The games that interest and that I can actually run on my PC are: -Zombie Shooter 2 -The Void -POP: Two Thrones, it's only only of the previous sage I don't own... is it worth it? -Gothic 3: I have Gothic 2 unplayed... and Risen is on it's way... I don't like buying a game that's part of the saga when I don't know if I like the series... :| I would get Princess Bounty, but I'm sure the price will drop again before I even finish King's Bounty...

As a backlogger I must scream in terror and hide under the bed.... I was so close... I could have got my backlog under 70 by the end of the year...

How far are you in the game? The pan flute songs get super annoying near the end.. XP -
Legend of Zelda:Spirit Tracks or ******there's a train?
Tanukitsune replied to Sleepdance's topic in Video Gaming
I don't know I can say if this is the worst Zelda game ever, but it is the one that annoyed me the most.... -The train is just an excuse to not have a real overworld, at least the boat games had an overworld even if it was 90% water, also those bomb trains! Sometimes I think the DS can't handle a real 3D Zelda game and that's why they all have "fake" overworlds... -Touch controls.... -Pan flute, it's broken, I spent half an hour in one of the final songs, and I finally got it "right" when I CLEARLY only hit ONE of the six notes! -Train parts are useless! I spent my best treasure to get the most expensive cannon.... It only gave me an extra heart, which you don't even need! -The treasure you get for beating the 3rd level in the tower minigame in the main town? It was something I could buy in the store next door! Did I tell this is a minigame where you fight tons of enemies and all the bosses plus a secret one... WITHOUT HEALING? -Zelda's AI is terrible.... If you call her and there is something there is two paths, one safe and one not safe, guess which one she'll chose? Also I can't get her to drop items... -The sidequests are all obviously train based, driving people to other towns, bringing people items from other towns... they are just boring fetch quests... The good thing? It's probably the Zelda game with the funniest moments! I don't know if I just have a bit of a Nintendo fanboy in me that's trying to find excuses to not openly say I think it sucked and this is coming from someone who liked Sonic 2006! I keep making excuses.... My grandfather did die the day I bought Phantom Hourglass, so that game was ruined for ever for me, so a part of me is afraid Zelda is ruined for ever.... Also, Nintendo didn't warm me that I was about to lose TEN THOUSAND STAR POINTS! Do you know how much time it takes to get that many? AGES! I almost had enough for that dumb Zelda statue... Was it really that bad? Am I making excuses? Am I just unlucky and they just happened to have everything that annoys me and everybody else loves? A part of me refuses to say a Zelda game sucked and another part of me is thinking of never buying a DS Zelda game ever again... Oh yeah, the ending is kinda disappointing too... -
I've already beaten the game and I can say one prediction is wrong and the other SEEMS to be wrong.... Would it be a spoiler to say that the ending makes a sequel possible?
-
I had a GP32 and I got bored of it pretty quick.... But this does interest me a bit...
-
Ooooh! Okay... I'm not the kind of person who could ever find anything so cute it's obnoxious, but I get what you mean! ;
-
Are you seriously saying you're thinking of not buying a game because it's too "cute"? All games looked rather cute back in the day of 2D gaming, game only got "uncute and manly" when the PSOne came out! Mega Man, Sonic, Mario, Link, Commander Keen and so many others were adorable and still are today... But now it's unmanly to admit it so we convince ourselves they aren't... *goes back to unicorn tea party*

I guess I am being pedantic, but I hate it when people say something is terrible and describe something that seems merely bad or just not very good instead... that's what I have issues with! That's all I'm saying... I'm sorry if that offends people, but I just can't help to react that way....
-
And I've already said how I reply to comments like that... It's fantastic and terrible at the same time, like I said people are so used to top quality games that games that simply good look terrible to them... As much as I hate the scoring system, anything below a 7 is considered terrible nowadays... Game companies that made good games are closing because these new pampered gamers won't bother playing anything that isn't perfect, and they seem HAPPY to hear they are closing because "Their games are sh*t!" I swear to God, one of these days games will have to come with invisible ninja hookers for the gamers who say a game is terrible unless they orgasm for real playing it and are actually serious...
-
You said it was bad, Toblix said it was crap, I'll accept it could be bad, but crap... I'll accept bad, I'm the kind of gamer who thinks you have to know the whole spectrum of quality to appreciate it... Or at least be mildly aware of lower spectrum... I don't think I've played that many bad games, but I have played games that are THAT BAD, that I can't help to feel some gamers are too pampered and whine because the "game sundae" doesn't have a cherry or sprinkles on it... You should play good games, but the quality bar has risen so much lately, it's hard for some people to see what a "good but not awesome" game is...
-
Like I said, I just don't like people saying a game is awful unless it's Action 52 bad, the only games that's THAT bad on Steam was actually removed.... I don't remember the demo that well, but I think I found some of the notes left by the grandma creepy?
-
Please don't say things like that... you sound like those spoiled kids who can only tolerate quintuple A titles... I've only played the demo, and I don't see why people think it's that bad.. I can't help to react this way when people say a game is terrible, they usually have never played a truly awful game and so spoiled that they can't handle anything that isn't perfect.... As a backlogger I've played games AVGN bad... Heck! I've played games he's reviewed... I KNOW bad! It may have a lower quality than other LucasArts games, but that doesn't it make it terrible... And... I'm derailing the thread.... Sorry, that was a sensitive topic for me... Oh, right! Play.com is having a Monday sale! I just got the 360 version of games I couldn't play on Steam for the same price or less!

