I guess I've been spoiled by the Walking Dead, there was always a choice and when something terrible happened I was OK because at least I tried to do the right thing, or what I thought was right.
-
I got this on the sale and I just reached
-
From Dust seems to be on sale, but I heard it's a terrible port with terrible DRM?
-
Frankly, I think I most mainstream comics tend to be pandering in a creepy way, they just have different skin tight costumes.
-
I beat the game back when it came out on PSN and I don't remember this guy at all, but I only remember how much I hated the combat and the "tension" music.

I'm pretty sure ComiXology is 99% American comics and only 1% of my collection is superhero related, which is probably because I don't usually buy Marvel or DC. If there one thing I've discovered with comics, is that if you get tempted to buy a bad comic due to sale, it will always be better than a bad game, mostly because it will over much sooner. It's strange getting used to American comics, I'm not used to seeing a series change artists or writers so much, but like I said about their sale, when I take a risk, I either get something good like Madame MIrage, something cheesy as hell like Jurassic Strike Force 5 or something Troll2-tastic. Speaking of which, I don't care what people will think of me, I really want to read that Tarot comic I keep hearing about, it sounds so dumb I must read it!

My problem is that I can't survive enough to unlock a better ship and since the initial ship has no cloaking, teleporting or drones I always mess up saving scrap, if I have enough scrap to buy one of them the store is selling something else and when they do I just spent all my scrap on upgrades. I haven't played more than few hours, so I'm still learning thing, I'm still learning the difference between each weapon and I almost made it to sector 5, but I only had one man left and couldn't handle the ship that attacked me. :|
-
I guess prioritizing the weapons make sense, but won't it be easier if you take the shields down first? But yeah, once the weapons are down I guess you are safer?
-
I'm kinda scared to look at the guide, if I see a huge guide, it will scare me away from the game, which is already pretty scary. I'd rather come here and have people laugh at my poor management skills and give me a hint or two. If I get to area 5 will I finally get a ship that already has a drone system? It's just so expensive for me. So far my strategy is to fight for scrap metal, accept surrenders, aim for cloaking devices or shields first, then weapons. I try to go in a straight line to the exit. If possible, I put out fires and kill enemies by opening airlocks.
-
My people seem to suck at fighting, do you need other species or something for that?

I got this game in the Steam sale and... Woah, this game is insane! I'm obviously playing on Easy since I don't know what I'm doing yet but I'm still terrible. I know it's a rogue, but still... I felt confident when I could finally upgrade my ship... Only to die because I didn't know enemies could just teleport in. I upgraded doors once to learn something else, and so on and so on. But it still doesn't feel right, I managed to get three lasers and a level 2 shield and I still can't even reach sector five on Easy? Come on! Am I just unlucky or does each sector just get this crazy? I feel like I should "grind" but I'm on a timer on so many levels and ever battle might be my last. How do I even get a new ship or recruits?

I just got Knytt Underground from my PSN+ account and... I know many of us here love Nifflas games, but I LOATHE this one. I don't even know where to start. The game has three chapters, one is like Knytt, the second is more or less NightSky and the third is more or less both? As the human you can jump and climb, you can use glowy lights as temporary one use power ups, the white ones are for attacking enemies, the blue dash sideways, the yellow dash upwards and the green make you a ball of light that can fly for a few seconds. The ball bounces... and it has some magnetic powers, that's about it. The game has minor things that wouldn't bug me, but when you combine them together... it's like a fecal smoothie, it looks like something you might want but it isn't. -The first flaw is the now way too overused by indie "artsy-fartsy" games... Nearly everything is black, I don't care want deep message the blackness entails, but even Closure which was 98% black was prettier than this... Yuck! And this is from a guy who enjoys ZZT! -@#$%'n fetch quests: Wow, this guy is insane, how did it think so many fetch quests would be fun? And there is much fluff, I don't care about spoiling this, but in one fetch quest you have to find an item to open a door, after going through the whole map, you can't find and return the door, only to find it open already and only to go search for the key again and only to not find it again and only to find.... that you had the key with you the whole time, the idiot fairy forgot he had another pocket... [Anger level: AVGN+Spoony+Grumps*infintiy] In the third chapter it's just ridiculous, you need to boring fetch side quests as part as the main fetch quest. Collect three thingies to get one of the six thingies you need to get the thing of which you need another six to beat the game. You need almost as many items as in La-Mulana except none of them are used for anything except trading in for another item. -The world is ridiculously huge and confusing... The game has teleporters, but you can only use them a limited number of times and you can fail while using them, wasting a teleportation crystal. -No upgrades: I know this might seem stupid, but after playing for hours and hours and barely making any progress, the most minor upgrade would at least make the game less boring. I just can't stand this game anymore, the map is bigger than Symphony of the Night, but that is it's main detriment. I can swallow a 40 minute game with no "gimmick" or "upgrade", but this map is just too big and full of nothing interesting between slightly less boring points. I can't think of anything good to say of this game, just go re-play Knytt and avoid this at all costs. Or at least get in the next indie bundle... Nifflas, I love your games, but this?

The only skills I know of racing is "don't crash too much" and "drift at curves", so I'm baffled when I play a racing game, I don't crash, drift when I can and still end up last. But I think I'll give it a go anyway, hopefully I'll be skilled enough to at least see the the cooler parts of the games. EDIT: Am I the only person who never played a Tony Hawk game? Would the HD one be a good idea for start-off point? It's probably a bad idea since I failed so miserably at Jet Set Radio yesterday. :|
-
Damn, I was right by thinking they'd add more game, but they added even more game I already have! XP Driver San Francisco is on sale, would you recommend it to someone who tend to suck at racing game? I've only ever beaten Sonic All Star Racing and Burnout Paradise. :| I'm also tempted to get the Worms Complete Pack even though most Worms game tend to suck.
-
Sounds like a fun game I'd buy if it came out on GOG... only to get mad at it because I'm rubbish at it. I just like summoning things. :3
-
I only log in to check in on deal when I'm away, but maybe your push notifications are off? I didn't like I Am Alive that much, I really hated the combat.
-
Damn, I'm very disappointed the generic MMO won over the two more original games, I really wanted Miasmata or Waking Mars. :|
-
I don't know, Monkey Island won the last round, and it had tough competition, I did not expect it to win at all.
-
Without emulating old school difficulty? They made some of the hardest games I know!
-
NNNGHH! Right now you can vote for Miasmata and Making Mars to be the next deal... I guess Miasmata since it's most expensive of the two?
-
Yeah, the general rule is to wait unless the price drop is 66% or lower. If a game has dropped to 50% off, it might drop to 66%,75% or even 80% off, but I don't think I've ever seen a game on sale below 60% go even lower... that is unless you wait for the next sale.

Oh, come on! That joke Ragna-rocked!

Edna & Harvey is all about insanity, so the cartoon logic is up to 11 and I really love it's story. I haven't played the other's yet since they are pretty new, A New Beginning just came out a week ago I think. But hey, don't worry about it, it's not like it's the end of the world if you miss one sale, right? (Yes, I'll be making Apocalypse jokes like there is no tomorrow).
-
Yes, Far Cry 2 is perfect for learning survival skills in a post-apocalyptic world. Steam has a Daedalic Bundle with all their games, except the Whispered World. It has both Deponia games in it, which are excellent. And since they are set in some short of post-apocalyptic junk world, they will be perfect training for the end times! Learn to survive by combining items together!

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

You're talking about the 25th Anniversary fan game? Yeah, I guess it doesn't look like it will be ready in time. They could have just made an anniversary compilation.
