Well, that's the Blacksad the one I got Dark Horse, so I assume it's the first? it's brilliant either way. XP I should really try to read Yotsuba, if only there was Comixology for manga, but since each manga had different distributors for each country, it would be a legal nightmare. I don't know why I was convinced there was a Yotsuba anime, does it have a lot of really well done "fanimations"? Because I've seen several animated "gifsets" from what looked like a show.

Archie is a comic about a group of teenagers and their adventures, to me the most notable this about the comic is that somehow he has two girls he likes but never chooses one (Betty and Veronica), does this make Archie the first harem comic? ;P Argh, I kinda hate that One Piece is still ongoing, because it's going to be impossible to catch up at this rate. :| I "finished" the She-Hulk "season" I got from Comixology, for some reason, the site is literally missing issues and skips from the Civil War to the Secret Invasion, Frankly, I started to lose interest after this, as the comic were more action focused and we no longer got to see Jennifer use her brain as much as her muscles... I like how in one case the firm defends Leader by claiming that Gamma radiation affects your personality... only to ignore it when later there are a million "Hulks" with no "personality afflictions". I also liked how in one storyline a "Earth A" finds a way to teleport people to She-Hulk's world, and if the "you" in this Earth was a superhero or villain, you BECOME them! They use it for TOURISM! XD But yeah, after that, it's all "clobberin' time"... I'm kinda curious about World War Hulk, but everything post Civil War is too overly dramatic for me..

I'm halfway through Frank Baum's Oz series. Remember how Conan Doyle tried to end Sherlock, but was more or less forced to continue by popular demand? The same happened to Oz, although Frank seemed to love the world as much as his fans, while I've heard Conan Doyle hated Sherlock a bit in the end. Anyway, I've only read one book after the time he tried to end the Oz series, I expected it to take place in Oz's past and there would be no more Dorothy, but it seems I was wrong, the Patchwork Girl of Oz takes place after The Emerald City of Oz, which is a bit of a shame since I really liked how Frank ended up the series and now he seems to be backtracking to make room for story. He literally rid the world of Oz of all evil in that book and made it impossible for it for evil to exist in it... The Kalidah were wild, them tame and now wild again. I'm pretty sure all the event that took place in Emerald City of Oz can be practically ignored, because the more I read, the more of what the book did is undone or simply forgotten. It's still a good read and it's fascinating to learn more about Oz... it was practically the Harry Potter of it's day and Frank Baum himself made a few unsuccessful black & white Oz films that look good, but are rather tedious to watch.

I watched Inferno Cop a show from Trigger that... kinda explains the studio transition from Witch Academia to Kill la Kill? While I think Kill la Kill is making fun of some anime tropes in a subtle way, Inferno Cop is as subtle as a bazooka. It still plays itself straight in the sense that world doesn't acknowledge the craziness that's in it, but it's kinda like a "Bobobo" "Blamimation" is that makes sense to anybody. Either way, I see a lot of Kill la Kill in the show, it much more subtle, but the sense of humor is there.

I was going to talk about a recurring theme I noticed in the show, but after watching the rest of the episode, I guess it needs a spoiler tag. I'm wondering if the bath scene was some sort of misdirection, where they expected some people to pay more attention to the bath scene and sneak in some important clues, Seriously, this scene is so out of place, I'm starting to get suspicious... Trigger might have been composed of ex-Gainax people, but from what I've seen from them they seem to be more into tongue in cheek comedy than fanservice.

I think I'm in the middle of the Kill la Kill episode I think people starting whining about a while ago... And yeah... It's kinda messed up, but I couldn't help to find it hilarious... I'm not sure if it's weird of form of fanservice and trolling at a ridiculous level. This scene came out of nowhere... What?! It went from fanservice to practically hentai...

Yeah, the gameplay looks so "meh", but the graphics look so glorious. I really hope there is more to this game that what seems to be some sort of arena boss fights?

