Really, the contest has only just begun. The 360 hasn't really had to compete with anyone in terms of titles because it was the only "next gen" console available. I'm trying to find a scheme that will allow me to own a Wii.

Having the most power does not mean that you will win. Sega Dreamcast.

I like characters more than puzzles, but the puzzles should still exist. Not like Dreamfall, which had a lot of character and a great story, but had so few puzzles that it didn't even feel like a game.

Once again I fail to understand Sony marketing. The 4th dimension thing is somewhat confusing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 4th dimension time? Is there a flux compassitor in it? Can I go back in time? It makes about as much sense to me as Bravia: The first television for men and women!

Turning off the internet stuff would turn off the "super late night surprise content" that was suggested by Nintendo. Of course, whether such content will ever exists is another matter all together.

Yeah... I don't know why you guys put up with getting screwed with so many releases. "OH YEAH EUROPE!? YOU THINK THIS GAME LOOKS COOL!? TOO BAD!!" "We've found that Europe doesn't mind waiting for things. They're downright jolly about it." Seriously... there should be some sort of uprising.

The game cube brick does work.. you just have to cut it down a bit... I read that somewhere. Possibly Wii Fanboy.com... I'd have to look though, and I've got to go to work.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/archives/a-cag-proves-wiimote-wrist-strap-is-useful.php#more Remember to use the wrist strap. Also, there have been some cases of the strap breaking... so buy a Nerf wiimote cover.

Is Red Steel really as bad as the reviews make it out to be?

Is there some sort of splitter I can get to allow the Wii to be on a Wifi router but my PCs be on a wired one?

We Americans get blamed for every verbal slip in the English language. Some of you across the pond are just as guilty. Read Eats Shoots & Leaves.

http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=7243 Please make the underlined part a quote of the moment... god this guys is dumb. It WOULD be unrealistic to expect a car to make my breakfast... unless the dealer freaking told me it could...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6146328.stm This is quite lovely. They delayed it. They dropped the shipment numbers. They still can't get the damn thing to work. Maybe Ctrl Alt Del was right and the CEO DOES have stock in Nintendo.

PS3 backwards compatibility glitch.
General Fuzzy McBitty replied to General Fuzzy McBitty's topic in Video Gaming
The bottom line for me is that Microsoft PLANNED the fact that some games wouldn't work. It was part of their design. Sony PLANNED to have everything work. It doesn't. If I'm paying $600+ I want the kind of quality that they've been pitching it (poorly) as. Also, if there are audio/video problems the game isn't working. It might be PLAYABLE... but it isn't working. -

I have faith in Nintendo. They don't have Sony's track record. -
PS3 backwards compatibility glitch.

Just chalk it up to the fact that the console has been a rush job. They're busting their asses for a release timed to not miss out on the busiest part of the year. Mistakes of a large magnitude are bound to happen. -

Except that a good number of the titles were the games that people want to play. -
Also, I don't think they're fully rendered. Look at the vast diff between his head and body? http://media.wii.ign.com/media/748/748589/img_4061133.html

So the argument is somewhat semantical then? The over all memory that can be devoted to graphics is far greater than 3... if I'm understanding?
-
Does anyone know if the texture memory thing is true? I tend to think that it's unlikely... but I know some people here have some actual experience with the unit. I find it difficult to believe that it is the case, but this looks like a troll that knows his technobabble. Screen shots here. http://media.wii.ign.com/media/748/748589/imgs_1.html

Golden Joystick Awards: Farcical list of "winners"
General Fuzzy McBitty replied to Spaff's topic in Video Gaming
I've always figured that any game that comes out on PSP that I actually want to play will eventually end up on the PS2. I've never had the urge to play any of my PS2 games while waundering around. -
Rock Star should get a restraining order.
