  1. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Woah, I the store was upgraded again and it was selling K.K. records! Is this a daily deal? Awesome! I've heard that Gracie won't appear until you're ready for the final store upgrade, but I really wish Phineas would just mail me the badges, I'm pretty sure he's the reason I never get other visitors. At least eventually he won't show up again?
  2. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I think it might have to do with the villager's AI , the villager can and will comment on what you build, so maybe they'd go gaga if you put two items next to each other?
  3. XCOM Enemy Unknown

Hmm, I got for free on PSN+, but couldn't get into it, yet because of the bloody Steam Sale I bought it again and while it's too early to say I actually like this game, I'm liking it for now? Well, I liked it enough to dream of Mr. T and Rufio fighting the XCOM aliens. Mr. T was captured by the aliens and Rufio snuck in and rescued him from what dream throught the Thinmen looked like. And then Mr. T wrecked everything with a bazooka. Man, right before going to bed I had some new missions, but one of the missions is with a country at level 3 panic and it's classified as very difficult. I will lose this country if I don't take the job right? PS: I'm totally making my bazooka guy look more like Mr. T if I can.
  4. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

What is TIY? The upgraded version of the market? I'm also jealous that every other village has "special" villagers, like the mummy car or the rhino that looks like a cake. I guess Static, the squirrel with a lighting mark is mine? I spent an out diving for scallops and I didn't get a single one, I did get two abalones though, which was nice?
  5. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Argh, I've played the game for probably a month and there are still special villagers I've never met. I've yet to meet Gracie and I've only seen Gulliver and Katrina once. Do they really appear randomly or what? I need to meet Gracie and pass her test four times for the final store upgrade! D:
  6. Steam Trading Card

Wow, it looks like I got my first "drop" after the cards are depleted and... it was two cards I already have and a foil? Huzzah!? I also finally got a discount coupon, they expire in ONE WEEK! Geez, that's harsh. And wouldn't you know it? The discount are ONLY for games with MORE Steam Trading cards. I have 50% off Triple Towns, 66% off Awesomenauts and 50% off Sniper Elite Zombie edition thingie. I bet they were cheaper during the summer sale and I don't really know much about them except Awesomenauts is multiplayer only?
  7. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

The difficulty setting affect only the "musical" parts, since the spells are tunes, so it depends on you musical abilities? I play on Easy since I'm practically tone deaf. I think hard mode give you the tune and you have to figure out the notes by yourself?

Yeah, that's about as fast as I went. I just beat the Cat Lady, I heard so many great things about this game how it was a masterpiece of how to make a truly mature game, and while it does deal with an issue that is sensitive, it's so forced and badly written that the game became almost painful before becoming hilarious. Yes, half the game is talking about suicide, mental illness and depression, but everything else is handled so poorly I can't help but to laugh. I'm more of an anxiety guy, but I know a few people with depression and this seemed more "emo" than anything. The worst is the other half of the game, which tries to be Silent Hill, but feels like a hilarious creepy pasta, the heavy metal that plays during the gory scenes don't help much either. And since it's an adventure game, it has the "Obligatory Lucasarts Reference", which is the biggest one I've seen so far, , and they also have the characters from the creator's first game play a minor role in the game. The dialogue is mostly "FEEEEELINGS!" that go on for too long and seem so forced and you'll think I'm horrible but I nearly died laughing when I'm going to have find a new name for a new category of games, the "Mind Bloorp" (I probably need , which is when I game tries to blow you mind so hard, but the great reveal just makes the whole story makes no sense. In this case the main character And the bad guys are ridiculous too, I would say the "FEELINGS!" parts would have been better off in a different game without the goofy gore parts, but they are both equally goofy to me.
  9. Tomb Raider

If this game had Uncharted writers, Lara would wise crack after every kill, which would ruin the game for me. :|
  10. Steam Trading Card

Yes, I get what you mean, but before that the people who have the game will eventually play it which will mean there will be more cards and the price should drop at least a little? Unless the sales were dismal, it's safe to assume the cards will become less rare before completely disappearing.
  11. Steam Trading Card

