Slow, perhaps. I've never run into any puzzle that required overly-fast aiming though. The game has always allowed a decent amount of time to aim, making the slow aiming acceptable. It's nice that it could be done quicker on the Wii, but not something that needed to be done.

See my earlier point. Raph is a bit too psychotic for me to really feel comfortable having him as a kid's show hero. In the older comics, fine. But they were all badass there. Having the other three toned down to just having fun and fighting evil and Raph out there looking for a good "squish" makes him a tad frightening.

Perfect. Another convert. The older (drab) games are really worth a playthrough. Especially as you're now used to the "retardo-cam" and wouldn't be too put off by it. The setting may be less colourful, but the story and boss fights are there (though not *quite* up to 3's boss fight awesomeness) and very well done. Give 'em a shot sometime.

I'm with Erkki on this one. I've said earlier that the Zelda controls feel tacked on. I stand by this. The only thing that enhanced the experience was the aiming mechanic. Aiming was never a problem before though, so it wasn't a big deal. That's not to say I didn't love the game, or its controls. The fact that there was no learning curve for someone who's played all the previous Zeldas shows just how smooth the transition to the new method was. Still, there is a big difference between enjoyable and necessary, and in this regard the controls were, as we've been putting it, "tacked on." Again, love the game. Love the controls. Looking forward to more "traditional" (whatever the hell that means) games on the Wii. But "tacked on" seems to be a valid description to me nonetheless.

I'm a Donatello fan myself. Raph always scared me a bit. Maybe I'm thinking about it too much, but the fact that he uses close-range, bladed weapons coupled with the fact that he's the turtle with anger management issues just says to me that he loves goring things and letting innards gush over his forearms. Hell, when he lost one of his sai it was a huge plot point for the first movie. He's just too attached to the damn things. I find this obsession with his sai and propensity for goring a touch unsettling. As for the game, I'll be giving it a try in the near future. I haven't played a TMNT game since Turtles in Time, so if it's worth a run I'm interested.

Hmmm... I'll have to download this when I get home later. Didn't get into C&C (except for RA1) until they released the 10th anniversary pack and I played through the whole set. Damn that was a good month. Honestly, I was hoping they'd have a demo available for 360 as well. My PC is getting a bit creaky now as I haven't really had a reason to upgrade for a while. Also, I really want to see how they're going to handle an RTS on a console. I have no interest in Battle for Middle Earth 2 (hate LoTR) so this is the first time a console RTS has even been a seriously considered option for me. Oh well, I guess some C&C is better than no C&C at all.

Well, as right as any other company in Europe at any rate. Until it's competitive with North American pricing, I'm hesitant to call any of the prices mentioned in that article "right."

So, as this seemed like as good a thread to mention it in as any, Alien Hominid HD hits this week. w00t and such. Between this and Crackdown, Friday is going to be an awesome day for my 360, and an unfortunate one for my wallet.

I actually quite liked Sunshine. It wasn't the best Mario, (hell, maybe it shouldn't have been a Mario game at all) but camera aside, it was quite fun. Those weird out of nowhere platforming parts were awesome. Now I kinda want to play it again, but I think a friend has my copy. I must track him down.

Man, there's been a whole lotta raping recently. By the way, 'vania: What does TFFT mean? I've seen it a few times but no one's ever explained it when I've been around.
