Wait, wait, that's how the law works in America? It only counts as sexual assault if they say "NO!"? That's horrible!

Should I bother with Shattered Memories if I've seen a full longplay that spoils everything?

I just beat Silent Hill Downpour and it was pretty damn poor, the rain didn't even play an element in the game and the moment you end up in the Otherworld you get chased by spoopiest thing ever.... A BALL OF RED LIGHT! After being legitimately scared by ZombiU I expected to be a little scared of this, but my eyes were rolling so hard they could have caused a hurricane. I know things in SH are mysterious, but here it's just plot holes and things that don't make sense or are ridiculously forced. I think this is the most disappointing SH game in the series, I haven't played Shattered Memories, but there is no way that it's worse than this.

Clicker Heroes: Cookie Clicker the RPG a.k.a. I CAN'T STOP SEND HELP!
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I'm half ignoring the game now, unless I missed something, grinding seems to increase exponentially between boss battles and now I'm barely paying attention and only checking ever 30 minutes or so. I know this kind of games are mostly to talk about grinding and expectation in games, but when it's getting worse than the real thing, it's not funny anymore? If it weren't for the fact that I don't even have to really play except for boss battles (and I can even let the computer handle it if I grind enough) I'd quit, but morbid curiosity will only take you so far. -
If you guys like The Cat Lady, you should look into the creator's previous game Downfall. The only problem is that there is Downfall cameo in the game that's a pretty big spoiler?

Really? They actually said Stilettos are more practical? Did Gail Simone have anything to do with this? I wouldn't mind to see more heroes dress more sensibly, which reminds me, didn't Wonder Woman start wearing a jacket too?

I haven't payed much attention to Steam curators since too many of them are trying to be "hilarious" instead of informative, what's worse is that 2 of the recommendations are from "comedians" and one of them is "8Chan", which I assume is twice as bad as 4chan? I'm not sure I get this, the most popular ones are YouTubers and sites, followed by people who already know them and consume their content, so they already know what's on the list? I haven't visited the Idle Thumbs yet, but I've already read the jokes about FarCry 2, and I'm pretty sure the rest are games from the podcast.

I was about to say the same thing, I'm at level 55 monsters and it's really slowing down. At least with Cookie Clicker weird things could happens and Elder Gods take over and turn your grannies into monsters... who still make cookies? -

Wow, I just found out that the game actually plays itself when you turn off your PC, did Cookie Clicker do that too? -

Strange, it's still working for me. And it's like Progress Quest in a sense, except you wait for HP bar to empty instead of filling up? I think it's really more like Cookie Clicker, the heroes you hire have upgrades that feel "Cookie Clicker-ish"? -
Am I the only who wished ME3 was a visual novel? Does anybody actually play it for the gameplay? Anyway, I beat a game I didn't expect to enjoy as much... Depth Hunter 2. It's kinda like a budget Aquanaut's Holiday, with barely any challenge, but I found it ridiculously relaxing, you take photos of fish, you search for treasure... and you shoot them with a spear gun. I didn't really enjoy the hunting, I just liked to explore and visit the sunken ships and take photos.

There is StoryBundle with horror and suspense stories, I'll probably read my first Clive Barker book. I Kickstarted Sleep of Reason, but I never got the eBook, I don't think I got a message from them either. EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. ¬_¬U

Are we supposed to get an email from He for She or something? All you do is tweet about it and it's entirely optional? Weird. It's sad to be my country is far from reaching 1000.

Oooh! Comixology has a Batgirl comic sale. Is there anything worth getting apart form the Gail Simone stuff?

I beat a few short games today: They Breathe: A story about a frog diving into a pond, meeting the most disturbing creatures and trying to not drown. Akane The Kunoichi: Wow, this game is kinda terrible, but at least it's in a funny way? I'm glad I got it in a bundle. P.A.M. or Post Apocalyptic Mayhem: It's an arcade style racer that while it doesn't have a story mode or even a full cup or campaign. Each car has a special power assigned to each button, but I'm sure they all have the Nitro Boost in common. Any game with "Winter Wasteland" level filled with giant presents and a car that throws explosive presents is awesome in my book!

