Ok.... I'm being dumb. Do I buy a ps1 card and stick it in the slot, or do I buy a ps2 card and format it for ps1 somehow? TELL ME WHAT TO BUY!!!!! GAAAAAAAH (I've never played FF7 and I love RPGs.... so you can see why I'm freaking out.)

I'm guessing at least half of the AOE screen shots come from opening cut scenes. Also keep in mind that the shots where taken on a computer that most people probably don't have.

I've been giving more thought to buying new. Has anyone heard anything one way or the other on the slim PS2?

I'm not sure I like the idea of the new Slim Ps2. So should I go used or refurbished? Anyone know any web sites with sweet deals on mem cards and controllers? I don't know how it is in Europe, but even used shit is expensive as crap in america.

I think I'm going to go with a PS2... now to find a good deal. I think I might go used, since I've heard rumors of slim PS2 meltdown. I want to roll stuff over cows, play some RPGs and kick some butt.

Also I read a story in Electronic Gaming monthly a while ago. It was about getting girls to play video games. It said the sims was a good choice because women like open ended things and are better at monotonus stuff then we men.

I like adventure games, rpgs, and that ilk. I also liked playing the Sims. I didn't buy it, but I liked it when I borrowed it from a friend. The Sims 2 interests me, but it's expensive. Of course, I also like to blow stuff up every now and then, but that gets old, and most shooters are plotless wonders.

What does PS2 have in the way of fun two player games? I know the 'Cube has Mario Cart, Smash Melee (I love being Kirby) and a few others that I can surely sucker my girl friend into playing. What does the PS2 have to offer?

Are there any good RPGs on the Cube? I like RPGs. My fav classic is Lunar 1 & 2 on Sega CD.

I heard that the new slim PS2 isn't made for extended play, and (due to the fact that they took out the fan) can over heat despite the fact that they shrunk down the chip size. Any truth to this?

I played it that way before, but someone told me that in SCUMM it doesn't work.... I haven't tried though, because I don't care.