Since She-Hulk was on sale at Comixology, I took the risk and bought a few issues and I definitely don't regret it. In one issue she represents Spider-Man suing the Daily Bugle for defamation and slander! That was my favorite issue so far. At the beginning she kinda like Tony Stark, getting drunk, partying and sleeping with handsome people, but she's growing smarter and more responsible with each issue, what I really love about her is she uses her smarts as often (if not more) as her strength to solve her problems. I really love a comic when it's more about talking and characters than punching stuff, and oddly enough, it's balanced pretty well here so far, since she's a lawyer many issues are just cases with superheroes and supervillains... I smell a hint of drama to come, but I'm hoping it's handled well? If they resolve the full run of the comic with out going too drama crazy, I think we have a winner!

Damn, is it at least slightly less hard to control and forgiving than Surgeon Simulator? I couldn't even do the first stage of that game. :|

I have to ask, does Octodad still have the suspicion meter or can you wreck every thing and still complete the game? I saw some gameplay and it wasn't there, but I think it still the tutorial level.

I've watched a few episodes of Space Dandy and I don't see why anybody would be upset by it, the intro pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the show... It's a parody of early Sci-fi anime, not Cowboy Bebop 2, although the ending of the first episode reminded me of the end of Cowbop Bebop. Seriously, the "villains" of the show are so 80's it's hurts! I'm pretty sure they might never meet the villains until the final episode, if not at all.

Yeah, I just checked and it's true, it weird that FF III is the only one not on sale in Europe. Sure I could buy the US one, but switching accounts on a Vita is ten times more painful then on a PSP. I could just play it on my PSP though. XP

I just finally completed Hate Plus and... I'm glad I had a file from the previous game with the "Impossible Harem ending", because not only do the character work better together than separate, but... It's pretty interesting to read the story of the ship before Mute or the "Old Mute" days like they like to call it, they all seem to interconnect at some moment in time, also, like I said, it's more fun to see Hyun-ae and Mute's reaction to the files together than separate, they seem to balance each other out and well, they create funnier situation together, Mute solo is just "How dare people not act like we are in the Dark Ages? Women should stay in the kitchen and make babies!" while Hyun-ae solo is too romantic and waifu-y...

What I don't get is why Final Fantasy III isn't on sale, it's the only FInal Fantasy game I don't own because it wasn't on sale the last time Square has a sale too. Every other FF game is on sale, is there some reason for this? :|

I also got this with PSN+ and considering that I'm so sick of AAA games and SPECIALLY FPS games, the fact that I managed to complete must mean it's pretty good? I'm really sick of game that just shove down your throat what a dark and dismal their world is, when was the last time you played a game where the world wasn't a post-apocalyptic nightmare or something similar? Although I'm sick of this, I still kinda prefer when they let you discover the wasteland by yourself, an empty ruined room with some notes and scattered items is more effective to me that just seeing people being executed. I do think the combat is better, the enemies feel less bullet spongy and the behavior and mechanics work better too, I used... what ever the air pellet gun was called for most of the game and only used a machine gun or sniper rifle in other occasions. I really hate how they used Anna... And There is one thing I didn't understand, at many cities you'd hear about people losing something, but I could never figure out if it was just for flavor or some strange quest. Either way, considering that lately I like these kind of games as much a vegan likes a McDonalds burger, the fact that I didn't hate it at the end and the "sloggish-ness" was barely noticeable probably means it's great? *shrug*

I remember watching reruns of the early cartoon, Sabrina tended to appear a lot in Archie and viceversa and sometimes the Groovie Goolies showed up? If you only watched the live action show or the newer cartoon, it makes sense that you didn't see the Archie connection... Does Sabrina even live in Riverdale in those series? Also... there's a new Sabrina cartoon?

