Well, I'm glad I skipped this Batman game from the latest Steam sale then... I beat a few games from the Steam Sale too: Warlock 2 The Exiled: I called the first Warlock "Civ V with Wizards" but now it really does feel a lot more like Civ V with Wizards, before you pretty much only researched spells, but now you can research stuff like some sort of alchemy that increases your research output in general. I'm pretty sure the neutral cities didn't exist in the last game? The main plot is that some big bad wizard has taken over your world and everybody has been exiled to worlds similar to the ones in warp gates in the first game, but there is a variety of worlds and I think you can win by reaching your world and defeating him, but I killed my rival without noticing that it would end the game. I also got a DLC dragon player, which changes the game completely because, while it's pretty powerful, it does have a city, so you have to survive on what you get from monster hives until you take over a city... I was still in the red when I defeated my rival. Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures: It's based on the show and apparently all the characters and powers are from it. The game is relatively short with only about 6 worlds with only 4 or 5 worlds in it and a bonus world or two. Pac-Man no longer needs his special pill to eat ghosts and you have special pills that change your form into rock, flame, etc... Frankly, the game did a good job of introducing the powers, by the time you see the final one, you're close to the end of the game and the game doesn't feel repetitive. It's better than the Pac-Man World games in any case. Jazzpunk: Let's face it, this game is basically a comedy bit disguised as a game, it's more about making jokes or anything, Some are pretty obscure.... I found a 3DO in a beach for example. There are jokes about games, jokes about making gaming jokes, slapstick humor and jokes on slapstick humor and so on and so on... Frankly more jokes fell flat then not, but the ones that didn't were pretty funny?

In the end, I did buy Jazzpunk, but I couldn't be bothered to buy Arkham Origins, the more games the franchise has, the less I'm interested in. I'm kinda tempted to buy FF7 since the Steam version has cheats so I won't have to grind and Age of Mythology HD since I'm slowly getting into Age of Empires II HD (Even though it's only 40% off).

Yeah, but what's 50% off this sale is likely to be 70-80% off in the next Steam sale... or the one after it?
  4. General Video Game Deals Thread

Jazzpunk is just 50% off, I guess I should wait till it's cheaper?

Jesus, they go up to level 500? That's insane!

When you think about, the game is kinda fair, there is a limit to the number badges you can craft right? And the votes reset too. So the people in your team crazy enough to get the summer badge to level 10 can no longer help that much unless they craft normal badge with are worth less points. I might craft a normal badge if I see we are winning and the competition for that day is almost over, but that's about it... I'm happy with getting my Summer Badge to Level 1.

Last time I looked the card were over 40 cents, which means you must spend almost 4€ per badge, or simply buy a lot of games? Of course it's possible that people are simply crafting normal badges and getting less points, but you can probably craft a whole badge in some game for 40 cents... Unless this crazy sale has increased the value of ALL cards, which I don't even dare to look!
  8. Nintendo 3DS

Has anybody played the Regular Show 3DS game? It's on sale now. Even though it's from Wayforward, it seems nobody liked it? Then again, their Adventure Time game got low scores and I loved it.

I just beat the whole "Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller" series, you can tell that it's episode since they do seem to change things a bit from episode to episode. The first one was starts the weakest and when I was introduced to a team and met the "Nerds act like Big Bang Theory characters, right" character... I kinda hated the game, he even has his own "BAZINGA!"... Eww. But he's not that relevant to the game and apart from some references to Quest for Glory and old PC copy protection talk... he wasn't that annoying even though he's very stereotypical. The game became more interesting with each episode, Erica main "gimmick" is her psychic powers to see the past and many puzzles resolve around getting certain objects to see the past or getting to touch someone to see their past. The final episode is the weirdest since they add a trust meter and the episode will evolve different depending on how much a certain person trusts you, it would be interesting if it weren't so obvious what you have to say. They are kinda unpolished and cost MORE than a full Telltale game, so while I don't recommend paying full price for them, getting them from a sale or some indie bundle seems like a good idea.... Just don't let Terrence turn you away from the game when he goes Big Bang Theory on you.

Warlock 2 is 50%.... I didn't even know this game had a sequel! It's basically Civ V with Wizards... I might just buy it even though it's just 50% off, because a special "Lord" edition.

Do the teams reset each day or what? Purple is still way too much in the lead, not that it matters since I doubt I'd get a prize if my team won.

It's only 5€ cheaper, and the PS3 version isn't the "Complete Edition", but the Vita one is... it's kinda weird, but yeah, it's cheaper on PSN.
  13. General Video Game Deals Thread

Dynasty Warriors 8 is 50% off, but if you own the PS3 and Vita, their version had a permanent price drop to 19.99€, so I'd only recommend this if you don't own any other system that can play this game.

They claim the Capcom Ultra LONG SUPER COMBO NAME DLC is XBone only.... But I doubt it.

I don't really get the game, but I think you are putting into a team at random, which gives you a card and if your team wins... you MAY win a game from your wishlist?
  16. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

The last time I read anything of Chip Zdarsky, it's Monster Cops...

I beat Inescapable, an indie game that I got from a bundle and didn't realize it was that "Amiga-esque" Metroidvania, it was so short and simple that I didn't mind it didn't have a map, but it did end abruptly, what happened to be the final boss seemed to be a minor mid-boss to me. It's barely a Metroidvania, while not linear, it doesn't has anything optional and 90% of the items you find are keys to reach the next area. You get a double jump, you get the ability to breath underwater and I got a more powerful gun I never used because nothing was really that threatening. I died more from drowning than enemies. Apart from the logo, the game itself does not feel like an Amiga game, it plays like a Mini Metroid with plot, it's missing the badass music most Amiga games have, this game is SILENT...
  18. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

Ok, so I guess I won't buy the new Suicide Squad then, but has anybody bought Gotham City Sirens or the 2000's Harley comic? The rest are based on the original cartoon Harley so I think they are a safe bet, and the 2000's Harley comic looks safe enough, but I've never even heard of Gotham City Sirens before.

AH! Steam Sale! I really can't afford to spend much on this sale, since I just bought a WiiU. Most of them are indie game I might get even cheaper in a bundle, so I won't mind waiting this one out.
  20. Comics Extravaganza - Pow Bang Smash!

The only thing that worries me is the Suicide Squad and anything with the "New Harley".
  21. Video Game Baby - Idle Parents

I already have the LEGO games on other systems, it seems Mario Kart 8 is ever simpler to understand than the other games, so maybe he could play that?
  22. Video Game Baby - Idle Parents

Hmm, what WiiU game would you recommend to play co-op with a 4 year old? Nintendo Land? The New Mario Bros WiiU? Something else? Should I get a gamepad cover just in case he insists in using the WiiU gamepad?

And me thinking the horn was just an excuse to have Wario make fart noises... Thanks! I am going to try to unlock all characters, but that's about it...

Nevermind, I unlocked Rosalina AND baby Rosalina so I'm happy. I'd ridiculously hilarious how aggressive the racers, I got a blue shell and two red shells in a ROW! (Someone told me you could defend from the blue shell, but I don't how, I'm still new to the game?)

I beat Mario Kart 8 and.... I really hate the random unlocking, I want to unlock Rosalina, but I need to get gold at higher championships than I can handle... Frankly, I'm surprised I beat 50cc. I didn't even expect to love MK 8 this much, except for the unlocking aspect. They get ridiculously aggressive in higher levels. Oh well, it's still a blast to play.
