I stayed up late last night and finally caught the tarantula and scorpion! HUZZAH! It seems like the all spawned near the same area and as the closer it got to 1AM the less rare they were!:3

Since I was away for a trip I stockpiled a bunch of PSP, PSOne, Vita and 3DS games for it and here a brief summary of the games I beat while I was away. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale: Say what you want, but I had a blast beating story mode with Ratchet, I have no idea who the final boss is supposed to be though... Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom: I had no idea it had this many characters and I had forgotten how awesome these kind of game can be... even if the final boss is broken, like always. 40 Winks: It's a collectathon like Banjo-Kazooie that I had never heard of before and it's pretty decent. Instead of gaining new powers you find boxes that grant you powers for a short period of time. The most interesting thing about this game is the cutscenes, the ones with the main characters look... OK? But the ones with the main villain and his side-kick look almost Pixar good. It's very strange, but I assume different people worked on each one. Y''s Seven: What the...?! Since when is Y's about having a party? I didn't like the party system in this entry, but it's still a pretty good JRPG, a JRPG that was shorter than any "AAA" game I've played recently, which really has to make you think about game's length nowadays. Superfrog HD: What? I had nostalgia for the Amiga game, OK? Frankly, it's a pretty lazy remake, the intro is still images while I remember the original being an animation, the fact that you can continue does make it less frustrating. TOMBA!: It's still as amazing as I remember, but also easier than I remember? I had way too many lives near the end and catching the pigs was relatively painless. Earth Defense Force Portable: Better than the original for the simple fact of having an extra character with a jetpack that makes moving through the map much quicker and her weapons are so hilariously sci-fi it's great, the only downside is that you have to beat the game normally to get her. Epic Mickey 2: I never played the original game, so I only know that the co-op option is new, while I loved the visuals and I had a trip down nostalgia lane fighting evil Herbie bots and things from rides that probably no longer exist.... the AI partner is probably the worst I've even seen. Oswald seems to get stuck because his path detection thinks I "thinned" the item he's trying to walk through, when you reach a dreaded "you both must do something at the same time" it's like herding kittens. I also didn't think the "moral choice" system worked well in this game, it seems you can be the savior or destroyer of the land, but I can never tell when or why some actions are "wrong", it's usually the more destructive path the wrong one, but sometimes it's not clear or doesn't make sense. I was locked out of the final store with it's upgrades because it insists that the pearl I found was stolen from them.. What? Unless I missed something I have no idea what he's talking about.

I'm pretty sure there are games that depend on impulse buys, I've also seen the same complaint on Proteus and all the more narrative games mentioned before and I'm pretty sure Hate Plus will get the same hate.
-
You mean the same manchildren who would scream anyway if they game was just like a "normal" one? I've always said that a difference between a nerd or fan and a fanboy is that only one is capable of rational thought on a regular basis. In this case we have the kiddies who have to jump onto the "pretentious" bandwagon, the kiddies who don't read descriptions and thought this was a horror game and feel scammed, and the "money equals time, so the more expensive the game is, the longer it has to be" group. Just ignore them, they are probably too busy complaining about everything to do anything else. *shrugs* And to make an actual legitimate very minor complaint / bug, has anybody had items "ghost" through furniture? I threw a pencil at a table and it "fell" through, the same happened when throwing a toothbrush at the wash basin.

Never mind, today I finally got my golden watering can, HUZZAH! Now my only concern is catching a tarantula before the month ends since it seems I won't be able to catch them after this month. I spent from 10pm to 11:30 trying to catch one, but I never saw one, I did catch the house centipede which I didn't have yet. I've heard various way to catch them, like staying in an open area and continuously saving and continuing to re-spawn the bugs in that area or entering and exiting the train station, using headphones... Nothing worked. :|

Man, am I glad I purchased Code of Princess, it's a pretty cool brawler that I think is inspired by Princess Crown? Even when I beat it I played a bit with it and saw all the silly but fun extra characters like the villagers you rescue. I loved playing at the zombie girl, her spells are great at keeping the enemies at bay with the long range attack and turning enemies to stone! Gah, now I have to wait until Dragon Crown comes out in Europe later this month to get more brawler action! XP

Geez, I'm glad I beat the game yesterday, you can't even browse any forum with some irate jerk yelling spoilers in the title of their angry post complaining this is a rip-off and not a game. I assume these are all people who bought the game expecting Slenderman to pop up and scare them, oddly enough these "scary" games they expected Gone Home to be are so non-interactive that I don't see why they think is not a game. It's like a visual novel that's actually more visual than novel. I'll say it again, gamers have been brainwashed to think length is more important than it should, if it's less than 10$, it better be at least 4 hours long, it's 20$, it's better be eight to 10 hours long and so on and so on...
-
That guy on YouTube that screams a lot while playing "scary" games?
-
Well, it looks like I'm late to the game since everything I had to say about the game has already been said... except... I'm stuck. Which is pretty embarrassing. I really don't know where to go now... :| EDIT: Oops, it looks like I missed a room, now I'm REALLY embarrassed! EDIT EDIT: Now that I've actually beaten it, I have to say, I love how almost perfect 90's this game feels, except some illustrations that feel a bit off like the SNES covers. I also couldn't help but to giggle each time I found the "hidden" porn and at the couch fort, isn't Sam a little old for that? I have to know, does anybody know if Pewdipie played the game?