I just beat ZombiU and either I'm easier to scare now or this game is actually tense and scary? It's at least a decent survival horror game, limited resources and you're never overpowered and you'll probably use the cricket bat as you main weapon and it can be almost cruel at some time. I'm pretty sure I died the most to explosive zombies, because it's pretty hard to deal with them if they're too close. I really had a tough time in the ending, a bloody explosive zombie took out the previous survivor and while I tried to find the survivor to get it's gear I somehow ended in the ending area and run ran until the ending. It does the WiiU's gamepad well enough, it's used as a scanner, which can hack, tag enemies to be easier to spot and get if that box has a useful item before risking your life to get to it. My biggest regret is that the game gave me a sniper rifle and you barely have time to use it, also even with the scanner and radar some zombies sneak up on you just for jump scare's sake.

Gail Simone was asking about Gone Home today, as I was able to tell her about the Humble Bundle it's in now. I'm pretty sure Gone Home is the kind of game she'd love. *crosses fingers*

Argh, I'm so jealous you have a copy of Illbleed, it was never released in Europe.

I just beat Max and the Curse of Brotherhood, which I guess is either a sequel or reboot of Max and the Magic Marker. The intro and ending are almost Pixar quality and in this game you can't draw everywhere, limiting to only glowing spots on the floor and each of the spot's color represent a different element, wood, water, fire... This means you can't break the game's physics almost never and you have to think a little more, but only a little more. You have be pretty creative a few times and the few times the game demands you draw in the middle of a jump, the game slows down giving you enough time to crate a vine or platform. Frankly, the biggest flaw in this game is the number of levels. I have no idea why, but the first non-tutorial world has so many levels I had to take a break to not get bored by the game... only to have the rest of the worlds have only two or three levels in them.

Steam has a Warner Bros. sale and the Batman games are cheap... Isn't Blackgate the iOS Batman game? I'm surprised it's here, is Origins worth it? I'm kinda burned out on Batman. And I don't how bad it's going to be, I'm getting the Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes Universe game. >

Tegan, I've played all three versions of Deadly Premonition and I've gotta say the PC is the worst port, it's a shame you missed the PSN sale were it was super cheap. I'm so happy that Costume Quest 2 is coming out on time for Halloween. Isn't it weird that some games are released on the day of Halloween? A movie you can get and watch on Halloween, but a game? Unless it's Costume Quest you'll probably need a week to beat it! I'm glad we have American food stores in my country, so I can order Twizzlers, Candy Corn and more. I hope they Franken Berry or Boo Berry cereal, they aren't that great, but it's nice to have them. Frankly, I also celebrate Halloween all October can call it "Octoberween" and I spend it watching B movies, eating candy and playing scary games. Speaking of movies... Has anybody seen the Spanish version of Dracula from 1931? It's pretty good and worth watching if you want to want a slightly different version of Dracula. Do they actually celebrate Halloween officially in other countries that aren't the US? Here we have Halloween TV specials and some throw Halloween parties, but since we don't Trick or Treat, to me it's almost like we're not celebrating. I guess it's the kind of thing that's hard to start unless everybody agrees about it.

Idle Thumbs 176: The Classic Alien Form
Tanukitsune replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I'm still listening to the podcast as I type this and it's super awesome to hear Anita and the Thumbs crew geeking out on Disney and Harry Potter, if you guys are big Disney or other amusement park nerds, you might want to watch "Some Jerk With A Camera", who more or less reviews amusement rides and episodes of show that take place in amusement parks. I know they've talked before about games that use many Sony motion controller, but my jaw dropped when I heard a game with TWENTY FIVE of them exists. That's probably around 1000$ worth of them unless they are cheaper in the US.
