I completed "The Inner World" a nice adventure game about a strange and dying world with an interesting world and puzzles. And your nose is a flute? And "Harvester".... it's considered the most disturbing and violent game ever made and... I laughed at it all the while like it was a cheesy B-movie... it kinda is. I just tries too hard? Maybe it would have freaked me out if I had played it out back in the day, but the special effects are kinda funny. XP

Can you adjust the sensitivity of the trackpad? I don't know how it works with a gamepad, but if you can adjust the sensitivity it might be an option too? With the sensitivity so low it's actually possible to do something resembling a tiptoe making "almost" not impossible.

Wow, they are really so ridiculously similar up to that point... I don't whether to laugh or cry. Anyway, I beat Octodad, which is probably the only game in the "ha ha, look at how hard it is to control, isn't that funny, except it's not" category that I've completed and enjoyed, the game did let you break it a little, like in the basketball minigame, you can just climb in and make the dunking easier, the finale... was a nightmare! I had to reduce the mouse sensitivity to the lowest and try to tiptoe over some rafters. This is usually frustrating in all games, with an octopus that can barely walk as a human? Even more so! But the game is still amazing!

I bought one... I don't think I still own one though and I kinda like the GBA Micro, it's is so tiny and portable! Maybe it was a disaster, this still goes to to prove that despite all the jokes the WiiU is doing better than any "disaster" we might mention and Nintendo has survived them all.

I finished a few games in these last days: Gomo: It's Daedalic's Samorost, only not as good, but not that bad? Hotel: Wow, this game was hilariously bad, I make fun of adventure games for forcing Monkey Island references, this one made me realize how many try the "Broken Sword" approach, a.k.a. normal person encounters super secret society, also maybe magic and ghosts? A.k.a. Dan Brown? I have read any of his books lately. Anyway, this was a fun and dumb game that I got cheap in a bundle, so it was worth it for me. Ku: Shroud of Morrigan: Probably a mobile port, it didn't outstay it's welcome, except it sequel baits. Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta: What Garshap is to God of War, Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta is to Uncharted. They are both from Middle Eastern companies that have taken heroes from their culture and inserted them into well.... clones of more popular games with more popular myths in them. The game is cheesy as hell and fun, but Ibn Battuta seems.. too cool for such a cheesy game? Too bad he was too much into slavery according to the Wiki article. I really hope this one does get a sequel.

Man, at this rate you guys are going to convince to not but the South Park game... Isn't it general gaming knowledge that most bosses are immune to status effects?
  7. Shadowrun Kickstarter

I beat Dragonfall and at first it was kinda disappointing to know the campaign was mostly random missions to get money for the real quest. On the other hand, in one of the quests I actually managed to use my charisma, intelligence and other skills to not have to fight at all during a certain mission. I don't think it's a spoiler to say that this game for once does have a truly "gray" ending, in Teltalle Games I know my decisions will eventually get someone killed and sometimes don't even matter, but in this game? I really have no idea if I did the right thing...
  8. RIP Nintendo, 1889-2016

Have you been reading what some of us are saying? Some of us are old enough to have LIVED through MUCH tougher times to Nintendo, I already listed many horrible ideas they've had before and many of us here have posted our own "Nintendo is dead" moment.... I really don't see your point Nintendo has made so many bad decisions in the past that I'm sure there is a BIG book out that lists them all and they are still alive, not only that I still fail to see why this is bad news. The Pokémon Mini was a disaster, the Virtua Boy was a disaster, even if they do drop the WiiU out of nowhere it wouldn't even be in any top 10 list of console failures. Frankly, most Nintendo fans are more into the portables than anything else, have you seen the excitement over the REMAKE of a Pokémon game? Tomodachi Life? Call me when the 3DS is in trouble, it's normal for a Nintendo fan to have their console to collect dust until a new game is out that year. Geez, the WiiU's catalog is already better than the Wii's, I just don't see why you are so worried.
  9. The game never breaks because the sausage "exploit", how many of us have carried a sausage from the beginning just to skip this section? I know I do. On many playthroughs I try to carry objects from one section to another I know I will use later.
  10. RIP Nintendo, 1889-2016

I just remembered something, back in the day, when Squaresoft announced they would work for Sony and Nintendo would stick with the expensive and antiquated cartridge system for the N64... I also thought it was the end for Nintendo.
  11. Shadowrun Kickstarter

Oh man, I just realized I never read the extra material I got from the sale too, maybe that would explain why.... I realized like the combat systems, it was a bit like modern X-Com and old Fallout, which is a nice combination... I doesn't make me want to play X-Com, but I do feel like finally trying to play an old Fallout to the end. Can I port my character into the new campaign? I hope so.
  12. RIP Nintendo, 1889-2016

Please.... Atari made the worst decisions ever and will it's around, shambling like a walker, but it's still alive, Sega is OK, most of the "Elders" are still around... They survived the Virtua Boy with barely a scratch, Sony back-stabbed them Game of Thrones style when they tried to release a CD-SNES and Sony released the PSX. Frankly, I don't even see why this is a bad idea, China didn't really have any consoles before, as far as I know, so making a special one for them doesn't seem stupid.
  13. General Video Game Deals Thread

The Humble Store has Saints Row IV on sale at 75%, I guess it's time to get it then?

