MAN would that EVER be awesome!!!

In OLDBOY I love how they shot this entire fight sequence in the corridor in just one take without a stuntdouble for the guy... amazing
-
if you just got a great new graphics board you wanna put it to some good use and see what you paid for! if you read the original post from chris you will notice that he is talking about good games for the pc with the great graphics to show the power of his new board. At least that's how I interpreted it.
-
wow... I just checked out some other screenshots... and I guess they're even worse... I never really bothered before... WHO MAKES THESE GAMES??? They ought to be shot! So Chris... I got nothing... 'cause there is nothing! Again what did you get that X800XT for? fool

retards who are in the know know that I was referring to the processing power needed to run it with full detail, jeez everyone reads penny arcade, everyone knows that this stuff looks shite! *shakes head despairingly* but what did I expect... on another note: it is just incredible how much you can do with how little (also going back to that whole "the new nintendo way" thing) comparing the soulless precision that is everquest 2 to the stylish beauty that is world of warcraft! everquest 2 is the by far more demanding game in terms of hardware though, even more so than doom 3... that is what I was referring to, now fuck off! EDIT: On another note again Chris, what did you get an X800XT for if you don't know what to do with it? You processing power whore!
-
you could try Everquest 2, not in terms of gameplay, but aparently the graphics are such that there is no machine that can handle full details on that one...tho graphicstyle is shite so forget about it...

gogo psychonauts! we are all psychonuts! nuts nuts nuts.... I... gotta go...
-
best thing I have the pleasure of "seeing" in the last few weeks has to be the second series of Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex... GOD words fail me... I never knew animé could be this good as a series... *shivers delighted*

like there's a difference! i thought you two were interchangable? even though only trep has the "blender's edge"
-
is this in relation to that one hindered national holiday? kingz I can't hear you bro' what's wrong with the icecream? though it does give you tummyaches if you eat more than 1.5 kilos in one sitting
-
do you blend to express yourself? EDIT: shit now I really wanna buy a blender...and a kitchen aid one at that... their price tag is so deliciously ridiculous!
-
so anybody gonna drop some shakespeare in here or wha'?
-
that is exactly why I felt that q3a was their best game ever! no storyline and pure gameplay...
-
yeah you're right, out goes my hope for a q3a feel and in comes the dread that I reserve for the things that go wrong because people mean well...
-
as long as it's as fast and intuitive as q3a i don't care about the rest really
-
well I guess it depends on wether or not you take it seriously, which I just couldn't... it's just so ridiculously over the top... really nice touch with the black and white... EDIT: and of course it's in french which makes it totally rad!
-
Really? I thought it was just funny as hell! Totally over-the-top-crazy-insane-silly that scene with the old lady is soooooo macabre!
-
what is the brand? mine is a gainward 6600GT and it runs like hell
-
Yeah a friend of mine is a huge fan of Kieslowski and has been berating me for not having seen it yet, but I find it quite hard to get a hold of... but I shall succeed eventually

Let's not turn this thread into a stupid discussion of movie-making ideology, ok? Actually I didn't like the fact that Hero tells the same story three times... I didn't like that kinda thing in Lola Rennt either... feels stupid for moviemakers to show you three different ways they could have gone with a story...

I just saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow! Brilliant! I love the whole feel of the movie though there are times when you really feel the technical side kind of dropping the ball, but still! An absolute must-see, especially because it is such a unique vision that takes me right back to my wish that someone was seriously doing a movie version of those old tintin comic books! that feel of adventure and pure joy and amazement! aside from that: Dead Man (by jim jarmush) brilliant crazy neurotic western, one of the best western ever Willard (by glen morgan) nice although predictable performance by crispin glover who to me still seems to be trapped in the body of George McFly. unfortunately the overall feel of the movie is unfinished and the point of the story that never seems to be able to focus on a certain theme, eludes me. to me they were trying to do everything ok instead of one thing really good... alas 13 going 30 is a totally predictable teen-dream flick that is so unexciting and formulaic that it feels almost good again. but the real reason for this movie working for me has to be jennifer garner who just manages to make any character work with aparently no effort at all! (sorry, guess this is basically cuz she looks a lot like one of my exes... ) On the Waterfront (by Elia Kazan, starring Marlon Brando) Well an obvious classic but a great movie nonetheless. personally I fail to why people make such a big deal out of the scene in the cab, but I guess I would be one of the few (just like brando himself ;P) great movie, must-see.

Thinking about the "GREAT" (HYPERBOLE) concept of "dimitri" I was just thinking the kind of complexity such a game would have to embrace... In my case that would be growing up with that TV Show starring Lee Majors... [linkage] no! not that one! [linkage] you know the one I'm talking about, the one where he is a stuntman and he sings the theme song himself... And growing up amongst the total legendary german David Hasselhof hype. My sister actually had one of those fan-books where you could read about David Hasselhoff's favorite icecream and stuff... So that is just a small sample of reasons why I am highly doubtfull any game can reproduce the memorable experience my life has been...

I think Keira Knightly ought to sue them! That is definitely her face!

wow! wouldn't she have been way better as the Croft in The Movie? I always thought the idea of doing Indiana Jones type movies with a female lead would have been interesting, but they had to go and do those two shitty movies based on... oh wait... shit!
