Where did you order it? Most online shops will send you a new copy if it doesn't arrive after a certain number of days...

Isn't there a postal strike in England?
-
Funny I could swear it didn't work before... then again many spells seems unresponsive... I'm hoping it's because I'm watching "Halloweeny" movies on DVD and that's hogging up the resources...

How on Earth do you unsummon the Golem!? I just got the new one and I want to try it out!

I finally beat the game and played online (I got 6 degrees of Schafer even!)... But online sucks... I blame in their servers though... I kept losing connection every 5 minutes! As for the game... They really need to make a better map... I was lucky enough to get all the dragon thingies, but I missed a jump and buried metal... The doesn't have to tell me where they are, but it should tell me what I've already done! Imagine the poor bastard who is missing ONE dragon serpent thing and has to go ALL around the land going over each of them until he find the one he missed! As for the story.... To sum it up, the game was great even though the ending confuzzled me... It make me appreciate Metal more, there was only one song I didn't like... (Not including the one that they sing at the begging), Schafer once again managed to create a unique and new world to explore, where the map needed a bit of more work, I only wish you can't the difficulty on different things... The only thing that gave me trouble in the game was playing music... I didn't get the hang of the Fan Tribute until the final battle! Fortunately on Gentle you can miss 50% of the notes as long as they aren't in a row and you can still get the song right! I really wanted to try the strategy on a higher level of difficulty, the only battle that game me trouble was the antepenultimate one, but only because the game doesn't bother to explain which troops are good against others and the new troop I encounters seems to kill ALL of my troops with ease, except for bolt car one... I know most of this must have been discussed before, but... I can't help to wonder how much did Jack Black influence in the game.. I wonder if him or Scafer are not 100% satisfied with the game... The closest thing I've played to an RTS is Pikmin or Overlord, so Brutal Legend seemed like the perfect step stone to go into PC RTS games? Anyway, I'll shut up now...
-
GASP! So Brutal Legend is about Elvis? I kinda wish you could choose the difficulty of different aspects and not on the whole game in general.... I'm playing on "gentle" and I've only died by falling off a cliff, but I have to play on this mode since it's so generous with the music playing.... I can do the other songs fine, but the fan one? It took me a while to realize that on gentle it's better to miss a button than to hit the wrong one... I think I only got half of the notes right once and I still got the Merch thing built! Still I think it's perfect since I'm trying to get into RTS, this a step about Pikmin and Overload, but a step below... which ever is the next step? I did wish the map told you what you've already found so you can atleast who where not to look for jumps or relics...
-
In Brutal Legend I guy who hates your guts is racing you says it... In Full Throttle, the bad guys says it when you defeat them... That doesn't sound like a good time to yell "PARTY!" to me!
-
Can someone please tell me what "clambake" means? This is the second Schafer game I've seen a character say it! Slang dictionary says it's about getting high, but... that doesn't make sense in the context it was said (driving, racing).
-
Is it available to download yet? It kinds sucks since my copy of Brutal Legend finally arrived and I such at juggling games...
-
Am I the only one who is still waiting for their copy to arrive? PS: When you post spoilers the email notification shows them even if you "covered" them ...

Picking a starter might not be that easy... I'm pretty sure Serious Sam was the one who got me into FPS games, but... It's mostly about shooting at enemies that rush at you, in most FPS games now playing it like Serious Sam game will get you killed... I'm still trying to get used to getting out of the line of fire of fire instead of standing in the middle of the hallway trying to mow down the enemies... Basically, it doesn't teach the minimum of strategy that's needed for FPS games today?

This is awesome and terrible news... It's an awesome apocalypse? Anyway, congrats Nick! I don't think anything will happen to the forums, they've existed may before the word podcast even existed! Damn... One of my favorite gaming podcasts will be gone forever soon...

For an RPG, 10-20 hours is really short! Some might even say too short! But it's more than enough for me! XP

Hook Champ is awesome retro style game for the iPhone, in which you're an adventurer that must escape a temple with an idol by using your hook while avoiding a monster chasing you. The game has upgrades like a longer rope, a quicker hook, rocket boots... Which you will need to upgrade for the later levels. It has funny hats, which is what appears in the leaderboard next to your score, playing with a top hat is still pretty cool though! There is a lite version if you want to try it out!

I've had this HD monitor since I've had my 360, and it's been giving me trouble since I got it, but not too much trouble, it's just that sometimes the computer can't tell it has 16:10 resolution and won't let me use 1680*1050... I was usually able to fix it by messing with the resolutions until the latest update for the graphic card... After getting through the usual "YES! I've updated the drivers" and all that nonsense, they finally suggested that I should get a DVI cable... Which "kinda" worked.... I know have a completely different problem! If I have only the DVI cable plugged in the monitor tells me to plug in a cable, but if I insert both it just thinks it second monitor and it appears like an empty screen (I only see the wallpaper) and I've yet to figure out how to ONLY have DVI... Has anybody got any advice on this subject?
-
It seems I can only mess with the dual monitor setting when there is a second monitor, or in this case the same monitor twice. I have a Samsung Syncmaster 225MW connected to ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro... I'm wondering I should be contact Samsung and not only ATI for a solution?
-
It seems to detect it, since I hear the sound effect Windows makes when some new hardware being plugged in. Do you really think that turning it off and turning it on with only the DVI plugged it would work? EDIT: Nope... It didn't work at al!
-
My monitor doesn't seem to have new drivers, I checked it still says 1.00. What I did was unplug the VGA cable and plug the DVI one, and then plug both since the screen was black with an error message telling me to plug in a cable.

Why some guy I know is going to pirate CoD 6 (and why I hate the average gamer)

Actually I was born in Canada, but I left when I was little... It's just when I hear people saying "games are luxury items", I hear "I'm willing to pay 200$ for a game".... -

You do know you could really just survive with a rock and live in cave, right? The definition of luxury item are extremely high quality items that are WORTH the price (or atleast worth more than normal items), Häagen-Dazs is better than the average brand, Ferrari is better than the average brand... Entertainment will never be a luxury item, you can have a luxury entertainment experience with an expensive system, but it rarely reaches the high standard of a luxury item.... Something of varying quality cannot be luxurious! -

Piracy is a douchy thing, but raising the price is too... Didn't the CEO of Activision say he'd rise the prices even more if he could? Games are a luxury item? I've never heard of people buying NEW Armani suits or Mercedes at 20% of their original price... The 360 IS NOT a luxury item, a luxury item wouldn't break that often... And what about shovelware? Games cost more during the NES, SNES era too... How exactly are they luxury items? I wouldn't even consider an iPhone a luxury item since it's practically made in a way that will force you to buy a new one in two or three years... Luxury items last MUCH longer! -
I probably have about 40+ RPGs in my backlog alone and I'm still getting it! An RPG that can be beat so quickly sound like heaven to me!
-
Actually, I don't play MMOs becuase I have a backlog of RPGs and I don't play games that don't end... XP
-
Yeah, they probably want people to get hooked so they'd buy the MMO version... Too bad I'm NEVER buying an MMO!
-
Aw man! There's a sale on Play and I can't choose what to get!
Tanukitsune posted a topic in Video Gaming
How come there is always a sale the moment my backlog clears up a bit there's some mad sale? Mirror's Edge is ridiculously cheap... I played the demo and loved the jumping... but hated the combat.... Farcry 2 is also very cheap and everybody keeps saying it's awesome, yet very frustrating... Condemned.... Is it worth a shot? There are other games, but I'm so going to get them no matter what anybody says!
