Well, is anybody against having a horror comic as the first pick? As for genres then it would be: -Superhero -Comedy -Crime -Drama -Young Adult -Action -Horror -"Life" comics (Drama-comedy light?) -Autobiographies -Children's comics Am I forgetting anything? Since we are going by genre, mangas have the same genres, so I don't think they should get their own section? Or should they? (PS: We are so reading Sailor Moon when the new show is aired!)

I guess we should try to make sure we have all the options before making the poll? -Marvel -DC -Dark Horse -Shonen -Shoujo -European -Small Press (Phantagraphics, etc) -Ashcans (I think that's the name) -EC Horror comic style comics (Tales from the Crypt) This one sounds like a good start point seeing the time of the year it is. Hmm, I kinda like this idea... Does anybody like the idea of picking a comic from before the dreaded Comic Code started? Or at least something more horror themed, like Lenore, Vampirella, or something like that?

Maybe we should figure out which kind of comic we like to read or wouldn't mind reading? Maybe a poll as in which kind of comic do you like to read? But do we support multi-option polls? -European comics -Marvel -DC -Dark Horse -Golden Age/Silver Age -Shonen -Shojo -Etc, etc

The only superhero comics I've read are the digital Dark Horse ones, because they are the only ones that sell omnibuses, I've yet to see any DC sale on Comixology (maybe I should go to a digital DC store) and the Marvel ones that go on sale are only single issues.... I also have... a weird taste in comics... But I do like the idea of a comic book club! :3

We had an Earthworm Jim KS, it was called Armikrog, we also had that horrible HD remake made by a mobile game company.

What could possibly go wrong with a Bubsy Kickstarter? But nah, he got three games and a , which is more than any mediocre mascot deserves. Since this is has turned into a mascot thread what you do you guys think about Cool Spot? I remember them being pretty solid?

It also seems to be 50% off at Steam! Is the commentary in the Steam version too?

You have to do some stupid thing to catch them now, I think you lead them somewhere special? That cave in the north I think. But catching MewTwo was enough for me, I refuse to chase after these guys again. I just turn the game on to pet Pokémon I haven't petted yet and that's about it.

How so? In the "We don't need women, but we do, but we don't like them, but we do and the main character is trying so hard to not be a Mary Sue. Magic hijinx and puns ensue" sense?

I only discovered Xanth very late when I searched for adventure games and played Companions of Xanth, when I finally got the first book earlier this year, it did make me feel uncomfortable, but since a girl I knew from social networks well enough defended the books, I bought the next two. I can't wait to read the third, since everybody has kids I bet it's going to be about motherhood and his own views on how mothers should behave. I also just realized how dumb the ending of the second book is:

Ugh, now I don't think I can even stomach the first book anymore... I had forgotten about a few things, probably because I didn't want to. :-(

I just finished the second Xanth novel, Source of Magic and.. it kinda dragged in the middle and Piers Anthony is starting to seem more misogynistic that I thought and more than I'm comfortable with even though it's a book from the 70's. Here's a quote from the book: "What was the gorgon except the literal personification of the promise and threat embodied in every woman". It seems that to him, girls can be either dumb, pretty, evil or just annoying and nagging, if he's feeling generous he'll make a female character that's pretty and evil, but that's about it... :| The whole quest starts because the men of the first book want to get away from their "nagging" ladies. I already bought the next book, so I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Yep, the fact that so little people knew it existed, including me before buying it, proves how "amazing" this game is. It's just like the old NES you used to love... broken, like the memories of how "good" games used to be.

I guess I'm quitting Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, it was getting a bit tedious before, and I was getting close, but... the boss I reached is just broken. I'm playing on casual and the boss is way too demanding for a game where you can't really heal. He's really hard to dodge and really hard to hit, it's one of those "dodge perfectly or die for a minute and then you can take a tiny notch of my life bar" bosses. Why does the game keep giving me bazookas and such when the bosses can only take a small percentage of damage before restarting their bloody pattern? I'm better off with the pistol. It's rather weird to finally quit a game because it's actually too hard/broken, but I'm not going to put up with such an annoying boss, it's like a Mega Man boss on steroids. Which is probably why it's annoying so much, it feel like a boss from a different game, one the game hasn't prepared me for and I shouldn't be able to fight, but at least it's not a bullet hell boss? Either way, I'm quitting, it's just not worth it. :|

A musical adventure game? I don't mind the style or anything, but it looks so.... "low res"? I guess it would be murder for the creators if the animations where in a higher resolution? It's a good thing it's cheap, but with the final Deponia and the latest Telltale game on my wishlist, I'd rather wait a while for this. Which guarantees it won't be in any indie bundles... until the exact moment I buy it!

Well, I don't like making another post when nobody else has posted since, but I've beat another of those game nobody wants to touch with a ten foot pole... and had with it.. again. This time the game was "Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise", it's basically what you get when you combine Agent 47 from Hitman with Jason Voorhees and turn that into a teddy bear. You could say something about how dumb the AI is, but.... they are teddy bears, with brains full of fluff, I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be this dumb. They are easy to lead into traps and once you hide they almost immediately stop looking for you. But they do have some AI, if they are wounded are scared they might run away, call for help if not, they look for a weapon an attack you. You can take a disguise, if you manage to take a bear to a forest area and each level has different criteria, if not harsher ones, to defeat you target. Sometimes you need a special weapon, sometimes you need to do in a special place and sometimes you even have to have the target killed by his friends. You can also just create chaos, injure or kill people so others will get scared by this, or simply kill a few people right in front of them so they'll go insane. I think people hated the first game, which I have not played, but I really don't see anything wrong with this one, it's a dumb game, a bit twisted, but it's fun... You get to feed teddy bears to shark plants! :3

That map would have been useful last weekend... XP Pokémon Global Link is up, but it's not really working yet... still... I took a bunch of photos, but only the last two are in my profile and it seems I can't share my trainer video... Why put so much work on it if it's so hard to share? The Pokémiles Club is still not working, that might be interesting, but right now? I think I'll just pet the Pokémon I own and haven't petted yet and that's about it. I really don't watch to catch the Legendary Birds for N-th time. It seems like with each game I care less about the extra content since it's growing with each one, I think I could trade with previous versions or something with the last one, but still, getting them all is just too much of a hassle. Apparently there is a Mew, I don't even want to know how to get I only know some brat demanded one for my Charmander. :|

Thanks to Comixology and Dark Horse Digital I have a bit to read too, a few volumes of Atomic Robo, the entirety of Terry Moore's Echo and Blacksad. I'm sure there will be a Halloween sale and this list will grow even more.

I beat Dark Void.... And I enjoyed it more than I thought I would the enemy and gun variety isn't big, but neither is the game, so I don't mind. The jetpack combat was pretty fun too, and if you don't want to sometimes you can hijack a plane or a turret and do that instead.
