I just beat Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System for the PS2 and wow, was it a blast! The game was full of tiny details like Glitch's antenna wobbling as he walks and robots acting differently as they get damaged. It did have an exasperating turret section and unnecessary vehicle levels, but they were still enjoyable compared to modern games. It was weird that almost every bad robot was voiced by Rob Paulsen howling like a monkey, but not as weird as them farting. The game also has section were you must hijack the enemy bots and when you managed to sneak up and hack a big one... boy does it feel rewarding. I had a very stupid moment in the game where it got ridiculously hard since I had to fight several big shielded robots... Only to find out that I was supposed to simply enter the area without any weapons drawn. Oops.

I think I may have asked how Shin Megami Tensei IV was before at the last price drop, but now it's even cheaper than the last time. Is it like Persona?

That's the thing, we kinda don't have genderless pronouns. You can identify as genderless or asexual and still fall in love and be romantic, you just aren't attracted sexually? You can be asexual without being genderless, but I don't think you can be genderless and not asexual, gender implies sexual attraction? I'm beginning to think that genderlessness and asexuality is just a too novel concept, I mean, from I'm hearing you're actually surprised and pleased to see lesbians in your cartoons, while I've been seeing them in out cartoon since the 90's thanks to anime on our TV. So yeah, I guess that if people are still shocked to see a lesbian romance on TV, we are still pretty far away from the rest of the LGBT spectrum. I keep forgetting that in America they censored anime so that lesbians become "cousins"... And frankly, it guess it doesn't really matter what the Gems are, either way, it IS a big step forward.

I think you guys are reading this in the complete opposite way I intended it... Asexueals are LBGT too and have ZERO representation, so it is kinda frustrating to see an asexual romance turned into a lesbian one. I'm pretty sure some poor kid who identifies as asexual is crushed to hear everybody insist they are actually lesbians. I'm not sure if I'm simply looking for nomanclature that doesn't even exist yet? I mean, people can't even decide what's the proper genderless pronoun. An asexual couple would be called "in an asexual relationship", right? I've seen lesbians in cartoons since I was young since I was raised with anime, but asexuals? This would have been a first, which is why I'm kind frustrated. So, yeah, I'm mostly upset because the first asexual couple I knew of is now just another lesbian couple.

I don't what to think of the Steven Universe fandom now. The Crystal Gems are genderless creatures, this has been said by the creators, but the fans are literally shoving genders on them just to have "space lesbians". Isn't shoving genders on genderless creatures the definition of sexualization and pretty much VERY anti-LGBT? Haven't they ever heard of asexual romance? Or am I just being nitpicking with the nomenclature? :\

From what I remember it's a weird stealth horror game? You had to spy on the guests to learn secrets and clues and then try to retrieve some item from them? Some guests are aggressive and attack, while others are not or will just bother you a bit or steal from you. I remember keeping a timetable to know where everybody was at each time, but I think that was in game?

The 3DS still sells faceplates I think. Does anybody know any tips on when it's the disc that's actually not being readable? The used game store where I bought them has some CD polisher/sandpaper like thing that seems a bit extreme. It sucks that are the two Series 2000 games that I miraculously found by chance.

You mean like Sailor Business? I've watched about 10 episodes of Pretty Cure and while I like it, it's too vanilla? I feel like it's a "literally" a kid's show, nobody dies, nobody gets hurt physically or emotionally, even the bad guys don't really die when they are destroyed. While I don't want to see decapitation and traumatic experiences, I want something with more flavor that plain vanilla, even if it's good vanilla. Could it at least be funnier? :\

For every game Europe gets, there is 100 we don't and will never get. XP EDIT: Aslo, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is RIDICULOUSLY FUN AND AMAZING!

Good news: My PS2 is working. Bad news, the controller isn't... I guess I could try to fix it and if not get a new or used one? EDIT: I found an extra controller and it works fine! Huzzah! Now I can finally play Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System!

Ok, I'll see if I have one or get one. I really hope it's something this simple, it was working fine the last time I used it and it is stored in a dusty place.

