The latest Storybundle had yet another History of Atari book, which I only glazed over because I'm sick of hearing about Atari's history. They all stop at the same point in time, when Atari is first sold... They never even cover the Atari ST! I also quit "The Camelot Papers" which had a humorous cover, but wasn't very funny, I almost quit at the start when the protagonist was almost raped by Arthur's father... I did when the main protagonist caught Arthur masturbating. The reviews call it a "satire", can it still be satire if we don't even know if Arthur ever existed? Also "Arthur is actually an idiot, HA HA!" is very witty and has been done before and done better. Apart from the book yelling at me how stupid Arthur was, even though he just seems that he thinks he's stupid to me, I don't see any humor in this book at all... I'm currently reading "Motorcyclus", which seems like a compilation of creepypastas, one story is just "You succeeded at building a time machine! YAY! But I'm your GHOST! BOO!", but I think it's fun in a cheesy way.

I remember enjoying Iji and I liked what I've seen or MURI, but I haven't bought it yet. Either I played Herocore or I say someone else play it YouTube, it's very familiar, maybe I did both?

Kim & Clint Hocking their Swiftboat down the Amazon

Damn, Amazon just release the Amazon Fire TV, so it's safe to assume whatever they'll will be exclusive for this system? -
Goat Simulator: Queen of Chaos, Bringer of Destruction

GASP! Maybe the reason Escape Goat was imprisoned was for the chaos he caused in this game! It works perfectly as a prequel! ...I kinda liked the Naughty Bear in Paradise game...- 16 replies

They also purchased Double Helix, so the question is are going to make a game, and exclusive Kindle Fire game or a new game system? Double Helix doesn't really have a good track record, so maybe that's why they hired Kim and Clint? -

I recently beat Kingdom Hearts I for the first time ever, it was the one from the "1.5 Remix", it was totally worth playing it since Sora feels more like a "classic" Final Fantasy hero and I got to beat up Cloud and Squall SEVERAL TIMES! The 1.5 Mix has the stupid card game, which I quit near the end since I already beat on GBA and it was more like a "modern FF" game, A.K.A. very painful for me to play in every aspect. The 1.5 Remix is a bit of a rip-off since it claims to have three "titles", KH 358/2 is not the actual game, but just the cutscenes, which were still painful to watch, since it nothing but "Nobodies" my least favorite characters and frankly, the plot just made no sense special when you look when it takes place. I'm kinda glad I didn't have to play it. But now... I don't think I want to play Kingdom Hearts 2 or the upcoming KH 3 or anything from Square ever again...

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I quit Kingdoms Heart RE: Chain of Memories HD because it was painful on so many levels, the card system is stupid and pretty pointless once you get good cards and the story is just and pointless, stupid and painful. The story just makes no sense specially when you look up the chronology. I was pretty close to the ending, but... I couldn't put myself through the stupidity and frustration of everything in general. Besides, I beat the GBA version back in the day, why do it again? -
That's what everybody thinks of every fandom that isn't their own in general. :|
-
At least it's a collection of both the games, instead of just one game with slightly better graphics.

I just saw one "half-episode" so far (each episode is split in two stories) and so far it's adorable, with mild fanservice, but I think I might get a little higher on the fanservie scale later, the question is how high.

My nephew still hasn't grasped the concept of lives or a life bar in games, he can barely handle Kirby, but the LEGO games, those he can play pretty well, I like to play MAME games with him with free play or cheats on, which isn't helping with him grasping the concept of "don't get hit", but if not he'll just play the same level of a LEGO game for six hours straight and I already think I hate Mario because of him (we spent a whole weekend playing 1-1.1-2 and 1-3 AND NOTHING ELSE!), I don't want him to do the same to LEGO. :| He also got very upset when we played through the Sailor Moon arcade game, because he couldn't play as a boy.

I've only read the online version, which is the only version I can access, since I don't think legal digital manga distribution is going to happen easily because it's a different distributor for each country, making it a nightmare. They well places that do sell digital manga seem to have it region locked. :|

I've.... run out of Yotsuba! mangas to read....

This whole "furry" thing is kinda stupid if you ask me, since everybody loves to pick and choose what is and what isn't furry, in other words, "TMNT isn't furry, because I don't like furries and I'm not a furry, but liking Polar Bear Cafe makes you a furry... because I said so." But seriously, it's just an "anthro" mouse and a girl turning into a snake, it's like they've never read any of his work before, remember Amazing 3? I started watching Robot Girls Z and... wait a second, this theme is familiar what is... OH GOD! IT'S MOE MAZINGER Z?!?! I've only seen one episode, but it's so hilarious that I think it's funnier than the show it's based on. And it's barely fanservice-y, which is odd consider what a perv Go Nagai is... Then again, I've only seen one episode, maybe "Aphrodite A" will make an appearance and have gross anime boos and panty flash every three seconds, but it sure doesn't feel like that kind of show.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I can't believe I'm quitting Mercenary Kings, a game I Kickstarted... then again, I only Kickstarted it because of the artist they hired... and it looked like Metal Slug, more like Metal SLOG! OH HO HO! Seriously, the game is pretty fast paced, but the crafting and grinding for materials is bogging the game down... also, they should have hired the artist to create more scenarios, I think all missions take place in like 3 maps, but they look almost the same. I could have played the beta and given some feedback, but I doubt they'd remove the crafting from the game. At first I thought, "Oh, it's just a handful of items to craft, OK, that's a pain, but doable!", then I beat the first boss and reached the next ranks which unlocked more parts and when I looks at how much stuff there was too craft? Nope, specially if the scenery never changes at all. :| -
I might give it a go since it's on Crunchyroll and Kill la Kill just just ended, speaking of which...

