Does that mean you need to pay or not? I assume you do, as that's how companies tend to fuck you, but you may be lucky... -
American McGee's Alice 2! Or the Return of...they don't know.

Fair enough then. At least I was right about Grimm... -
Call of Duty 4 has one. I'm sure something from this year will as well quite shortly.

Idle Thumbs sent people video games, and they took pictures

Probably taken with a webcam. A lot of them do that by default. -

So formal. Please, call us Pete. -
Every 10 up to 50. After 50, you didn't get anything until you hit 100. ...yeah, I found every package in both games.

Welp, low turnout again (how's that repair coming, toblix?) but interesting to try out the new modes. Didn't do Chopper Vs Chopper, as that's for only two players, but the other ones that we tried were pretty good. The bike races were fun, but with only 3 people once we'd dispersed early on pretty non-violent. I get the feeling with a bunch of people there'd be bats flying everywhere and lots of fun to be had. The most surprisingly awesome thing was the new co-op mode. I think it's called Club Missions or something similar. Everyone playing gets phone calls from (I think) Angus, the wheelchair-bound lost member, and the gang rides out together to topple the mission. The game will set a ride group leader (the guy at the front of formations) and riding in formation fighting rival gangs, hijacking drug-filled sedans, and escaping the FIB felt fantastic. I had to ditch my bike for the first mission of one of our sessions, so I spent a good deal of time riding bitch that round. A lot of fun that, as it allows you full aiming and shooting craziness. Wrestlevania got the best view of one of my happier moments, when I unloaded shotgun rounds into a pursuing cop and everyone in the car dove out of it on fire. So yeah, good times. Club Missions is great fun, even with a small number. The other new modes seemed like they could be pretty sweet with more people as well (hint hint). Verdict on TLAD multiplayer content? Pretty damn fun. -
We do love us our cheese...

At least it looks like people intend to be returning to the fold soon... -
Achievement or badass unlock. The reward for getting all the packages back in the day was that a tank or attack helicopter would spawn somewhere for you. It happens in GTAIV as well. Maybe there is such a thing in TLAD, but I haven't heard of it.

I thought Bad Day LA was made in China by some studio McGee moved out there to start. I assumed they went away after that game sucked. Maybe Spicy Horse was them, but I don't think so. I think all they've done so far is Grimm. -
You read the rest of that sentence, right? Seems to me to be assuming that we have read it but that the game concept never crossed our minds. Nachimir, I'm very aware that comics are pretty awesome these days, and honestly have been for a while. I'm a fan. I was merely thinking that a cheap and trashy comic book tie-in would be perfectly in theme with what they're doing. I love the idea of a circles of gaming hell game. Would play that in a second. EDIT: I sound sort of pissed off in this post. I'm really not. My bluntness is due to the fact that I haven't slept for about 30 hours at this point. Go school! Sorry if I come off as a dick today...

Damn. Already have it on Steam and GCN. And I totally feel like having some cheesesticks too...

Graphic novel, you mean? Dante's Inferno, done a la Conan the Barbarian and following the new story from the game?
-
Oh my god why hasn't this guy been modded yet?
-
I've convinced myself to buy this game, but have yet to decide what system to get it for. Who's playing what?

They blew up just fine when I SMG'd them. Kind of bullet sponges, sure, but by no means impervious. I didn't bother with the pipe bombs. I find dropping things off a moving vehicle to be kind of spotty. I've gotten better after all the practice in GTA Race during Grand Thumb Auto, but I'd still much rather have an SMG any day.

Through the pants? Anyone?
-
Oh my god this is spectacular. Love it. Must play more.

Cigol is a PS3 owner. PS3 owners are resentful of TLAD. Understandable really, but I'm not sure if the thumb is the best place to bring a console war.

You can turn off the film grain, and I recommend it. I played quite a bit last night and really enjoyed what I got to see. The story overlap is quite interesting. Honestly, I didn't really remember who Johnny was after GTAIV, but seeing the small overlaps with Nico's story is really twigging a lot of cool memories. There have been a few moments already when I get that tingly "perfect gaming moment" feeling from the game, and as such this is already one of my favorite things from the year. Also, kind of cool to know that a seemingly standard hit that I pulled as Nico was the catalyst for a full-scale war between the Lost and a rival gang.

Grand Thumb Auto XII: Those Damned Thumbs
miffy495 replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I think I saw that you were online about 3 hours before we got started. We ended up not being able to use the DLC this time around as the servers were swamped and both Wrestle and I couldn't download it in time. Ended up being just Wrestle, James, and I, but James really went all out on the craziness and things were plenty entertaining. Hope to see more folks turn out next week though.