Yeah, but I have to talk to her 15 days in a row, right? If the office closes for Sundays this month, doesn't that mean I won't be able to get it? That would explain why I don't have it yet. :|
-
I've been away for a few weeks so I couldn't do anything online, it seems I have a perfect town, but I don't think I can get the golden watering can this month, since the mayor's office closes every Sunday for the fireworks display.... :|
-
Well, I tested a video on Crunchy on a whim and... Sharks make everything better... or so terrible it's the best thing ever, which is also good. Is this the guy who did the art fro Motor Toon Gran Prix and Maximo? Guys, I'm totally OK with them being forced to buy shows in packages if this is the "quality" stuff they get stuck with.

I have no idea, by I do know that the piracy in my country is ridiculous and I don't really see that many anime DVDs or on TV. What happened with Bandai? It's kinda strange, the shows I can watch, apart from Naruto and a few others, are show I've never heard of and I can't image my country would rather get a license of them instead of something like the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
-
Wow, the only show available from that list I have available is Squid Girl, which I've already seen. I think I posted my thoughts on the sequel to Gurren Lagann and I saw Fist of the North Star back in the day. Geez, I guess it's much better in other countries, and yet it's still better than our equivalent of Netflix. :|
-
Damn, only the first show in that list is available in my region. Oh well, it's better than nothing.
-
Hmm, I will be away for almost three weeks, and if there is anything left I can always watch it later?
-
Since I'm leaving for a trip for a few weeks, and I'll have a 3G USB modem, I decided to give the Crunchyroll two week trial a go. Does anybody have any good light hearted or more comedic shows to suggest? The one about Japanese folklore seems cute?
-
Great, they release the game right before I leave on a trip and won't have access to my PC for weeks. Oh well, since I won't have a PC, I won't get spoiled too much?

I tried reading some more books I got from video game related bundle and I tried to read a book about the creation of the Magnavox, but... Wow, it was so ridiculously technical, it was full of diagrams, legal documents and similar stuff that made the book way too boring for me. I then tried to read "Pheonix: The Rise and Fall of video games", which was more about video game consoles than games and kinda bad? It was way too Atari focused, but a mess too? They mention every US game related items, down to the most obscure peripheral, and yet they barely mention any of the games, sure they might talk about the Tetris debacle, but nothing about the game itself. It seemed it would rather talk about the most obscure and boring peripheral than talk about an actual game and they even seem reluctant to talk about non-Atari consoles, which is weird since it covers everything up to the Dreamcast. Not to mention it never mentions Europe or Japan at all.

I quit The Templar Chronicles which i got in an "eBundle", it felt like I was reading a novelization of a AAA horror shooter like F.E.A.R. and some other book in the same vein, I just had to quit when the horrible female protagonist met a werewolf who said she had amnesia and that he was her lover.
-
I was browsing the 3DS store and it seems Code of Princess was released in Europe digitally only, which makes me pretty happy. I'm almost tempted to get the Harvest Moon game, but playing that in tandem with Animal Crossing seems... unwise?

Jesus, I hope those people just have money to spare and aren't, well.... addicted, I put some money in my wallet and it still hasn't run out, but I don't even buy cards every day. Specially since I keep getting coupons for games I don't want. Hmm, come to think of these, these crazy people must not only be buying a ton of cards, they must be buying a game JUST for the cards AND the foils.
-
Hmm, so there is chance of getting a drop when crafting and a chance of getting one at random at any time once you have no drops left? I just checked one of the coupons and the game it's for is already on sale.. the coupon expires before the sale ends, so the coupon is useless. Someone messed up I guess?
-
Do you mean they are only dropped when you craft the badge? The one I got was from a set that I didn't have any badge for yet. Speaking of crafting, has anybody gotten a relatively decent coupon from crafting? The best one I got so far was Awesomenauts, the rest seemed to be games nobody had heard of or cared about. Hmm, I wonder if this is done on purpose? If the game is unknown the card might have more value and people might buy it in hopes of making a profit... or just not to waste a coupon.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I finally tried to play Mass Effect 3 and... I'm not sure I can't be bothered, the combat feels clunky and I've been spoiled most of the game by now and what hasn't seems pretty obvious or it's pretty obvious when the game is trying to pull my emotional strings. I used to care about Liara, but when I saw her again... I didn't really care. I guess I waited too long to play the game and now it's too late? Should I bother and give it another chance? :|
