Someone here wanted to trade one of my duplicate Xmas cards, but I think it didn't went through Steam gave me an error and now I no longer see the notification. Is there any easy way for me to find this trade or does the trade need to be done again?

Man, The Dig is the only Lucasarts game I've only played once, I should really replay it... I can't help at all with this one, I one remember one annoying crystal light puzzle and something spoiler-y.

I finished The Eccentric Family, they left a few potholes, but I really enjoyed it despite them.

Namco High is such a bizarre thing... It's probably the first "dating" game to not be confined to Japan only... except it's been made by Americans and it's about the cousin of the Prince of the Cosmos attending Namco High and.. dating obscure Namco character and a few Homestuck characters? The only reason I knew about is because it seems that every web cartoonist I know is designing a character for the game. So yeah, a game where you can date a drum from Taiko Drum Master, the ship from Galaga, Wonder Momo, Mr. Driller.... and three Homestuck characters? I don't even know if the full roster is done... it seems to be adding new characters each week, they just added the Time Crisis yesterday. Since they seem to be working with Shiftylook, it's likely they'll add characters from their Namco comics, but it's hard to tell some characters are being drawn by the same artist as the comic, some don't, some students don't have a Shiftylook comic, so who knows? I have no idea what's going on with Namco High, but it's going to be awesome!

I've played the game... MOST of the dateable characters are behind a paywall... And the game is incredibly short, you'd think a game from the Homestuck guy would be longer, isn't each Homestuck strip as long as a short novella? You meet all the characters, you join the club of the character you want to date, after two days you date, and then one final instance and that's it. This is far from you normal dating game, no multiple saves, no CG gallery (then again, there are no special CG instances). Also the Homestuck characters... Terezi might be blind, but trying to read her l33t speak is making me want to gouge my eyes out, I'm glad the Homestuck characters are behind the SUPER deluxe paywall, because they are all annoying, I looked up their profiles online and just looking at them gives me a headache. I play it again with another free character, but that's about it. I wouldn't mind paying for the characters if the game was longer, but this is just silly, there aren't really options in this game, it's either the very obvious "choose this if you want to date this character" or "choose this if you don't", you can't really mess up, which makes sense since there are no multiple saves. I guess it's more of "romance" visual novel than a real dating game.

So that's why you told me to hit Shift? Did this Mr. Tasty thing happen while I was at the oil rig? I should really start to use a mic, but mine is probably older that some some forum users here. How expensive are new ones?

I have no idea, "early access" games seems to be somewhere between a beta test and a funding project, I mostly feel uncomfortable since there is a chance the project won't be finished or what it promises to be. I've played some "Greenlit" and early access games before they were released on Steam and while some actually try to improve and polish the game, some still felt like they still should be in beta testing. But I guess that's the problem, some people are actually working hard and listening to the people who bought it to improve the game and some aren't, which why I've said I'm just uncomfortable with it instead of against it.

Am I the only one that feels uncomfortable when seeing huge discounts on "Early Access Games"? I don't even like that they call them that when it's really you paying for being a Beta Tester.

I started watching the Eccentric Family and it's pretty awesome so far. I specially like how they deal with gender... tanukis are tricksters and "morphers" by natures, so why would they choose to turn into human as the same gender as their tanuki form? To them it's a challenge for their powers, can I trick them? Also, why should I live by human's gender roles? Their mom's human form calls himself Prince and looks like a guy from a Utena-ish manga and I love it, the main character seems to take so many forms, that I think that the show is challenging me to spot him before he reveals himself, although so far he always seems to have the same hair. What I don't get is the constant references of boiling tanukis in pots and eating them, I suppose it's a joke and a reference to tanuki udon since I've yet to hear a folktale about eating tanukis in stew.

Well this happened, it must have been a glitch because it wouldn't happen again. I landed near an oil rig in the middle of the ocean... it was pretty cool! XP

I just realized that when I beat the game I only died fighting the final boss and that's only because I didn't find the armor upgrade, so I never actually saw the whole renting mechanic in action. :|

I'll try to give it a go, but that late I won't be able to stay long.

I just beat Toki Tori 2, which claimed to a "metroidvania", but if this is a metroidvania, then so is Antichamber as they both have one thing in common, you discover new areas with the knowledge you discover later in the game. The type of puzzles are different from the first game since you have only your chirping and a stomp (that doesn't kill) to solve every puzzle, it's all about learning how your chirps and stomps interact with each creature in the world and how each creature interacts with each other. It's never a question of doing things fast enough, simple knowing what to do. I feel proud that I didn't need help for this game...then again, I couldn't find much help online for this game anyway. But as I learned new tricks it became more easier to advance and tackle each puzzle.

It's likely to be in the "encore day" but does it include Burial at Sea?

It looks like my nephew will spend a lot of time here for Xmas, unfortunately I feel like we shouldn't play LEGO Marvel with him since I found out it's going to be one of his presents. I wonder if it's a bad idea to play Dynasty Warriors co-op with him? The combo system is too complex for him, but maybe I can just give him a horse and have him run around in the field? It's not a car, but it's better than nothing... Hmm, I wonder if I should try to unlock the war elephant, I think he might have fun with that. He refuses to play female characters, but he's only four, I wonder if it's too soon to even bother? I tend to choose a female character just to teach him how powerful they can be, maybe that will help a little. :|
