the most interesting one was Orbital. Looked like an addictive little zone-out game akin to Flow. I'll probably be giving it a try in the near future, especially if Liksang keeps the whole "free shipping on Bitgenerations games" thing going. Sound Voyager looked kinda neat too, but I couldn't quite get a feel for it based off of the trailer, so I'm waiting for impressions on that one. Go simplicity!
-
I ordered this a couple of days ago. Can't wait for the package to arrive. Once you've tried out some of the others, could you post/PM some impressions? I'm really interested in this series but Dotstream was the only one I was sure enough about to order right away.

So people will never get anywhere, then? Let's face it, dishonesty is not only an essential part of human life, it's also something of a survival mechanism. While I'd agree that it's overused, it's never been any different. Every country has conflicting interests, so hiding the fact that pursuing your goals may impede someone else is necessary. Honesty may be noble, but it's completely tactically unsound. The middle east has never been stable for more than a couple of years at a time, and I don't see why they should start now. The only difference is that the guns keep on getting bigger. Peace may be the only way we're going to survive with our current tech, but it doesn't stand a chance. War has simply got too much momentum. I can't see this finally being resolved in any way short of a total catastrophe that wipes out the region. For this incident in particular, we're probably going to see either a UN or coalition force head in, tell both sides to take a time out, and then bugger off again. The cycle begins anew. -
In TMNT one and three, he played Don. Strangely, not in two though... (If you check IMDB, it has him down as "Donatello (voice)" wheras the official listing for Donatello is Leif something. I assume this is the guy in the turtle suit.)
-
Seconded. The style and trip-out speeches made it well worth the time playing, despite the fact that the gameplay itself wasn't always that rewarding.
-
Yes, but will it have Corey Feldman as Donatello?
-
Could be worse. If we're lucky, they'll give us the option for Japanese with English subtitles. (a la Soul Calibur 2) I didn't think the acting in Killer 7 was that bad, so this surprises me. Maybe it's just that a lot of it was garbled by the ghost-talk thing.
-
Stylin'. That wouldn't be Travis as in "The dead guy who follows you around in Killer 7," now would it? Be kind of interesting if they linked the games up.
-
This may be what finally convinces me to get a 360. I've been considering it, and this pushes me over the edge. I just wish that they'd make it a bit more stable. The only reason I haven't got one yet is because I'm always hearing about the red lights of death. I was planning on waiting 'till the (hopefully better crafted) second or third production run. But now Castle Crashers. Time to start saving...

well, I meant interpersonal skills. The portals were mostly for irritating my friends. I haven't played anything not-mario-kart online in years.
-
Hey, c'mon now. I've gotten much better over the past 5 years.
-
Heh, I'd completely forgotten about the portal-shooting gun. I used to annoy the hell out of my friends with that thing in OpFor Deathmatch. "Gonna shoot me? Gonna shoot me? Guess what? Now you're gone." Good times. 13 years old and a pain in the ass to most others online, but fond memories nonetheless.

When does this "Rhythm Tengoku" game come out? I must import it. Import and love. EDIT: Hmmm... playasia says August 3. I may need to order that. Soon.

I haven't watched a new episode for years, honestly. I don't get how South Park manages to keep being funny into it's 10th year, but it's the only show I still watch religiously. Admittedly though, even they have started to slip recently. Still beats most stuff on TV, but they seem to peak every three years. (Season 3 = Brilliant. Season 6 = Brilliant. Season 9 = not brilliant, but better than 7, 8, and [so far] 10) Simpsons had a similar pattern for a while, but they haven't had a good, solid season for a long time now. Time to shoot ol' yeller-skinned-cartoon-characters.
