Well, since it is randomly generated ghosting is not easy, being 2D the best you can do is take them out silently, which like I said before can also be a challenge since it's randomly generated, it's more about preventing them from raising an alarm than "ghosting" it. Tegan, did you play the PC or iOS version of Gunman Clive? I found the iOS had terrible controls that made it harder than necessary, while the PC version is almost easy since I can actually control the character.

I beat CounterSpy a randomly generated stealth espionage game. There is a cold war brewing between "Not Russia" and "Not USA" and you have to steal plans from both sides to stop them from making a big mistake. The DEFCON level for each side is like a life system, if it gets too high... Game Over. You can threaten a high ranking officer to lower the DEFCON level, but it will only do so if he's alone with nobody to protect him. Each level can have either plans you'll need to stop the catastrophe, blueprints for weapons, intel or a part of a formula. With the intel you can buy new weapons, like a stealth shotgun or a gun that shoots darts that make enemies fight for you for a while. The formulas only work for one missions and do things like give you more resistance, make your shots pierce armor and that sort of thing. The stealth works well enough, you can sneak up to enemies, silencers from a cover and you know it's your fault when you mess up. I really enjoyed it!

So... people are upset because they thought Wu meant she was now "OK" with the Stardock guy, when really it's just that in an adult world, you kinda have to do business with people you hate and try to civil?

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I played a bit more of Half-Minute Hero 2 before giving it up for good. I can't why the formula no longer works, but it doesn't... -

I'm probably quitting Half-Minute Hero 2, to me it's become what it was mocking. The first was fine and funny, but pretty quickly this one seems well too grindy and demanding, I'd even say disrespectful of my time which is weird since I've been playing JRPGs lately and this is the only one so far to annoy me. It's not helping that I'm really enjoying the little I'm getting from the characters I'm playing. -
Have you ever wanted to have the guy from Wrecking Crew (definitely not Mario) as a pet? Well, now you can! He'll get sad if he doesn't have anything to wreck and you get coins by wrecking blocks... which you use to purchase things to keep him alive and happy. It seems everybody I know is playing it with fervor.

Wow, I never managed to stress out my Wreckboy!

I just beat Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and while it's a good follow-up to the previous Tales of Symphonia game story-wise... the gameplay is VERY lacking. The game has a pokémon like monster capturing gimmick so you can have monsters battle at your side, except... it's better NOT TO since they can't use items and it's game over if all the humans die even if the monster you have could resurrect you. Not to mention the partner AI and most of the gameplay from the previous game is castrated or gone, you can only control one character at a time and since the game isn't turn based you have to let the AI control the others. You realize how bad the combat is when you want your friend to concentrate their attack on a healer and while you can try, if they are interrupted they will just reset their AI commands. The worst part is the types of AI you can choose, apart from "attack freely" every character seems to have different options and many of them seem useless. But still, I'm glad I made it through.

You can probably still find copies of the DMC HD Collection if it's not available digitally. Although DMC 4 and the remake are the zaniest IMHO.

I just beat Bayonetta 1 & 2 and while playing Bayonetta 1 it hit me how much it was like Devil May Cry, the motorbikes, Jeanne as Virgil, it reached a point I wasn't sure if the game was DMC parody or love letter... And getting to play with Bayonetta dressed as Princess Peach with Bowser's giant paws smash everything made it worth the replay, the only bad part of replaying it was having it fresh in my memory for Bayonetta 2. Bayonetta 1 was like the later DMC games which knew they were crazy weird and became tongue in check... except Bayonetta was more "French Kiss in cheek" if that makes any sense, Bayonetta 2 was... like an older DMC, it either didn't know what made it so unique or simply didn't dare to go there. It copies DMC instead of homaging it/parodying it. "Let's add collectible thingies for health upgrade and made them look nearly the same as DMC! Also, let's add those arenas where you fight to get them!", "Let's make the weapons even more like DMC!" In other words everything is more like DMC or in some case just like Bayonetta 1, it's like they had no idea of what to do, the Afterburner stage felt like ti was there only because Bayonetta 1 had a Space Harrier level. I'd describe the game as a good ice cream scoop, that only looks plain because the last one had so many toppings and sprinkles. It's great, but you miss the sprinkles.

