  1. The Secret World

I'm enjoying it so far Is anyone else playing it?
  2. Leisure Suit Larry in "gimme your money"

I think the Andromeda guys will make their goal. They made about 60,000 in the past day since pledges always seem to pick up near the end of kickstarters and it will probably continue to increase. I hope they make it anyway. Out of all of the Sierra people, they seemed the furthest along before they even got the funding. Or at least they've had a couple of playable prototypes. As for Paul Trowe, I can sort of understand how he acted towards the Sam Suede kickstarter. They originally worded it so it sounded like Al Lowe was working with them and used Leisure Suit Larry images in the kickstarter page. Plus he apologized about being an asshole. Doesn't really excuse that he did it but I guess it's good he apologized. http://www.spacequest.net/index.php/topic/286-controversy-paul-trowe-on-the-two-guys/page__st__20__p__2266#entry2266
  3. Could I get whitelisted for the server? My account name is MechaTofuPirate. Somehow I didn't notice there was a thumbs server until the progresscast.
  4. I love the postcard design so much. Maybe I'll frame it in a frame that's at least twice as thick as the postcard! I also hope that guy is part of the Idle Thumbs wallpaper pack that's being given to donors.
  5. So the thumbs crew has played with the new DLC then? How is it?
  6. Favorite early cancelled TV series

It gets really awful and boring in the middle of the second season but picks up again towards the very end when Lynch comes back. It would have been better if it just ended when they finish the case with Laura Palmer's murder but I still think Lynch would have been able to redeem the show somehow.
  7. A Valley without Wind

I feel like they just kind of shoved a bunch of things from other games into one thing and hoped it would work. I was hoping it would improve a lot when I pre-ordered it and got into the alpha but it still feels like it needs work. Also, agree with the billion other people that have stated that the graphics suck.
  8. The Walking Dead

Hey other guy that actually saved Doug! I also picked Doug because I really enjoyed the game. It's definitely one of my favorite things Telltale has done. I'm excited to hear about the Fables games eventually, I really enjoy the comics.
  9. Gah, I missed the event. I'll play if you ever set up another one.
  10. Favorite early cancelled TV series

Twin Peaks is my choice. It ended on the biggest cliffhanger I've ever seen in a show. Even worse, the movie that came out after the show ended was a prequel.
  11. Zorro Joins Double Fine

Congrats, working for Tim Schafer sounds like it would be your dream job.
  12. Sherlock Holmes and the Aventure of the Kickstarter

Well...I funded but I don't see it meeting its goal. It's too bad that no one even seems to know about it. I only found out about it here.
  13. Amanita Design and GOG: This could get ugly.

I guess Amanita is taking the blame for it. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/04/20/amanita-sorry-to-botanicula-pre-orders-give-free-stuff/
  14. Amanita Design and GOG: This could get ugly.

On a side note, it's a pretty cool game.
  15. Jane Jensen's Pinkerton Road CSG Kickstarter

I funded it because the Gabriel Knight series was my favorite at Sierra but I'm going to agree with everyone where the kickstarter should have just been for her next time. Way more people would have given money if it was just for some detective story by her or whatever.
  16. I didn't even know this was by Suda 51. I guess I should check it out. Even though some of his games are flawed, at least they're memorable and unique to me so I always enjoy playing them when they come out.
  17. Legend of Grimrock

Pre-ordered it today from their site after seeing it mentioned so much on shacknews. It's been so long since I've played something like Dungeon Master so I'm pretty excited about it.
  18. Project Zomboid

Oh no, a java argument thread. I'm staying out because I like Java but I don't think I'll be able to get anyone to change their minds on it. Anyway, I agree that the interface is shit but I bought the game a while ago because I think it has a lot of potential and I can't think of any zombies games that actually feel like a zombie movie.
  19. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

In case anyone missed it, the book they're going to be doing for their book podcast is The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes.
  20. Never heard of the podcast but it definitely sounds interesting.
  21. Wasteland 2

Even then at least more and more people are discovering kickstarter so they'll just have a bunch of people pledging $10-15 instead of a smaller portion doing $50.
  22. Giant Bomb Joins GameSpot

I'm not too thrilled with all of the sites getting bought but I suppose that if Gerstmann and crew somehow get screwed over again, they can always leave and create another site. John Davison seems like an ok guy that will try to prevent that from happening though.
  23. Fusion is pretty good but felt really linear to me. Metroid: Other M has been the only Metroid game I haven't been thrilled with.
  24. Wasteland 2

Yeah, that was my reasoning for funding the game. I like the idea that the more they make, the more depth they'll be able to add to the game.
  25. GDC 2012: With Blasts

Hopefully you get to interview the creator of Proteus again sometime. I like what's in the game so far.