Shouldn't the prices drop as more people have them? It's only with games The Night of the Rabbit, which nobody seems to own where the prices seem to be rising. It's ridiculous, I'm pretty sure if you got the game on sale or a bundle, the money you made selling these cards would be more than the game itself! Speaking of playing the games for cards, it really sucks when it's a game you've just completed and have nothing to do with but leave open.
  12. Steam Trading Card

I was going to say I'm baffled at a movie having cheesmints, but... there are services like GetGlue and others that get you achievements for watching TV and movies. But still, it's hilarious that it has DLC, you what would be MORE hilarious, if you had to watch the movie more than once to get all the card drops!
  13. Steam Trading Card

Indie Game The Movie now has Steam trading cards.... I don't... I just don't...

I finally played Nights into Dreams, I was a bit wary after hating the Wii one, but this game was pretty fun, you could tell it was a Sonic Team game, the levels had Sonic-y names and they even looked like what I expected a Sonic game to look on a Saturn. The game structure is similar too, a few short acts and a boss, except this game is actually faster than most Sonic games I've played. Also, Christmas Nights is officially my favorite Xmas themed game... EVER!
  15. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

I don't know if we should start a new thread about the silly card thing, but I started running games with cards in the background to get some drops and I noticed two things: -If nobody plays the game, the cards seem to be more expensive? The Night of the Rabbit cards are 50 cents each! -It's ridiculous the amount of games that are getting cards. Each days I see a new handful of games with cards to get. I wonder if getting them on day one makes them more valuable? I could get drops for a game I don't care about and find out.
  16. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I did hit the power button instead of Start once too... It sucked. I also sold my Zelda boots by mistake. Dang!

I've been playing a few of the games I got from the Steam Sale: -No Time To Explain: It's a hilarious physics game where you move around with a ridiculously overpowered gun, it's full of silliness like a sharktopus and a level making fun of art games... the bad ones that is. -Papo y Yo: An indie game that I'm not sure if it's trying to subtle about it's message or not. in case it isn't obvious, you a kid with The gameplay was OK enough, but it's nothing you'll regret missing. -Deadpool: Well, it's exactly like you'd expect a Deadpool game to be, if you like Deadpool, you'll like the game, it's stupid in the same way Deadpool is, which is the awesome way.
  18. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

I got: Papo & Yo No Time to Explain Don't Starve The Swapper Dark Souls X-Com Penny Arcade yadda yadda 4 Afterfall Insanity Deadpool Bioshock Infinite And a couple of the games in the "Oh, I have or had this on Xbox, but I hate my Xbox, and it's less than 3€, so why not buy it again so I'll never have to turn my Xbox on again?" category.
  19. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

Well, since it's out on sale again, I assume he got his rights back, right?
  20. Recently completed video games

Yeah Guacamelee is a great game, they've improved so much since the Mutant Blob games... they still do too many meme jokes. :|
  21. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

Really? So it was just a coincidence that I got mine when it maxed out? That's a shame.
  22. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

Wow, cards are pretty worthless now, but it's so much more convenient to sell duplicates and buy what you are missing. Steam is kinda like an evil genius. Since cards are so cheap, about 10 cents, and I've bought all in my wishlist that was 75% off, I took a gamble and bought enough to MAX out the badge, guess what happens? FOIL cards! Those are worth 1€ each! I can see their evil genius plan now, if you max out your badge early, I assume you'll get only foils after that and you can actually fund games at that level! This is kinda scary now. D:
  23. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

Oh man, I had completely forgotten about the Tokyopop thing, they died without warning and screwed over a lot of artist, right?
  24. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

Oh, I just got one of the winner is a recent Comixology sale, I guess they were on sale because he was nominated? Either way, King City was pretty rad, it has cats with super powers, nuff said!
  25. BioShock Infinite

Jesus, the reality is even worse that I expected... So does that mean it was more classist than xenophobic?