Has anybody seen this Squeenix Easter Bundle yet? What was in the last few ones? I guess you'll at least get one FF game in the bundle and maybe some Tomb Raider and Thief? I'm tempted to get just to see if I get Life Is Strange.

Stop what you're doing right now and read this comic about a girl falling in love with an animatronic Karl Marx!

Oddly enough, that's the show I just gave a shot. I've only watched one episode but it is giving me the same vibe as Sailor Moon so far... Also the villain is called PISSARD and looks like David Bowie:
-
I'm way "a-head" of you, I already saw it... T^T I need something adorkable, something with less... "bite".
-
It's 200 episodes, you have a long way to go... Not to mention the OVAs, which I'm not sure Hulu will get, the musicals, the real life show... JOIN US! JOIN US!

I just saw the final FINAL episode of Sailor Moon.... I am big dumb cry baby like Usagi... Who will fill the Usagi shaped hole in my kokoro? T^T Seriously, I need more magical girls or big dumb PRECIOUS BABIES like Usagi to will the void.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

Superfrog HD is a port of old Amiga game... this is how Amiga platformers were. XP -
I recently got El Shaddai used for cheap and... was rather disappointed. Sure, the visuals were amazing... for a few levels, but the combat, the platforming, the plot, it's all a mess. The game has platforming that's unnecessary, since it's more frustrating that rewarding, the combat is rather minimal in depth and in general, each chapter is only a few "lazy lockdown arenas" with unnecessary plataforming in between. The bosses weren't that creative or rewarding either, you have to might bosses several times and you never know if it's the time that actually counts or not, sometimes you loses rapidly and they let you live, sometimes they run away, sometimes they change into another form, it's a mess. I guess that sums up the game? It's mess, that's pretty sometimes.

Oh God..... Watamote, I identified with the show more that I'm comfortable to admit.... The only anime I've been watching (or re-watching) is Sailor Moon and it still gives me the feels. Since I watched it in Europe, I got the LGBT friendly version, I might have been too young or stupid to understand the LGBT elements, but they planted the seed so I would in understand it easier later. Anyway, since I'm reaching the end, I'm wondering... has anybody seen Pretty Cure? I've heard it's a magical girl show.... but for a male audience? That kinds worries me. Is it any good? Also, what is that anime with with magical boys? Is it obvious that I need some magical girls to fill the upcoming void? XP

I got a bunch of games and I still have some credit left on my US PSN account, are these flash deals frequent enough, or should I just buy some PSOne Classic?
-
I don't know if it would be offensive to call it YouTube fodder, but to me it's the kind of game to watch others play. I do enjoy the lore and such, it's breeding a lot of good creepypastas?

Jeff LEGOldblum a.k.a. LEGO Jurassic World
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
Oh, right. I'm pretty sure the LEGO movie game is the pinnacle of their games and some of the bigger franchises are almost annoying to complete, but not play, they have so many characters and extra missions it can feel tedious. But I doubt Jurassic Park cast will be as big as the Marvel Universe, even if they add a ton of dinosaurs. -
I was about to whine on how the EU PSN store doesn't have PSN sales, but... I could just get an US PSN store points card and buy a bunch of PSOne Classics to play on the PSP/Vita. XP

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I really hate to say this, but I'm pretty sure I'm quitting Kid Icarus: Uprising, frankly, I don't think anything about it. I LOATHE the controls and I refuse to buy a "Circle Pad" for just one game, I also doubt it would solve most of the issues I have with the controls. I now know why so many games have a separate button for dashing or make you move the controller twice in one direction to dash, because dashing with ONE tilt of the controller is infuriating. A simple thin path is a nightmare if I have to fight on it, because it's too easy to dash off it by mistake. Every stage starts with an on rails shooter, which you'd think I'd enjoy, but it fails to capture the fun and feel of an on-rails shooter and feels more like an overly long shooting gallery mini-game. The other stage is a more normal stage with controls I just can't stand. I feel like I'm "slogging" it, so many stages feel like filler, I can't believe I'm only 1/3rd through the game, I've been playing it on and off because playing too many stages a day bores me. And just typing out how I'm feeling about the game is making me realize even more that I really do NOT like this game. I just didn't want to admit it.
