  1. Plug me with indie goodness!

Although I consider myself a fan of indie game, but I've realized that lately I've been missing SOOOO much! I guess I should follow better indie blogs since I seen so misinformed! I only learned that Dave Gilbert was making games a few hours ago and with John Green even! To prevent a lot of "Oh, I already have that" I'll list the indie games I have: -Aquaria! -Ben There, Dan That -Darwinina -World of Goo -Gish -Wonderful End of the World:tmeh: I'm sure I have more but I can't remember them, and I intend to try out the Blackwell and Nouti Love games soon! Plug me! I need mah fix!
  2. Plug me with indie goodness!

Thanks, guys! Between Bytejacker, TIGsource (when it's back) and your recommendations I have quite a plateful now, but that doesn't mean you should stop pluggin'!
  3. Plug me with indie goodness!

Is the Shivan game harder if you don't know anything about the Jewish religion?
  4. Plug me with indie goodness!

I assume "masocore" are hardcore gamers that play games that are super frustrating?
  5. Plug me with indie goodness!

I guess anything not made by a well known company would be indie-ish enough for me? Although stuff like the Penny Arcade or Strong Bad games are hard to not know about...
  6. A Vampyre Story

I've been waiting for this game for so long... and I now I hear the game is riddled with puzzles that don't make sense? I'm still going to try the demo... Looks like I'll have to stick with Telltale as they don't have puzzles where the puzzles are logical, which exactly the problem I assume the "hardcore" adventure gamers have with them? Every is more or less logical and can figure out with out too much difficulty that you have to put a paper under the door and poke the key out with something thin, but of course, the "hardcore" gamer want a real challenge, so they want a puzzle that doesn't make sense, like groping a penguin in a top hat while farting a tune... EDIT: The puzzles weren't as daft as I thought they would be... I thought it would be Gabriel Knight 3 bad! (Remember the stache thing?) My only complain is the shortness, I didn't get a good taste of the game!
  7. Little BIG Planet

Now that I finally got and beaten the game, I can play the online stuff! Are they still modding copyrighted levels? I played a Batman level, a Gradius one, the ICO one, a Sonic one... I wanted to create a level myself, but the tutorials took up all my free time!
  8. World of Goo

Pirates don't give a damn and they never will unfortunately... But what the piracy rate of other games? Do we know it?
  9. Little BIG Planet

I have the girl from Heavenly Sword code.
  10. U R Left 4 Dead

I just tried the public demo and while I love the teamwork aspect and I love killing zombies I don't see the whole "OMG! OMG! BEST GAME EVA!" in it... It's exciting to save and be saved by your teammates, but I don't see why people keep saying this will be better than Dead Rising?
  11. Little BIG Planet

Does anybody know if the costume codes expire? My copy continues to NOT arrive, and I fear I might miss out on some freebies!
  12. Little BIG Planet

Aren't the respawns limited? I heard that the final levels are quite hard because of this...
  13. Little BIG Planet

Apparently all the cool levels are being deleted... And my copy STILL isn't here!
  14. Fallout 3

I think someone mentioned before that the Steam version doesn't have Securom?
  15. Fallout 3

I just beat it too, if I weren't in the middle of an RPG Overload and in the mood for "blue sky games" I'd probably play more, but I guess I'll get back to it after all, you do get the best equipment near the end of the game!
  16. Fallout 3

How long is it? Do you think I'll beat it this weekend? I want to beat it this weekend because my copy of LBP should arrive next week!
  17. Fallout 3

I think it might be the later rebooting and closing Steam didn't work... I wanted to try the demo after listening to the podcast but apparently you have to buy the game to get the demo early!
  18. Fallout 3

Well now for some strange reason Steam won't let me play anything that isn't a demo, if I try to play anything else it says my Steam ticket expired or that the servers are busy...
  19. Fallout 3

Since I have to go back to Megatown to sell my stuff often, I just rest at my home while I'm there.. I've yet to repair something myself, I just pay the gal at the store in Megaton for that! I guess I'm not even halfway through so I guess I'll have time for all this?
  20. Fallout 3

How does the alcoholic thing work? Do I lose health if I don't drink every once in a while? And how much do I gain anyway? I generally sell armor and weapons I don't need and keep the "junk" in my house to build weapons... I've yet to build one yet, but I just got to Rivet city! Are Stimpack the best healing items out there? It would be nice to have something that heals more HP!
  21. Fallout 3

Nope, I had played a little before discovering that and when I logged in it didn't let me access my saved games..
  22. Fallout 3

I've finally gotten a copy of it and... I'm surpised you can get achievements on a PC game, is this the first game to do this? I agree with the whole it's Oblivion with guns thing, except I wish it was more like Oblivion since you lack magic to heal you or make you carry more stuff... I'm fed up of going back to a town after each battle to sell all the stuff I have because I can't carry more, just to see I have to wait three days for the money to regenerate! The game is also very harsh and much harder than Oblivion!
  23. Game Genre Overload?

It's happened to me quite a few times, and I was wondering if I'm the only one who has suffered it? Game Genre Overload is what I call when you play too many games in the same genre and all of the sudden you just can't play that genre for a while... The first time I remember this happening to me was when I tried to beat all those adventure games I've never beaten... I almost hated adventure games after that ordeal and couldn't enjoy them again until Telltale game around! The latest case is RPG overlord, which happened to me after playing the extra awesome Lost Odyssey, and after that it seemed that all I had was RPGs! But I noticed that it's not only playing games of the same genre which cause this, I'm beginning to think the biggest factor is the quality of the game, when you get Game Genre Overload you get very nitpicky and you end up disliking games you'd probably wouldn't complain about if you weren't "overloaded"... During this RPG Overload I discovered I never liked SRPGs to begin with and once I gave up on Enchanted arms and moved onto Blue Dragon I felt much better, I could probably even play Fallout 3 or Fable 2 now even! Does this make it a blessing or a curse? On one side I'm quiting games I probably would have forced myself to finish otherwise, but am I giving up on a game that I'd enjoy if I weren't overloaded?
  24. Game Genre Overload?

Well, it sounds like you might have FPS overload? It might help to play something quite different? It always works for me!
  25. Blue sky in games?

If must be the colder weather, but lately I crave "warm" games, as in cute and colorful, and as in "stopped being popular in the 80's" games.... It's weird that I crave light and color so close to the darkest holiday, but let's face it, 99% of games today are mud colored gorefests! Not that I hate them, but I'm not in the mood for them... Not even Fallout 3! I have to wait for Little Big Planet, Sonic, Banjo & Kazooie... but at least I have happy games in the future, but what do I play now? I actually ordered one of the Crash Bandicoot games, since I liked the demo and if I like it I'll probably get the new one? I might even give Spyro a chance if they bother with a demo! I hated the flying stages... But.. there has to be more out there than this, right? Are there any PSN or XBLA games I may have missed that are "warm"? Some indie game? Anything at all?
