Frankly, I thought the reusing of levels just make the game feel like it overstay it's welcome, even though the enemies are different. Speaking of which, I HATE that enemies don't attack each other. The blind bug attack me if the hear a pin drop, but a knight in armor klanking about and they don't do anything to them? And that's not the only enemy that should attack others, but doesn't. The game does have annoying bugs and glitches, like how reloading sometimes messes with some guards routes and how it's really hard to simply jump and hang from an edge.

Huh, you too? I was wondering my Steam thought I was Swedish all of the sudden. I don't really see why to comic is mocking GamerGate, it only mentions the year and Thanksgiving. Have people gone so gem crazy it melted Steam?
-
Is it confirmed that this replaces the normal Steam Sale?
-
Steam is doing something pretty weird, you can turn items in your inventory into "gems" and use them to bid on game auctions?

I may have beaten the "best worst" game I've played in ages.... Sinister City. It's so goofy and terrible, it's like watching pugs bake a cake, you know they can't do, but you can't stop watching! You spend most of the game talking with people who after saying a few words will force you to search and do hidden object "puzzles" because gameplay. "Bla bla... I want coffee... yadda yadda... fix the AC... bla bla... install this software..." ad nauseum. We're talking Birdemic awesome here, guys!

Well, I beat "Castlevania": Lords of Shadows 2, but I'm not sure why, for every moment that I almost started to enjoy the game, the game seemed to actively go out of it's way to make me hate it. The cutscenes are super cheesy and the plot is dumb, it has the worst stealth sections, only to be topped by even WORSE stealth section. Get this, you have evade an enemy while walking on very crunchy leaves, once you get passed that section... you fight and kill him. You play as Dracula, but you never feel an ounce as powerful as the so called "Dragon", he can't even double jump. The game over the top gory probably to please the God of War fans? Dracula activate almost everything by bleeding on it. The plot almost has a moment that's neat, but if you stop to think about it, it doesn't really make sense. The ending is as terrible as I expected and I'm happy that this trilogy of Castlevania games is over, I just hope that this isn't the last Castlevania, it might be a terribad God of War clone, but it's the least Castlevania-esque of the series. I'd even take a Castlevania 64 remake over this, even though it's terribleness amused me so much.

I think it's safe to assume it will have the "retro" button to switch and since both versions have voice acting, you could just play the retro mode.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I've been slogging through Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2 for days and I wonder if I should bother continuing. It has dreadful stealth section and it seems to have more cutscenes than fights. The game seems like a mess, I spend more time in an evil pharmaceutical complex than in a castle and it almost feels more like a Resident Evil than anything else. The worst part is that I can only seem to play it for a short while before wanting to give up, I've only reached where I am by playing a bit daily. Does it ever pick up the pace or get better? -
I just finished State of Decay and I enjoyed it a lot, I liked the resource management and scavenging, but the combat is weird. I still have no idea if all the weapons were mostly the same and to get a minimum of target locking you have to be very high leveled. I think I was doing too well actually, I only had one survivor and some leave because I didn't enough materials to keep the house in a good condition only to have a surplus of everything near the end. I even stopped scavenging and only did missions, I had the cop Maya Torres with almost all stats maxed out, tired and wounded, but with enough of everything to not care. I thought I was doomed when I saw the juggernaut zombies and the feral ones, but I not only miraculously survived and completely the game, but the final battle was rather easy. It seemed like the game knew we'd abuse the car and didn't allow you to have one. I had a good time, it was pure chaos!

Playstation Experience is live (Uncharted 4, other video games, maybe even the last guardian... Lol nope)

I don't think it's weird, I like examining the foliage in games and will give them "bonus points" if it's diverse enough. -
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place or it I should tag this as NSFW: So.... pretty. These Barnes and Noble Leatherbound Classics make me wish I lived in the US or that my country had one of these stores....

I don't care if they just port ScummVM and run that on a PS4 and VITA. I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED! Besides, it's already looking amazing:

Yes, my "squee" of joy attracted someone to check on me.... So are they just porting the PC port of FF7 to the PS4 or what? Doesn't it even have "cheevos" and everything? -

I just screamed so much when they announced Day of the Tentacle they checked on me to see what was going on.... -
College Baby, your image appears as a broken link to me.