Ranko's Longest Day What on Earth did I just play? At first it starts as a runner with some plot, you attack enemies to be able to attack what's chasing you and try to reach the end....at that's when it gets weird... WEIRDER, to be exact. The cutscenes change artists and the plot and sometimes even the gameplay changes. The enemies explode in several artistic ways and cause chain reactions, platforms to appear and other things that affect the gameplay. You start as a girl with sniper violin and as the game progresses, she's seem the most normal character around, even she looks dumbfounded by what happens in the game. The game is short and arcade-y and comes with some great animated shorts. Combined they are definitely worth getting... if you like anime at least.

Huh, I just came here after reading the tweet everybody is posting... It's rather sad to see The Escapist become a GamerGate friendly site. Then again, did anybody here even go to site for anything but the video content? I only went there for LRR at first. :\

Many people just type "GG" to avoid being hassled by GamerGaters, I'm reluctant to type it fully out of the forum myself. : (

Damn it, but computers have become really complicated

I have 8G of RAM and don't torrent. Would having an overly large PC tower case make it more susceptible to vibrations? -
Comixology is having a "Buy One Marvel Comic, Get One Free" and I think is the best chance for me to get Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl!

Oh dear.... When I booted this time, I heard something I dreaded, a clicking hard drive. This is annoying, I've replaced it at least twice. Could there be anything that could cause a hard drive to fail faster? Like I said, I'd rather buy a new PC than buy another HDD, specially since they seem to last so little for some reason. -
Finding out someone's account has disappeared is quite distressing, but finding out they are literally hunting her down? Yikes! D:

I just beat two visual novels that were actually non-interactive, so it's almost like two books? Shan Gui is a Chinese visual novel about a girl travelling down memory visiting a mountain she visited a lot as a child, she makes a new friend, and well, it's a short but delightful story. World End Economica Episode 1 is a visual novel from the author of Spice and Wolf (which I haven't read or watched, but I might watch now?), it's about a kid that has run away from home, in a futuristic Moon, trying to fulfil his dream to be the first to set foot a land untouched by humans, and for that... he deals with the stock exchange market. As a runaway, he ends up living in a church with a another runaway who teaches math to other kids. Frankly, the plot is rather long, it was 15 hours of nothing but text, and I even skipped a bit when it nothing but talk about the stock market, but the store engrossed me until the end... I really want to read the next episode!

I only have a license for Windows instead of a installation disk. -

Lately, my PC is almost refusing to boot, and not in the end when Windows is loading all it's programs, but right after the BIOS screen, at the small Windows animation. It's happened before and I've replaced all my hard drives and done all the maintenance I can think of... I am this close to simply just buying a new desktop, frankly, if I have to spend another cent on replacing something I will just buy a new PC. -
I spent some time checking the Scribd comic selection and counting the ones that look so bad they must be awesome and they legit good ones... I don't think I'll have time to read them all in the free month! They have Silent Hill comics, TokyoPop, Heavy Metal... Many series only have one issue and it's not even the first one, but I might actually stay for more than the free trial if this keeps up!

I just beat Teslagrad a "Metroidvania" with a magnet polarity gimmick. It's a pretty fine game with increasingly infuriating bosses, where you die with ohit and there are no checkpoints. it also forces you to collect meaningless collectables to open a final gate... I still enjoyed it. :\

It's that what LEGO games are all about? I just beat Tales of Symphonia, which in plot points is so formulaic it's staggering and yet... the characters personalities and the way the approach the tropes does make it feel fresh. And yet again, another JRPG that is more respectful of my time than an "AAA" game, I never really had to stop to grind and the 40 hours it took to beat the game was mostly a good plot and well designed dungeon.

How much of a terrible idea is getting the pigeon pillowcase? .

I've been a few days on Scribd and I'm...lukewarm about it? I feel like I might be able to read all the content that's worth in the free trial month and I'm not sure how much new content it will get? So far I've managed to read a lot Captain Marvel with is pretty good.