You know what I mean, regardless of the lost episodes, it's still easier to catch up to than something like One Piece. Doctor Who started in 1963 and has about 700 episodes, One Piece started in 1997 and it has nearly 700 episodes too! All I'm saying is that one is producing content at a faster rate than the other show, so it's obviously easier to catch up to the show that produces less shows over time.
-
Considering we're only getting a few episodes of Doctor Who a year you can see why it would easier to catch up to than something that's on WEEKLY Shonen Jump. XP I think the stopped airing around Chopper's appearence, which is still "just" 80 episodes in, but since it was ages ago I'm sure it would a good idea to just pick off from there.

Yeah the ecosystem stuff was weird, in one episode Toriko is like "Don't worry, I'm only taking one to preserve the ecosystem", in another he's causing mass genocide... At least he doesn't kill what he won't eat? Also One Piece is the one show I want to get back into, it was on normal TV back in the day, but it stopped and knowing I have so much to catch up to is too much. It would be easier to watch every episode of Doctor Who ever made! D:
-
I've started watching Toriko which I enjoyed a bit until I realized it was one of those "ongoing/neverending" shonen action shows... Also, it sucks to watch a show about people bragging how delicious their fictional food is, I just realized I ate a box of crackers out of pure "food jealously" if that makes any sense.

I was never a big fan of Dead Space, I only played Dead Space 2 because it came with PSN+... I beat a bunch of games from indie bundles: -Guise of the Wolf: Frankly, I had fun, it's a bad game, but it's short and dumb and enjoyable because of it's shortness, if you can get it in a bundle for a a buck or less, it's pretty fun! -Highborn: It's like Grotesque Tactics light for a mobile systems ported for Steam, only a pretty decent port. It kinda cheap since you can hide in a forest and not be seen, but the enemies patrol and hide their too, you it's not like it makes the game too easy. The humor is so reference based Family Guy is telling them to tone it down... They use the same Monkey Island joke at least three times and it's the first time I've seen a Frobozz reference and yet... it didn't annoy me too much and I had fun. The final battle was pretty intense and challenging. -Doorways: It's another Amnesia clone, nice and short, not scary at all and goes from too easy to frustrating very fast, in the fast chapter you only get ghosts that block your path, while the second chapter has a hall of spear wielding statues that kill you and not only to have to take the right path, you have to do it perfectly and FAST! -Postmortem: One Must Die: You are Death incarnate and must attend a party where people from two factions are mingling, where you much talk to them and then choose who dies. As far as I know, there is no right choice, and things go bad no matter what you do, they just go bad differently? -Epic Battle Fantasy 4: Apparently it's a series of flash games, the fourth one has this special edition, which I really enjoyed, the game was fun but can get very brutal, special in the unique dungeon of the paid version of this game, where you have to fight several waves of tough enemies in a row. Epic Battle Fantasy 1 & 2 were nothing BUT waves of enemies, from what I've been told. I like the magic/skill system since you can give a skills you couldn't get otherwise and because it has a heavy metal spell... that's kinda awesome. Although it would have made more sense if it had been a dark spell instead of a wind one.

I think I might have made a big mistake... How does VAC work exactly?

Weeks? That really sucks. Like I said I always do check, but since was just a simple puzzle game, for once it didn't seem necessary. -

I got Winter Voices in a recent bundle and I'm not sure what I was playing, it's a weird RPG about emotions? You encounter spirits and they basically taunt you and attack you mentally, you have to respond to them and I think pick the wrong choice means you lose hit points? When half the responses are "Run away crying", "NO! NO! NO! This can't be! ", you can understand why the game put me off. This might have made an interesting visual novel, but adding "combat" slows it down unnecessarily. -

Save game editors are rare and not that easy to use, I used Cheat Engine, which does edits the memory accessed by the game. I remember sometime ago on the GiantBomb cast they said people got banned for cheating on a single player game (Diablo 3, maybe?), but that's different since since you can use that character online. I'm pretty sure I cheated on Skyrim with console commands, most western RPGs have them. Frankly, I have no idea what will happen, but does anybody think I should bother to try to contact the makers of the game? Their page is in Korean. Is it even worth it? :| Seriously, this is kinda messed up, I feel like only five people have played this game since I only seen the same people on the leader boards and I was usually one of them and I suck at this game. From the forums it sounds they have a server for match making, so it's relatively safe to assume I never accessed them? While doing research, apart from the Diablo thing, I've only seen people banned for playing multiplayer with some cheat device on. Oh well, "Alea jacta est", it's too late to do anything now if I really did something that would be bannable. Some to think of it, I might have accidentally even had Cheat Engine running while playing a multiplayer VAC game, but it was messing with something else. I really hope what I did does not count, but I really can't do a thing about it.
