Rage is on sale, but people seem to have forgotten it so quickly, that I'm not sure it's worth it? Is it one of those games that everybody loved at day one, but forgotten about in a week or two? And even though it's only 15% off, I'm tempted to get Lucius, it was supposed to be an adventure game, but from I've heard... well, it's something more disturbing.

Frog Fractions: Learn all about fractions with this educational title?

You mean the underwater part? Was it a maze? I don't remember getting lost in it, but I think it's supposed to last as long as the audio? -
Groupees is having a Halloween charity bundle! I don't know why but I seem to be getting more Groupee bundle than the others, well, I guess I do know, when ever an IndieRoyale, IndieGala or Humble Bundle appears, I own almost every game in it already.

Home is indeed unique, the worst part is how do I explain it without spoiling it? It's a bit like Silent Hill in the way that what you do in the game can affect your ending, except here it's ALL about that, every little thing will change your perspective about the game, in a way that two different people can have completely different stories on what they think happened and on the hero's actions. When I beat the game it encouraged me to go to the site and share my thoughts on what happened, and when I checked the others, it's almost like we played a different game.... OK, maybe not that extreme, but their different perspective was quite interesting. I'll say what I loved about it the most as a spoiler, it's kinda minor.... maybe not even a spoiler in other's opinion, but.... It's just 2$ for this short and small experiment in games and I think quite a few will get a kick of it. Their game has a physical version, which is no longer available, I ordered it because it comes with a bunch of "feelies" likes the old IF games of yore.

Wow, I can't believe I managed to 100% this game, even the racing parts. I even enjoyed the ending except for the part when My only complaint is that by the time I had gotten good at the fighting parts, good enough to beat a martial arts club without getting bloody at all, all the final missions were gun based. Oh, and I'm also upset about the DLC, what's the point of getting a cool sword if you can't use it in any mission? Heck, I can't even use my car in most missions either. I'm so getting the Halloween DLC... But knowing Squenix, they might charge more than I payed for the game for it, since this is an actual mini expansion. :|

I'm saying that it gets more challenging if you don't find it interesting?

The Idle Thumbs Acheivements Leaderboard

How am I still number 4? I can't even remember the last time I turned on my 360... XP -
It's kinda standard at the beginning, but it gets almost Rayman Origins intense later, if that helps.

I beat the game yesterday and my only complaint is the star rating system, to play the final boss level in each world you need to gain enough stars, you can get three if you collect all the gems and 2 if you barely die. Obviously as you progress the game gets harder and your rating drops like crazy, but you still have to replay levels to get enough stars. The really big problem with it? You don't know how many stars you need to unlock the boss level and it's hard to tell how you're performing until you've already beaten the level. Oh, also, the final boss has such retro hardcore goggles it's ridiculous! The battle has three stages and you can only take one hit, two if you have a shield. Did I mention there is a homing attack you have to dodge while the floor is flooded with lava and fire balls falls from the sky? But it was a great battle, the face the dragon makes when he's about to shoot the homing attack? He has such a smug look because he knows you're screwed. XP

Swim down, this game is all about thinking out of the box. -

Did you unlock the dragon? If so, why not That's when the game really starts... I guess it is a bit hard to figure out. -
The more complex the game, the more patient I am with the "helping me" thing. I had to quit two games in a row because the tutorial was so minimal I had no knowledge or skills on how to deal with the game and died the moment the tutorial ended without knowing what I was doing wrong.

I've never played a game that scared me too much to play it, but if it's too disturbing I might quit, the only game I felt was too disturbing was the original Postal game. Does that count?

Unless you just spoiled the ending and he actually helps the cops in front of triad, they don't have to find out. Their excuse, a believable one, is that since Wei is willing to kill other gangsters he can't be a real cop, because a real cop wouldn't. I haven't reached the ending yet, but Wei looks pretty screwed, if the cops figure out the things he's done to gain the confidence of the triad? He's screwed! And I don't even have to mention what will happen if the triad find out he's a rat. As for the cop story missions, they always play out in a way that shouldn't implicate him, they don't know he can hack cameras from drug busts and most missions for the cops end up with him being stealthy or running away from the cops.

The game with be officially released in a few hours. HUZZAH!

Well, it says for ever 500 pounds donated, they'll donate 50 to a charity called Special Effect. It's no Humble Bundle, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't support them.

Man, I thought this was going to be a talk about "random humor" and expected to see people dump on "randomness". Oh well.... But to speak about the actual topic, if there is one kind of randomness in games I hate, it's random drops. It forces you to grind and "artificially lengthens" the game. That's one thing I like in "western" RPGs, you don't have to 200 goblins to get the snotroot of handsomeness, you just find it growing in a field. Of course, "western" RPGs have random drops sometimes, but since you can't grind in them, it doesn't matter and the randomization in these games is usually how much money they drop and if they have a potato you can eat or not.

Does anybody know if you have to complete the game to play the upcoming Halloween DLC? All I know is that it happens after a certain character dies, but I don't even think I met this person yet. Speaking of which, I really regret buying the DLC on sale, while I love the goofy retro triad getup, but the XP boost? It's too much! I'm sure I'm far from the ending and I'm already maxed out in nearly everything!

Remember that a few months ago there was an Adventure Game Studio Bake Sale for charity? Well, there is now a new AGS sale for charity called Summerbatch, I recognize some of the names of people who worked on these games, like Ben Chandler (Ben304), and with games having such names as Nancy the Happy Whore and PISS, it much be good? I haven't bought it yet myself, but I will before the sale ends.

Yeah, but it kinda sucks to know I won't be able to 100% it now, I've managed to complete all side missions, but I failed at the racing ones, maybe it can be done with better cars? Either way, I don't care. I won't let such a simple thing spoil how much I'm enjoying the city and the story.

I find it almost offensive that it's only 10 types of food. I guess I can blame this on the Yazuka games were even an ice cream shop have at least ten items in it. I'm really enjoying the narrative so far, I've never playing as an undercover cop before (maybe an undercover mission) and it's fascinating seeing how the pressure of his job is affecting him. I seem to be getting use to the combat, before when I had to clear a street of thugs I ran them over with a car, now I just confront them head on. And this game gets major bonus point for having missions that make collectibles appear on the map and having the ones you already picked up appear as taken. I might actually try to complete this game... Then again it does have a karaoke minigame and I'm pretty sure there is racing. I've never managed to outrun the cops, I just ram into them. so racing sounds dreadful.

I got this on sale and I'm loving it so far, but... am I the only one salivating seeing all the delicious Chinese food? Why does the game have to start in market and why does the "Boss" have a restaurant? I kinda wish the game had a larger variety of food, but it seems every store only sells one type of food? Is Dragon Kick the only soda there? It's kinda my own metagame, eat all the different type of foods, but if there is so little variety, it's not really a challenge.

I just completed the Unfinished Swan, it's no Journey or Flower, but it was like playing a fairy tale book... in which I all cared about was making a big mess with the paint system. It's pretty charming, you start in a completely white room with not even shadows and you can only see that in front of you with the black paint, as you advance there is some shadows until you reach a kingdom where you get water to make vines grow and then finally a light world and place where the paint balls create blocks. There are some minor physics puzzles and with the balloons and "toys" it seems that this is really a fairy tales that kids would love and adults would enjoy too.

Wait, is it me or is this the first Kickstarter that funds a game, but you don't you get the game for backing it? Either way, yes, this does look pretty damn interesting.