I had a long weekend and and I had a log of gaming done: -The "Quiet, Please" series, it's a simple cheap adventure game about a girl that only wants some peace and quiet and you must quiet everything in good ol' adventuring style, A.K.A. steal everything and destroy property and lives, specially the life of your neighbor who looks like Ned Flanders. -Adventure Time: The WayForward one with the long title, it's like Zelda II and Metroid, but your swordsmanship doesn't have to be as good as in Zelda and you do have to explore as much as in a Metroid game, it's WayForward, so it looks and sounds great... It was almost too easy with so much food to keep me healthy in my inventory. -Ys: Memories of Celceta: Boy, am I glad I got the special edition that came with a guide, because the game has not one but TWO "Lost Woods" in it, but it's still an awesome Ys game, I even did the ridiculously brutal optional boss and did all the optional stuff in general.
  15. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

I don't know why, but Adventure Time comics are no longer region locked at Comixology, HUZZAH! Should I even bother with the Witchblade sale? I think I saw the TV pilot and it was OK, it's about a cop that kicks ass and is scantily clad when wearing a magic glove, is it at least better than Fathom? Can anybody vouch for it?
  16. Android Games

OK, I found out that those Dragon Fantasy Book games that never came out in Europe on PSN are actually available on Google Play, which make it even more confusing to not seem them on PSN Europe... Anyway, I'll be happy to finally play them, I assume the price is because it's all the chapters combined? This is gaming related, but what do you use to listen to podcasts on your Droid? I doubt there is one that would sync with iTunes, but there has to be one that would make the transition less painless?
  17. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I'm thinking of quitting Daedalic's Alcatraz 1954, for starters, it doesn't really feel like it's 1954, but it's giving me a bit Runaway vibe... crossed with a Telltale Game? I'm only played it for a while, but the game is very unsubtle with the the choices it forces you to make, not to mention, I don't really like Noir games... The fact the game is about backstabbing and getting money for a mobster, which is kinda Runaway-ish anyway is really turning me off.

Keep in mind that The Shivah is just WadgetEye's game first game with better graphics and voice acting, I don't think he rewrote any new scenes or lines?
  19. Android Games

I don't know if I've asked this before, but does anybody know how to use a PS3 controller on your Droid with an OTG cable properly? After spending ages trying to get Retroarch to work with my PS3 controller I give up, at first, all I could do is walk left, after many painful tries the best I could do is walk right... in a laggy/staggery way? I tried a different controller so I know it's not my controller. Do I simply need an app to configure it? The only one I found keeps telling me I need to root my device. I'm almost tempted to get one of those controller for droid if it didn't seem so expensive and unnecessary since I should be able to do it fine. I could swear I managed to get it right with my old Droid, but it's been so long I've forgotten. :| EDIT: Nevermind, I found an old PC USB gamepad and it works perfectly, it has less buttons, but it doesn't use a battery, so that's a plus!

I beat Memoria, the sequel to Chain of Satinav and it's improved over the last game, there are more spells to add a new element to the puzzles, which is good, on the downside... It had a maze, which does let you skip it if you get lost, so I can forgive that. The most interesting part that in this game you play as new character in the past, and you must find out her history to solve your problems. Man, Daedalic seems to be getting better and better, while their storytelling isn't as good as Telltale's, they are keeping the classic adventure more than alive and well.
  21. Dual audio in Games (The Weaboo's Lament)

As a fan of voice acting, it's a tough choice, I follow a few voice actors on Twitter and I should never say anything bad about a game or show's dubbing because there is usually at least one person I like in the cast... In this case Teepo is voiced by Erin Fitzgerald, which happened to be my favorite character in the game. I don't really know any Japanese "seiyuu", but I do like watching shows in Japanese sometimes, but I couldn't really say why. Frankly, I can't remember the last time a show or game had THAT bad voice acting that wasn't made cheaply and quickly.

I just beat the final Blackwell game and WOW, what a great ending to a series. I can really say more without spoilers. T_T

Remember what I said about that game, I'm not sure if I should take it back, it seems that lately games have "demo" versions without calling themselves that. This game just says you can buy extra dungeons.... it never said that these dungeons were part of the storyline. What worries me the most is the "packs" do I have to pay SEVERAL times to beat the game or is one the story back and the other some bonus dungeon?
  24. Android Games

Huh, I just noticed something. As much as we loathe Google+, it's integrated with your Droid and what you play on it, and the best part? If a friend of yours gives a good rating to a game, it's likely to appear on the Google Play front page! That's how I discovered Deep Dungeons of Doom, it's pretty great, it's a super simplistic rogue like game, you can pay for money and other things, but it doesn't seem necessary so far. All you can do is attack, defend and use an item if you have one, the game has "missions" that give money and reputation, which can be used to buy PERMANENT upgrades or a potion if you find a vendor and you have the money. It's all about timing, the enemies telegraph well enough when they attack, but finding the exact time to block is a bit more difficult with some magical attack. Also, if you attack right at the same time the enemy does, it's considered a riposte and does extra damage.... the enemy can do the same to you if your not careful. I was pretty happy and surprised to see I had collected one of the three items that I assume I need for some final dungeon. Did I mention how great the game looks?

Jesus, how can this thread be so dead... does anybody play anything on their Droid that isn't from a Droid Humble Bundle or ScummVM? I was looking at the store and didn't see anything that ground breaking, I bought the Giana Sisters since it's the best platform game I know of on iOS, but I didn't really see anything else that peaked my interest since I already have the Room I and II. I was sad to find out that Civ Revolution isn't on Droid, but FreeCiv looks interesting, it's like a port of Civ II? I know the Droid market isn't as good as the iOS one, but there has to be something interesting out there, right?