I'm happy to say I'm on the GG blocklist! HUZZAH! But I'm not sure I know what it means, can I use the #GamerGate hashtag with a little less fear now?

I don't really organize my Steam Library per se, but my unbeaten Steam games that I actually intend to beat are on my desktop. It's a good way to actually see how big your backlog is.

Comixology is having a huge Cyber Monday sale (indie and Action Lab(Princeless) and so is Dark Horse! Dark Horse has EVERYTHING at 50% off!

I just beat Richard & Alice, a short adventure, almost a visual novel with puzzles. Think "To The Moon" but made with AGS. It's a game about two prisoners in a post "snow-pocalypse" world, who tell (and relive through gameplay) how they ended up here, mostly Alice. You control Richard in the jail scenes, and Alice in the flashbacks. I'm not entirely sure, but I think your decisions affect the end a lot. The ending did catch me by surprise. It's not as great as To The Moon, but it's so cheap on Steam right now, it's worth giving it a shot. I can guarantee it's at least better than Always Sometimes Monsters. XP

I've only played a while but I'm loving it, it did annoy me that you had to collect EVERY coin to get credit, even worse I found out too late that you get credit for "ghosting it" and not killing anybody. I think I'll just try to ghost it from now on. I think I killed everybody in the first level... I realized I've called Styx a goblin, but I still don't know if goblins exists in this world and on if he's with the elves or not. I discovered by accident that you can throw sand at guards if they are in the path of a torch and it alerts them to your presence. Does the game eventually get a rock or something to make the guards look the other way?

I just beat Tex Murphy: The Tesla Effect and... now I kinda wished I backed this game instead of the Jane Jensen's one. Most people would agree that Moebius is merely so-so and the Gabriel Knight remake... I couldn't make it though the first conversation. Not only do I wish I KS'd the Tesla Effect, I kinda wish that that I could play the old ones, but I just couldn't deal with the controls and just watched Longplay's of them. Tex is an adorkable loser, closer to Inspector Gadget than to Sherlock, which I why I liked him 100 times more than Gabriel Knight. The puzzles were contained and logical, the "puzzle" puzzles are skippable, and while the story was a bit far-fetched, it was still enjoyable, not to mention it managed to get a chuckle or two out of me. For once, I actually kinda feel bad to have gotten this in a cheap bundle, that's how much I enjoyed it, not to mention it's the first FMV game I've played in ages.

It's funny how Phoenix Studios has become Sierra all of the sudden, they have the Gabriel Knight 20th Anniversary edition, Quest for Infamy, the Silver Lining and Jane Jensen pretty much gets all her games published by them now. Speaking of the Gabriel Knight remake.... I'm not sure I can play it, I remember GB as a guy solving paranormal mysteries, but I'm not sure I can stand him now. I couldn't make it through the first conversation with Grace, he's just.... sleazy? And what bothers me is that game feels like he's not a sleaze ball to laugh at, like LSL, but a sleaze ball we should laugh WITH. Then again, maybe when I eventually play the LSL 1 remake, I'll find out I can't Larry Laffer either.

The Indie Gala Store says you'll get a free copy of This War of Mine if you spend $30 at once.

Woah, has anybody heard of this Styx game on the daily Steam deals? It's stealth game with a... goblin? Sounds good! Also, Spore is super cheap, is it worth it?

I'm hopeful this is the right place to talk about this, since it doesn't seem appropriate for the other subforums. Has anybody here actually given NaNoWriMo a shot? I don't think I'll "win", but I do think it will a great experience, so... does anybody have NaNoWriMo plans or advice? I listen to the "I Should Writing" Podcast because I'm a fan of the creator, so I know a little about writing, as in it doesn't matter if it sucks, don't stop writing and edit later, which seems to sum up the advice I've already read and heard. And now I'm feeling incredibly awkward because this post feels too meager for someone who is supposed to write 50.000 words next month. Verbosity is not my forte, but I guess that's more the reason to give it a shot.