Can you trust the "Can You Run It?" site?

I'll probably buy one next year, I don't know whether to get a normal one or get a better one so it will last me longer... -

It was in the middle point... Until I save up enough for a good graphic card, I'm only buying indie or older PC games.... Or games from Valve... Then again Dreamkiller is kinda indie and has the most ridiculous requirements ever... -

According to Steams requirements Batman can run on a ATI 1300, mine is a 2400 HD and it runs slow and molasses... And it specificay says that Dead Space won't work with an ATI 2400, because it's 256, although the Pro is 512... I wasn't going to risk it... -
Huh? I didn't see the Ghostbusters game before! Man... I no longer trust "Can I Play It?"... Without a demo, I'm not going to buy it... Trine is awesome... GET IT NOW!
-
I think it's because it's Saturday, most people are at home, or maybe a bit of both? My backlog just had a sigh of relief when it saw nothing interesting in this batch that I didn't have... well... I do want Borderlands, but it's not cheap enough for me and I'd probably need to buy a new graphic card to play it anyway...
-
Is it me or is Steam "dead" from overload? It looks like everybody was there at the same time and... BOOM! Hopefully it will be back soon!
-
I'm going to see how well the Mini Ninja Demo runs before getting it, but I'm surprised the console version has yet to drop in price! I'll probably get Dead Space... is the PC version controlled with the mouse and keyboard? Majesty 2 is tempting me too, but I also suck at strategy games... the only strategy game I've beaten without cheating is Robocalypse.... Does Darwinia count? I'll probably try the demo too... EDIT: OK.... I no longer trust the "Can You Run It?" site.... it says I meet the requirements easily, yet Steam says I can't even play it.... Also... The Mini Ninjas won't work with my gamepad, so... Nothing for me today! I guess I should start saving for a new graphic card after all! XD
-
I don't I will get Batman: AA, it's running kinda slow on the medium setting, so I'll just wait for the console price to drop and then choose whether to get 360 or PS3 version.... Then again, I could start saving for a new graphic card? The "Can you run it?" site says I can also run Dragon Age: Origins, but if it's mean I have to run it so low it looks like an early PS2 game I'm going to pass... But I'm so getting Osmos, it looks anything else that could interest me I've already gotten from other sales or they were dirt cheap to begin with...
-
According to that site that tells me if I can run it or not, my PC is near the middle... I guess that's good enough? The difference is only 10€, but I could just wait till the console version drops again? It seems that the only games that never get a price drop are the Nintendo ones, every other games eventually reaches the 20€ range.... My main concern is my backlog, this damn iPhone sale has gotten almost back to 100 and I promised myself not to every let them happen again!
-
Touch Arcade is a good place to keep track of iPhone sales, but I actually searched for the companies at the App Store, it's much quicker! Steam lets you do that? I could swear I actually asked them once and they said no? I'm still debating whether to get the PC version of Batman: AA or the PS3 one... the PS3 one has the Joker missions, but doesn't the PC one have mods? I heard there is one that makes it like the Adam West show? If that is true I'm SOOO getting! That sounds almost as awesome as "Kid mode" in Serious Sam HD!
-
ARGH! It figures that everybody would have a mad sale just when my backlog started to get under control! If you happen to have an iPhone... EA, Konami, Namco and Gameloft are having either 99c or 50% sales.... Batman:Arkham Asylum seems to be the right price, but... Should I wait for the PS3 version to drop? Are the DLC Joker things that worth it? I'll probably get Osmos, I can't get the Lucasart pack since I already own half of the games there and Dragon Age is still to high.... not to mention I have 40+ RPGs in my backlog, I don't have time for another! OW! My backlog is acting up pretty bad now... And I'm pretty sure it's going to get worse before the sale ends...