I wouldn't mind if they replaced difficulty settings with "I'm an adult, respect my time" and "I'm a snotty teen, if the game isn't infinity hours long I'll whine on every social network". There are so many mechanics that make games a slog now, bullet sponges, bullet sponges with cover mechanics, that make the first combat take more time than a whole level of an older game. I'm also against regenerating health, specially when they do the "everything is red, when you are almost dead" thing, "bureaucratic filler", when games make you fill in form "keycard_A" and take it to "Door_1", only to have "Door_1" tell you fill in form "Fuse-23" in "Basement_C", "mini-Boss_145", "Forced Arena Fight_45", ad infinitum...

I'm willing to give the show a shot too, but I wonder if the game will reach Europe. :|

I don't mind the darker tone Raold Dahl's takes, but I don't like the moral they have in the end. I would read a story about poaching to a kid, the fact that it makes poaching look like a GOOD thing is what upsets me. I also don't mind the deaths, because only an adult could truly how awful of a death they would be. Shrinking into nothingness? Horrible! But I don't think I kid would even get it. What I really don't get is the WWII book in my kid book bundle, that's seriously messed up. The rest I would read to a kid, but Going Solo? No way!

Not, some just really require you to do your "homework" and figure out a riddle and few are actually very complex.

I gave War of the Human Tanks another chance and not only enjoyed it, but beat it! It's a strategy game where the "human tanks" are just robots. It plays a bit like Battleship in the sense that you die in one hit if your character is only one square big and you constantly have to scout and guess where the enemies are. It also play like an anime show with "moe" robots and characters and it even has an ending song and intro song after each chapter, just like if it was a show. It has it's funny moments like when you fight an actual "Human Tank" which is a tank with a girl's face... which is both hilarious and disturbing and... Mr. Cat. Imagine all the firepower of Megagodzilla condensed into one tiny kitten. What really bothers me is that it's a strategy game where you can't save in mid battle, I guess that's a Japanese thing, I don't think you can do that in games like Fire Emblem either? It's still bloody fun!
-
I would say it's a bit more brutal than a Megaman game, but still doable. Also, yeah, most of the puzzle are just better if you skip them and use a walkthrough instead.

I just finished the Roald Dahl "bio-graphies", I can understand why he splits them in two, the first one is about his childhood and is child friendly, the second one is... World War II, and yet... it was still part of this children's book collection. It has a scene where Roald Dahl's African man-servant steals his sword to DECAPITATE a German civilian and Roald Dahl thought it was OK because every German civilian would become a soldier soon enough. The first book has the phrase “I only use hot-bottomed fags…” (a term for college freshmen in his time and college) and I kinda spent several minutes laughing uncontrollably... ¬_¬U Also you can see the seeds of his future books being planted by his early life... He really did love his sweets!

I just finished the Roald Dahl child book collection (I still have the auto-bio ones, but I'm not counting those). There is a reason some of his books weren't turned into films. although I could see The Twits and the Marvelous Medicine made into films... I'm VERY surprised Danny the Champion of the World was turned into a movie, it was one my least favorite since it glorified poaching and barely had an excuse, the villain only exists so the poaching seems justified, but still taking your kid poaching? That's just crazy! Matilda was my favorite, although I'd hate to admit it, the movie was kinda better, it cleans up the "good" characters by doing things like turning pranks into accidents, which I'm not sure I like, but I do like the extra stuff they added, the ending seems more believable with extra scene at Trunchbull's house. It's a shame that the Esio Trot was the last one in the collection, specially after Matilda, while I don't hate it as much as Champion of the World, the moral is probably WORSE... It's about who tricks a woman into marrying him... Wow! That's just dreadful... I'm thinking I'll be reading the Oz Collection next, after the Wizard of Oz and whatever the second movie was based on, it's unknown territory to me. PS: Has anybody read the Great Glass Elevator? Am I the only one who thinks Roald "chickened out" of the Space Hotel scene because either he didn't want it to be cooler than the Wonka Factory or because he didn't know how to top the Wonka factory?
