I don't know how, I don't know why, but Fuzzy and a robot have a mutual crush. Fuzzy and a male robot. Fuzzy and a MARRIED male robot. She got pissed, and beat the shit out of him. Now she's pissed at Fuzzy and her Husband. Fuzzy has had a hard life.

I need to kill someone off. All of my Sims want to see a ghost. I turned the aging off for the first generation. I want to hit the lifetime goal, and then reproduce before I let him die. I wish they wouldn't have let the robots woo hoo... it's weird. I also wish that Fuzzy didn't have double lightning bolt chemestry with the female robot. (They added a way to tell if your sim found another sim attractive. Up to 3 lightning bolts.)

Ok, you can't sleep at the lot. It almost killed Fuzzy to try, as I was stubborn. However, you can do something better. If you're like me, and you built a robotics shop, you can build robot sims. (So far this is the best new item I've found. Build them for use, or sell them for $6000. Robot Sims: 1. Function just like a regular sim, only have fewer needs. 2. Recharge quickly in sunlight. 3. Never age. The only thing they can't do is be submerged in water. When I built the first one, I had her go to the lot by herself. She built, and sold, and cleaned... and she was happy about it. Fuzzy now has 2 robots in his family, a male and a female. They've gotten married. One is working in organized crime, the other is in science. I'm trying to max them in everything so that they can live with the McBitty family for generations to come.

Yes, it still has the time warp. This allows you to have a normal career track as well as a buisness. It adds a few other things, like chemistry (your sim is attracted to certain people.), the lifetime goal, and an on sim inventory. (I'll let you know others as things develope.) I recommend putting in a cheap bed and shower at the buisness. I've left the game running before and come back to find my sim giving himself a sponge bath in the office sink.

Here's a better example of my thought line. When I started The Sims 2, I went to a lot to buy something. My menu set remained, and I thought, "hmmm, I wonder if I can buy a store." They clearly left the hole available. I bought the new buisness expansion. It's good. (I bought it because of the robots.) However, I found myself cheating right off, as I wanted my buisness to be in my community, and not in the "buisness district." A store costs between 30-200 K. I wanted to start a home buisness, and grow until I was rich... but there is a complete lack of a sign that says employees only. I would try to use the bathroom, only to have the customers in it. I had to wait 10 minutes for my computer to be free just to abandon my home buisness. The open/closed sign is a good feature, but it needed to allow for individual rooms. The best feature is the "life time goal," which can keep your sim happy forever. So far my Sims life has been hard. 1. His shower broke on the first day at 5 pm.... he was forced to stink until 9 am. 2. His garbage can tipped, and roaches ensued. 3. His computer broke. This caused a downward spiral in his world, because I've been trying not to cheat after giving myself the "startup loan." There's no money in the budget to fix it, so the noble Fuzzy tried to fix it on his own. 3.5. The freakin' computer exploded while he was fixing it. I missed that part, because I turned around, but when I came back he was sitting shirtless, charred, and with his hair ascued. Seconds later a theripist appeared, and hypnotized him, I assume trying to repress the memory of it all. He's still recovering.

Knighthoods for three game designers
General Fuzzy McBitty replied to adfegg's topic in Video Gaming
Um... I don't know that that's such a good idea... if only because it makes statements like "Jack Thompson is such an assclown." much stranger. -
What is this Dos Box? I have a bajillion old games that I want to play. I managed to get Kyrandia III working with VDM sound, but there are others that I need.

Do those even work under XP? I was having a hard time with them.

The only one I can think of off hand is Torrin's Passage. I would, however, like to point out that Universal Hint Systems, though not an internal program, is good for poking you in the right direction if all you're doing is looking to avoid spoilers. (A good, not lazy, person would probably give you a link... but I chose not to. )

Come on now, Let's be fair. Gun doesn't deserve the fart. Maybe the down, but not the fart. It's one of the better western games I've played. The problem is that it's too compacted. The world is small, and the story, while complete, is far too short. I love a good western, and I don't see enough of that in games. A lot of WWII though. I can only think of a hand full of western games.

Black and White 2: for the new game play options because the creature is somehow less lovable. GTA: SA again... this time with downloaded cars and guns. The car from Batman Begins rules, especially when you make it bullet proof. Gun: Concept Story Too short though Also, I was hoping for more emersion of free play elements. (For some reason I thought it would have more free play.) Fable- The Lost Chapters :tmeh: It was fun at first. Eventually thought, I got bored. When I got to the extended content after the original game, I quit. I started again with a hacked character.... it was fun for a while... but lost its glimmer faster than my hacked hero aged. (And since aging is based on skill distribution, that's pretty fast.) Ironically, that ageing is part of the reason that it lacked luster. I was older than my mom when I saved her, and no one else aged at all. . . the timing of the game felt like most of the events took place over a short period of time. It might have been a good idea, but it was poorly exacuted, and made the game world feel smaller, not to mention more plastic.

I need to get the Game Cube version of this.

I don't know. I think the PC thing is a problem. It used to be that when a console was comming the big focus was on the games. This seems to be your biggest complaint. That we're complaining about the system and not looking at the games in general. The problem with this complaint is that the vast majority of the advertising drive and press releases haven't been about the games, they've been about how X-Treme!!1 the consoles themselves will be. At the end they always tack on something like... oh, and dude... dude dude dude dude... the games for this thing'll be sweet. They're focusing so much on the console and pushing it to the media that I have very few ideas what they're going to do to utilize the awesome power of the next generation... beyond "dude, the graphics for this thing'll be great." Well know duuuuh. Or in the words of Carlos Mencia: dee dee dee! At the end of the day the games are what matters. The industry is currently whoring itself out to the younger, dumber part of the gaming generation that wants everything XTREME!!1 and will buy it because it is extreme. Me... I'm not as young or as dumb as I was in the 90s... and I want to see some games. The industry has gotten so caught up in its technological wet dream that it forgot to show me the games. The games are what it is about... so damnit, bring it. In my day we didn't need a console to be a rig that played dvds, mp3s, and washed your car.

The Super Mario Brothers Super Show... it was SUPER. I remember this.

I initially wanted a PS3. Somewhere in all of this I decided that it wouldn't be worth the expense. I upgraded my computer a few years ago for $500. By upgraded I mean that I took the cd drives and floppy drive out and built a new computer. How long before consoles become PCs ?

I'd be excited if I thought that I could afford one of these with rent, food, and other essentials. Oh well... I'll buy a Revolution. 'Cause if you want money for people with minds that hate, I'm here to tell you brother you'll have to wait.

There's one somewhere with the president talking about how John Roberts should be chief justice that has a fox news alert at the bottom that says Alert: Bush: Roberts is a gentleman.

I fart in your general direction; your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elder berries. Wasn't there a thread about how we always treat new people like shit? -
Sorry... I don't have my settings showing stuff that's 5 months old. My bad.
