  1. PixelJunk Shooter!

Damn, forgot this was out this week. I guess I need to fire up the PS3 once I'm done my homework.
  2. GOTY.CX 2009

I didn't hate it. The only thing that really pissed me off was the non-ending. It wasn't a bad game by any means, just quite average. I think all the hate is just because people expected so much more from the PoP name. Not sure why, honestly. Of the seven Prince of Persia games that have come out (to my knowledge: PoP, PoP 2, PoP3D, PoP:SoT, PoP:WW, PoP:TT, PoP2008) only the original and Sands of Time have been amazing, must play experiences. The others have been at best pretty good and at worst abysmal. I count PoP2008 as "pretty good," myself. Within the series, it's actually one of the better games, it just can't come near the lofty heights set by SoT.
  3. Merry Christmas, Thumbs!

Yeah, I'm seeing a scroll bar as well.
  4. Life

    Damn. Very jealous sir.
  5. Dead Space

I really should go back and pick this up again. As soon as Fallout 3 came out last fall, I just kind of forgot about Dead Space and haven't been back to it since. I really did enjoy the few chapters that I played.
  6. I would be completely down for a Yaris race. Custom paint jobs only. Let's make this funny...
  7. Once I get the game, I would love for this to be a thing. At the moment, though I actually have the money to get it, I'm stuck in this "my birthday is in a week and Christmas is right after that" can't-buy-anything limbo. Once I can buy things again (or if someone is awesome and gets me Forza for one of the aforementioned occasions) I'm totally in.
  8. Getting this set up in advance, as we came up with an excellent title during today's festivities.
  9. New people: Read this, say hi.

I believe that may be the most noble purpose I have ever served.
  10. New people: Read this, say hi.

*ahem* The theme song has 4 words. That is very obviously FOUR distinct words.
  11. Old Games That Hold Up...Or Don't

DESPAIR!!! ...actually, it doesn't look that bad.
  12. THUMBS!

    :tup::tup:
  13. Should be good to go. I need to be at work by 5, but that leaves about 2 and a half hours of GTA from start time to when I need to leave.
  14. GOTY.CX 2009

Grah! Why do people keep recreating existing threads?
  15. Oh, thank god. I don't even know where my mind went there...
  16. Movie/TV recommendations

Ahaha. My girlfriend and I will now occasionally sing that at each other just for the hell of it. It's so laughably awful. When I saw it there were only two other people in the theater besides the girl and myself. It was the last day of it's Calgary run, and the late show too, so I guess nobody cared anymore. Always weird to see a movie in that kind of setting.
  17. iPhoning it in

Yeah, I played the PC flash version of that. (It may in fact be in the indie games compendium?) It's pretty great. Don't know how the ipod/phone version plays, but as it was a one-button game, I'd imagine that just a tap on the screen would do the job.
  18. Left 4 Thumbs

I may be good for that. I need to spend the night working hard on a paper, but the afternoon could be a go. That's night for you anyway, so I think that works.
  19. Dragon Age

Is this a game that will require MMO experience? I have exactly a week of Anarchy Online that I didn't care for. Am I in for a hell of a learning curve when I boot this sucker up?
  20. Far Cry 2

Hey, it's cool. I usually don't point stuff like that out, I just thought it was a really amusing example of that sort of thing.
  21. Yeah, one of the first things I did when I got a DSi was replay PH. It's not a huge difference, but it was still pretty cool. I can imagine an XL/LL (heard it called both) would be even cooler.
  22. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I always go for instrumental jazz when I'm trying to study. Wayne Shorter, Kenny Dorham, and Jackie McLean being my three main go-tos.
  23. Life

Wait, are you the loved one or the drunk one? Either way,
  24. Bargains

Bah! Damn Steam! Just as I was thinking I was safe, Tomb Raider Underworld is $7.50. Just one more game I've been meaning to play for a while. I'll need to think on this...
