  1. Games giveaway

Hmm, is there a way to know if a Steam code has been used or not? If I try one I already have can I add to my inventory or not? I'm pretty sure I have a ton for games from the indie bundles I have... And DOTA 2 Steam Gifts, I swear they are the Tribbles of Steam! D: (PS: Would it be a faux pas if I find a game valuable enough to ask for a trade? I think I might get TWO Steam codes from La Mulana when it comes out.)
  2. General Video Game Deals Thread

I wonder if you pre-order it somewhere else but you still get a Steam code... would take still mean you get the pre-order goodies? Because I might actually do it if they reach the pre-order level for X-Com and I'm sure I can get it cheaper at GMG.
  3. What? I just played with the Monk and I didn't work? Maybe I wasn't close enough? Damn! I should have tried again! I finally did a second playthough with the Monk, Time Traveler and Knight and I can't see why people were complaining about the Time Traveler's level, it was easiest level I've played! The best part was traveling through time and seeing skeletons of your companions that you left in the past! XD Oh, I also love how the museum gets things wrong and how the description of items changes as you mess with the timeline! I don't think I'll try to get both endings for all characters, but I'll have to play with the Hillbilly eventually... I guess I'll bring the Monk to skip the Zoo and I don't really know who else... By the way, the Monk's Lotus Puzzle was the hardest for me, specially since I didn't know the game had a walk button and that you just had to press the button to use his power, the mouse pointer does have to be on the item you need... Frankly, it's the only time you need to walk in the whole game so I can see not knowing about this, but I still feel dumb. I also remembered to take screenshots of the voice actors, apparently the voice of Clank is most of the characters in the Hillbilly level and the voice and Daphne was the Princess and the Hunter!
  4. The Swedish Apocalypse (Krater)

I think I finally and officially quit this game, all you do is enter caves with either boars, bears, wolves or some sort of vermin or thugs with spears or guns to get a thing and then enter a cave that looks the same and you get another thing and do it ad nauseum. I guess the reason I kept playing is because looks nice and the world looks interesting, but it's like taking a bite into a Kinder Egg and finding no toy inside.... I have no idea if that made any sense.
  5. PL4YST4TION 4

Hmm, I wonder how the PS4 will screw over the PSN+ subscribers? We are getting free games that will be incompatible with the newer system, and who knows, they might just scrap the whole thing? Put I think they might integrate PSN+ with the streaming game service? But it just hit me how bad the whole no backwards compatibility sounds, on the PS3 you can play PSOne, PS2 (We just got those, dammit!), PCEngine, PSN, minis and PS3 games... all of those will be unplayable on PS4? Then again, maybe that's the reason they won't do it, it is just too much to integrate?
  6. (IGN.com)

Damn, I really liked Retronauts, it was the best and almost only good retro game podcast out there. The only one I have now has the hosts... commenting on YouTube clips of old games or checking Wikipedia while recording because they usually haven't even heard of the game they are talking about. :| Is it confirmed that the podcasts will disappear?
  7. Mass Effect 3

I think it's free for maybe two months? Maybe more? You get to keep it while you are PSN+ and you get it back when you return to the service. It's ridiculous the amount of good games I've gotten from it, but I must admit I'm surprised about getting Mass Effect 3, speaking of which, do people with the console version need to create an Origin account anyway?
  8. Mass Effect 3

I just found out PSN+ users will get ME3 for free, which is great since I don't have to download an Origin client for my PC, but at the same time I don't want to play ME3 without my character from ME2, but I'd have to play ME1 & 2 all over again... Damn, it's lose-lose either way. :|
  9. PL4YST4TION 4

300€ sounds too cheap for all the thing they claim it can do, but I doubt it be as expensive as the PS3 was originally.
  10. PL4YST4TION 4

I had to go to bed after two hours.... did they say anything about the Vita apart from it being like the WiiU tablet?
  11. PL4YST4TION 4

Gametrailers is working fine. SHARE BUTTON CONFIRMED?! D:
  12. PL4YST4TION 4

You doubt it? Damn... I'm at the point we're I'll feel bad if I go to be since it's starting in 15 minutes, but I don't want to stay up until 2 AM! Maybe I'll just watch a little and see what happens?
  13. PL4YST4TION 4

How long is it? I might stay up since it's already late... even though I have to wake up in 5 and a half hours... :|
  14. PL4YST4TION 4

I'd love to see it, but I live in Europe and have to wake up early...
  15. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

So now we have to campaign for the first game all over again? XP But, come to think of it, why did they just get SS2 on GOG and not SS1? Does someone else have the rights for the first one?
  16. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

Frankly, it looks good enough with the mods I used, but what engine would they use? The Bioschock one isn't for public use, right?
  17. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

The real scariest moment of System Shock 2 is when I got a message from Shodan tweeting at me... I know it's probably someone hired by GOG or something like that... but I chill ran down my spine. This is probably the only game to scare me, many games make feel "uncomfortable" or tense, but this one? Shodan bloody scares me... What really saddens me is that I doubt there would be a SS3, modern games treat us like idiot and can't be subtle... SS3 would be like Dead Space and vomit gore at our face instead of making us see the slow process of what happened. Oh, and Shodan would swear like a "Mofo"... I really have to say how impressed I am by this game, I usually don't enjoy games from this era that aren't adventure games, but this is the one PC game from the 90's you should play.
  18. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

I had this wonderful moment when I was going up a lift and a "Big Daddy Bot" greeted me with the love of hot lasers. I knew it wouldn't help, but I hit the lean left button and... I dodged the laser shot? And since I had the special ammo that does more damage to bots, he went down pretty quick... it hilarious, at least to me. I had a scary moment when I saw a . I don't know why but this game seem scarier because when ever I see a corpse or message it seems to add to the atmosphere of the horror of what happened here, you don't see people gore for the sake of gore, you see them and I can imagine their fate in a more effective way than most modern games. I think it does better even than BioShock, I know the Adam turned them into monsters, but here you see people who resisted or people who... gave up and committed suicide. I don't remember that happening in BioShock. I also like that you only find out about the origin of Midwife bots through a audiolog, the game doesn't spoon feed you the story and doesn't treat you like an idiot, when you enter a room and see a corpse, you can figure out the morbid details yourself. I'm pretty sure a modern game would have to mention that the character was killed in it's sleep, committed suicide or what ever happened to them.
  19. Aliens: Colonial Marines

You know, the WayForward was the last Aliens game I played since the Mega Drive one... maybe I should keep it that way from what it seems. I really hope we find out the truth eventually, I'm pretty sure the story of how the game was made is more interesting than the game itself.
  20. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

I feel stupid for not knowing this by now, but do psi-powers work on anything mechanical? I can't use them to blow up cameras at least. I keep thinking like Bioshock and thinking I can hack them, instead of hacking the camera central which is what you have to do.
  21. Surgeon Simulator 2013

OH, GOD! That final gif.... So perfect! XD
  22. Yeah, it might have been mentioned before but at the beginning the beast isn't as aggressive... That will change soon enough! XP
  23. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

The most bizarre part of playing this for the first time is that I have to keep remembering myself that this Bioshock is the spiritual sequel, I say to myself "Oh look, that must be the Big Daddy of the the game!" and when And yes, I'm using spoilers for an old game... I am aware I'm not the only one playing it for the first time.
  24. Why can't I enjoy System Shock 2?

You know, this game is what Dead Space wishes it was... Sure, you laugh at the psychic monkeys the first time you see them, but the game is so brutal that even on the easiest setting the game is ridiculously intense! Although it's "intensity" is getting on my nerves... :| The U buttons is a god send, before I looked for logs manually! XP
