  1. San Andreas

I have a 22 inch Sony Trinitron. It's a very nice TV and the colors are crisp, but it's not plasma or anything. i wonder if it looks better on a plasma TV ?
  2. San Andreas

I just started playing this game Erkki are you having problems looking at the darn small map. The resoultion is so low, I can't tell what each of the spots on the map are. I have to sit right in front of the TV to be able to see what's going on.
  3. Hello WARNING TONS OF SPOILERS AHEAD. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. I just played POP:WW and I have a few unanswered questions about the plot that lingered with meafter finishing the game. Anyone who has finished and has a clue about what I'm talking about, can you please help? 1- I think Duncan asked this in his review, but why was the Dahaka after the prince. Didn't he fix the timeline in POP SOT, and the sands were never opened? 2- Why is the prince himself the architect of the sands? How come he's the one creating them? 3- when the prince was the Sand Wraith everything happened in the past like it did before, except for one thing, the actual prince being killed by the Dahaka instead of the Sand Wraith itself. Why was that the only thing different. 4- I didn't get how, if he took the empress of time to the present, and he kills here there, things will be fixed? Anyone who understood the twisted story please help. I'm going
  4. Oh my god UBISOFT . Why don't they just admit that they f*** up a classic. And to think just last year, they were my favorite publisher.
  5. Piece of Silence *early spoiler*

I think it won't I just hope it sells though
  6. Piece of Silence *early spoiler*

Wow coming from an AG debate, I see the complete opposite here Very interesting to see two different sides of the story. I have a few comments and a few questions for you guys? As far as adventure game quality goes I totally agree with all of you, but one can argue that a lot of the games of today are lacking. For each Half life 2, we had a gazillion WW 2 games, and for each Katamari Damaci we had a gazillion vietnam games. So there is a lack of creativity all aboard the gaming horizon. Now my question what can be done to revive the adventure genre? I mean quirky looking games like BG&E although captured our hearts barely sold anything. Even Prince of persia, the highly acclaimed game sold so poorly that it had to be bastardized. So is just introducing action gonna be enough? Are we sure that introducing stealth or brilliant graphics or a story gonna sell the game? Remember a more complex AI and a more complex graphics engine means a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$ and it means publishers will have to take a gamble on a big risk project compared to something like Lord of the Rings (fill in the blanks).
  7. Piece of Silence *early spoiler*

Well there's Vampyre story, from the same team that did Curse of monkey Island. And Telltale games are working on their own adventure too So there ya go
  8. Piece of Silence *early spoiler*

I agree . TLJ was a classic, and whoever wants story, it delivers in the shitload. I had the same problems you had with Runaway, and I was just clicking every pixel on my monitor to see what shines and what doesn't.
  9. Fuck

    Thrustmaster dude.
  10. San Andreas

I heard you have some lock on mode now in this new one compared to vice city, so targetting should be easier. Also like Chris said, San Andreas is a little of an RPG, so the more you use something the better you become with it. Run or swim a lot, and you'll have higher stamina. drive a lot and you'll have more control over the cars. And shoot a lot, and you'll have better aiming
  11. Fuck

No it was only one section of it.

You know on G4 (which everyone hates including me), they had this stupid show where they abused a PS2, XBOX and cube. They wanted to find out which one withstands most damage. First test: drop a heavy weight on the console PS2 broke down and wouldn't start. XBOX had not a single scratch, and the cube was scratched but still played fine So PS2 was eliminated Second test: hit it with a sledgehammer XBOX did not take a scratch whereas the cube was scratched badly but both played fine Final test: drop the console from 2 floors height XBOX got damaged badly and the start button was ripped apart Cube was broken, but it still ran. Cube was on top , so go figure The little one whipped all the other consoles' asses

Thrustmaster is your answer. They have a controller for 19.99 that plays both on a PC and PS2. I am playing POP WW using it, and it works like a charm. USB port and PS2 cable. Really magic http://us.thrustmaster.com/products/d_prd.php?p=T174&fam=5
  14. Giveaway 2005: Who dunnit?

When I sayed Duncan was correct, he had: Mrs. Peacock did it with the lead piping in the library. I excluded Plum because of you switching in the second round And all the others were excluded to, so it could only be Mrs. Peacock. So now that explains it. See Mattsie I was right
  15. Giveaway 2005: Who dunnit?

Can you whisper it to me
  16. Giveaway 2005: Who dunnit?

I play lots of Fantasy NBA. To win you need to see which players are hot and which are not. So stats is my middle name.

Agreed I'm playing it on my gf's XBOX and enjoying it Immensely. The only problem I have with it is that everyone is calling me the chicken chaser, and it's pissing me off. I wanna kill everyone who calls me chicken chaser but then I can't be the good character that I want to be

  22. Tell Us About Yourself

Hi I'm H Simpson from Springfield. I'm yellow and fat and burp all the time. I'm obnoxious and a couch potatoe. I watch TV all day long and have an annoying neighbor who keeps preaching to me about heavenly bs. I have a wife and 2 kids boy and lisa. Oh and not to forget the one who doesn't speak much.
  23. Deadworm and Trep

Watch it mister. He is our governor you know.
  24. Holiday cash=Console for me.

Ok here's my take on the PS2, XBOX and Gamecube. First let's talk PS2. There is really no difference between the slim one and fat one except two things: 1- the Slim PS2 looks much slicker. 2- The fat PS2 can hold a hard drive. I know only of one version of final fantasy that supports the HD so it's pretty useless. I'd go with a slim PS2 unless the fat one is cheaper. In terms of gameplay, PS2 and XBOX are my personal favorites, but there are a hoarde of people I know who swear by the cube. PS2 has the most RPG's including Shadow hearts covenant (an excellent game), star ocean, Baulder's gate 1 &2, and the FF serires. But I think XBOX shines in the RPG domain because they have Sudeki, Fable, and KOTOR 1 and 2. And let's not forget the upcoming Jade Empire. The cube has some RPG's as well, like the new upcoming Zelda, Tales of Symphonia and Paper Mario. My favorite platform is the PS2 coz of the volume of titles they have out.
