Or attacked by the Ghostbusters.

I bought it when it was cheap, but got frustrated with it and gave up long before I noticed that they made promises of fixing. What a disappointing game.
-
I may need to try that, as every time I've attempted to upload a video, I've had the same issues 'blix was talking about.

Oh man, I wait for so long, and now it's looking like something is going to be happening the week that I'm nowhere near a computer. I guess an extra week won't kill me. Barely.

...I just poked around and can't find your birthday anywhere in your profile. Sorry, man. Didn't mean to be a prick. Happy belated, if it's not ridiculously late now? Also, happy birthday Sombre!

Oh man, sorry I missed that. I needed my girlfriend's sister to help me pick out a valentine's gift for her and the only time she could do it was Forza time. I'll definitely be back in 2 weeks time.

GTA L: Grand Thumb Auto Liverpool (50th anniversary edition)

No, Jon may get insulted, as I'll be in his state. Going to Florida for reading week. Won't be bringing my laptop or anything with me though, due to not wanting to get *********-d by border security. They have internets there, I will just have no means of gaining access to them. -

It mostly hurts because now on the "real" GTA 50, I'll be in a different country with no access to the internet, let alone an Xbox. -
Sorry, I'm pretty sure I haven't done that before. It just seemed too perfect a quote to pass up.

I think I explained this better a bunch of pages back in the thread when my "life" update was "HOT DAMN I GOT APPROVED FOR AN HONOURS THESIS!" but to recap: My supervisor is a professor of Ethics. He specialized further in that he is fairly well known in relevant circles because of his efforts to make various ethical theories fit in in some way with incompatible determinism (that is, a determinist who does not believe that free will exists, or is even compatible with reality). I happen to be an incompatible determinist, and my specfic project is in finding a rationale for principles of desert (as in: X deserves to be punished/rewarded for performing act Y) without having to allow that X ever freely chose Y. It's proven to be a very difficult thing that has taken up most of my free time for the past 8 months, but I'm actually making a lot of progress recently and am quite proud of myself.

Downloading the game as I type. Pretty excited to try it, as finishing ME2 two days ago means I have a bit of time for a new game. Wouldn't have gone for it if not for a friend asking me if I wanted to go in on a 4 pack, but as this made it reasonably cheap, I'm excited for some game.

I'm cautious, but will be buying it day one. Even if it's not that good, Sonic is fairly fondly remembered for me. The important factor here is that Sonic is the girl's favorite thing, Video game-wise, anyway. It'll be nice to have something else to play together that doesn't make her motion sick, even if it ends up mediocre.

Pssst... "Firenze" is how Italians say "Florence." They're the same place... -IGN.com

As I said before, I may or may not have anything legitimately interesting to say, but could say a thing into a microphone if the public demands it.

That's fucking great. Pretty jealous right now. Fun Fact: Aside from that he's an expert in the field I'm interested in, one of the primary motivations for asking the particular thesis supervisor that I have is that he reminded me so much of Giles.

What would you do if I pmed you?

Oh man, baby T. How did I never make that connection?

I ended up doing homework on a Tuesday afternoon. With the exception of Shakespeare, shame on you all. -

So I just showed up all excited and riled up for some GTA. I just finished writing an exam and was totally stressed and ready to play. Then I find out that noone is showing up today. What the fuck, thumbs? Shakespeare is a lovely person, but two people does not make for the best of games. We need more people, STAT! -
It's out tomorrow, so I figured it was time for a thread. I'm super pumped about this one. Have a pre-order from Amazon, but didn't spring for the fancy shipping, so it may be a week or so before I actually get to play. Just watched the ~40 minute Giantbomb quick look, and am even more psyched than before. Anyone, thoughts on this game? ...PENGUIN SUIT!
-
Well that was quick. Thank you, James. Anyone else looking to network a deal, let this be your sounding board!

No thanks. I'm a guy whose resolution this year was to start clicking on "normal" instead of "easy." I beat ME2 on normal, only died a few times. That's good enough for me.

Just finished it tonight. Goddamn, that is a nice chunk of GAME. Over the past two weeks, I logged just over 14 hours in ME1 and just over 34 hours in ME2. That means that 50 hours of my last two weeks were spent as the same damn commander Shepard, and I loved every minute of it. The entire final act of the game was great The only part I wasn't all that into was Everyone survived for me, and I was really impressed with how the whole thing turned out. I stand by my earlier comments though. All things considered, I think I preferred the Mako to the planet scanning. It just felt more like being an explorer to me. Sure, the Mako needed some re-jiggering to get into a less frustrating state, but I think that removing it altogether was the wrong move. The heat clips for weapons were also pretty irritating, and I wound up using a gun that I wasn't actually that big a fan of as my primary weapon just because it was the least likely to run out of ammo at an inopportune time. At the same time, I found myself a lot more reliant on biotic powers this time around, particularly Overload and Warp, as ammo didn't get through shields and barriers nearly as effectively. After they were softened up, Shockwave and Body Slam would usually finish them off. Would have been nice to see a bowling achievement when going up a bunch of husks, as one hit from Shockwave was normally enough to kill them. I'd line a bunch of them up, throw out a shockwave, and watch the corpses fly in every direction like bowling pins. Very gratifying, and made me feel as much like a badass as any game has. Anyway, I don't think a full replay of both MEs as a renegade is what I want to do right away, but I'm still in an RPG mood. Think I'll finally fire up that copy of Dragon Age I've had sitting around for a month.

Finished Mass Effect 2 about 2 hours ago. I'll put thoughts in that thread though.
