Replay Grim Fandango. Hell, play Katamari Damacy. The sequal comes soon. That'll be awesome. We can't convince you though. The only way for you to see that games are worth playing is to play the good ones. This isn't Reading Rainbow on PBS, and I don't know about the others, but I'm not in the buisness of helping to cure the disillusionment of others.

Actually by ending it with them creating a monster, doesn't he show that the heros of the industry are actually contributing to the layer of shit they put out?

Bob Denver died.

I think why games suck was captured in a recent quote of the moment... the one about games being about things and stories being about people. This does sort of show the mathamatical side of game making, which may be an arguement towards the software engineer arguement... so long as you remove nerdy from the mix.

I liked Sierra adventures after SoMI... I still like Sierra adventures. I have the entire Quest for Glory series (though the 4th one is hard to play because they never properly patched it).

""President Bush on Monday nominated John Roberts to succeed William H. Rehnquist as chief justice and called on the Senate to confirm him before the Supreme Court opens its fall term on Oct. 3. Just 50 years old, Roberts could shape the court for decades to come."" http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-09-05-roberts_x.htm This bugs me because the guys is so young. I don't know that he has the expieriance to be a Chief.

Chief Justice Rehnquist dies at 80 I was hoping he could hang in there. It is a sad day for America.

At least the budget part. yes. "Each year since 2001, the Bush administration has slashed Louisiana's requests for flood control funds. Congress did only slightly better in its final budgets. Whatever the reasons, less than 2% of the Army Corps of Engineers' $4.7 billion budget this year was set aside for three crucial New Orleans levee projects. Now it's hard to fathom why such urgent needs were such low priorities."

And me... mine was the other day.

That's why it's a sad day. He was to the right... but he was moderate enough in recent times that he would vote to block any legislation that was too insane. Now George W. Bush gets to pick a second Justice... as I said... it is a sad day for America... it just depends on what your reasoning is. Also, thank you.. it's been a nice day. -
So the silver comes with black and the black comes with silver?

The reason that the funding was cut on the safe guards was because one group of scientists said they had 5 years and the other said they had more than that brefore a major hurricane could destroy the city... so with all of the spending that's been going on the decided to spread the federal funding out over several years. What they didn't count on was the hurricane comming sooner rather than later.

The thing I don't understand is the whole PSP movie thing. Sure it's cheaper than a portable DVD player... but you can only watch it on your PSP... I just don't get it.

I don't see anyone who isn't interested in gaming ploping down $400-$500 on the unit alone. For that money they need to include a freaking game. I'm probably going with nintendo, simply because I don't have the money to keep buying a new system for those prices. Has it occured to anyone else that one of these console companies may fold under after this generation? It's not like it was in the old days, where consoles were kid money... we're talking 400 bucks here... there's a lot more to lose in the market place.

It's all about they cash.
