You're going to laugh at one of the last anime I watched... I saw a clip of Eiken and thought that it was so ludicrous it just HAD to be mocking all these fanservicey animes out there... I mean, it has a 10 year girl with breasts the size of Godzilla... How could it be for real, right?.... RIGHT? I watched the whole show with the delusion that it was mocking fanservice and for that reason I found it kinda awesome, but then I found out it was for REAL... I know feel like I was a B series movies and laughed at the bad gore effects.... only to find out it was a snuff film... And you want to know what show I saw after that? IKKI TOUSEN! I was hankering for a new brawler and the Ikki Tousen one for PSP was the only one I hadn't played yet (that I know of), so I watched the show to know who the people were in it while I wait for the game to arrive from Japan... OH GOD JAPAN! This time I wasn't under any delusions, I knew it was going to be fanservicey, but WOW! THE SHOW HAD A GODDAMN RAPE SCENE! The rest of the show is "DERP DERP PANTY SHOT DERP DERP BOOBS!" it's stupid in a amusing way.... Fortunately I've started to watch Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, which is actually good and fun! And since it's pretty old, even if does have fanservice, it won't be shoving panties down my throat... Do they make modern anime WITHOUT fanservice, right? No maids, no girls with eye patches, no maids with eye patches? PS: What do you guys think of Panty & Stocking? I love how it has the best visual pun ever that translates to ALL languages... Panty turns her panties into a gun.... LITERAL PANTY SHOTS! XD It's odd how it doesn't feel as dirty and wrong as other anime even though Panty is having sex every five seconds...

Listen, I agree on the fact that you can't blame a person for being perceived as a jerk for acting like one online, but the point is... THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S TRUE! I don't think Angry Joe is as angry as he is on his show, I've met cartoonists in person who draw the most awful things and make the most awful tweets AND THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE! That's a phrase I'm inclined to agree might actually happen sometimes... to some people... But there are still plenty of comedians that can tell abortion jokes and be nice and the same goes to actors... If this phrase was true Tim Curry would be a truly horrible person... He's every villain ever... surely by now he has to be at least a little bit evil, right? Once again, you see them differently from the way I do... Sure, there is a difference, but the point is still that I believe people can put on a horrible persona without being horrible and you don't...

Well, it's still pretty obvious we have very different world views and philosophies on this subject... I don't think any more can be said in the "people are what they seem" VS "people are not always what they seem" debate in this thread.... I finally played Minerva's Den... If I said how the ending made me feel it would be a spoiler... but I'll say I loved it... Also.... WOW, 360 games look kinda bad now that I upgraded my PC... Too bad PC games get the shaft when it comes to DLC...

As much as I'd like for this thread to die too, but... THIS... is exactly why we are arguing... Some of use believe this is true, but some of this DON'T... Apparently Mr. Vonnegut has never met anybody with a personality disorder, an expert conman, an actor or... Bruce Wayne... I don't remember if she's even said how to call her, all I know is that she's said she's transgendered... One of the problems of the internet is that you can never tell when someone is joking or putting up a persona... IMHO, Destructoid, in general, LIKES to be crass, even a bit dick-ish, but I don't think they're actual jerks... It's hard to know the REAL truth though...

You do know Anna Anthopy is transgendered, right? I'm not sure what's the proper term to call her... him? She IS a male, I've seen her broadcast live and she/he has a male body... she just thinks she should have been born with a female body... The person who attacked Jim was following him on Twitter in a "HUR HUR LOOK AT THIS SILLY MAN!" way... she was there for every rude comment Jim made, she was there for the show.. literally... and when the monkey flung poo in her way she got offended... Speaking of which, JOM STRORLING is now following me on Twitter, and what I assume is the person who created this account is talking to me... At least this person is reasonable... Maybe Jim deserved the attack, but I think trying to get him fired for retaliating is messed up... You can't start a fight and then complain you got hit and try to get that person arrested and you REALLY can't go and tell web celebs only parts of the story so they'll take your side... There are countless fields of knowledge nowadays, just because they don't what you know doesn't make them stupid, and just because they made one mistake doesn't mean they make mistakes all the time... If the people were as stupid as everybody else seems to think they are and as useless as they think they are... Civilization would have ended long ago....

Maybe I'm too positive, because I don't see most people on the internet as awful people... they might be 14 year old or people that act like like 14 year olds... Heck, I even think most of the people of ED and 4chan will be "normal" once they grow up a little... I think the main problem with the world is that... while the world is not rainbows and unicorns... it's not all piss and vinegar... You can meet thousands of people in one day, but you'll remember only the ones who either did something bad to you or something good to you... These people FOLLOW Jim on Twitter, it's what haters do apparently... If you go to a comedy club to watch an offensive comedian, you can't complain that his show is offensive! Jim reminds of bit a comedian from New York called Keith Mailey, he's crude, he'll make jokes about God, cripples, atheist, nothing is safe from him... but every once in a while he'll get a letter from fan saying he's offended by his "N" jokes.... and then say how much they loved the cripple joke! If you watch a monkey fling poo at others, you can't complain if he notices you and starts flinging in your direction... Am I the only one who thinks you can make jokes about awful things without actually believing in them? I listen to comedy shows and many comedians have "characters" or are simply pretty nice people (or not total jerks)... I've met webcartoonists in person who do the most awful cartoons... and they were pretty nice people! I'm not saying Jim is a nice person, but just because he makes sexists jokes doesn't make him sexist... How come making sexist jokes makes you misogynist, but making rape jokes doesn't make you a rapist? People will say you're a horrible person, but they don't call you a rapist?

So do I try to tackle the coaxial cables then?

Apparently we got Wifi to get rid of "ugly" cables, so they won't allow me to put any cables on the walls or ceiling...

The cable would look horrible no matter how I'd set it... and I'd need a hub to split the ethernet cables to my consoles... How expensive are ethernet cables anyway? I'd need 20 meters at least to get it from where the router is to my room!

Isn't a cat 5 cable an ethernet cable? The cable I'm holding in my hands says CAT 5.e so I guess it's a cat 5... I still need a coaxial cable to connect the router to the "grounding" in my room and then I'll connect it via Ethernet cable to my PC? [Wall Grounding]-(coaxial)->[Gaterway/router]-(Cat5)->[PC] ? ^ ^ | | This is the area I need help with? I could just connect it from the living room with a LONG ethernet cable, but I don't want an ugly cable running along the house even if I do attach it to the ceiling... I just said I managed to get it to nearly 40... is every posting their reply as the same time as me? I get about 30Mb via Wifi if I'm really close, my desktop is unfortunately very far... I get nearly 40 via Ethernet cable and it seems I have a coaxial cable in my room... Read my previous post for the description.. I think that maybe, just maybe.... I could try to do a little work on the coaxial "grounding" (?) I might be able to get the router in my room... EDIT: I don't know what to say, my first try with speedtest was horrid, but I tried again before calling ISP and got 25 with speedtest and 35 with every Spanish speed test?

Apparently it's important to use LOCAL speed tests.... every local test gives GREAT speed and everything! OK... so it looks like I'll get 35+ by ethernet cable, so I'll go that route... Pretend I never spoke about the previous stuff and let's talk about coaxial cables... I can't find this old coaxial cable on any chart... It reads 3C/2V Coaxial cable 75 omhs and the ends looks more like the cable for the old Atari... Or any 8 bit console... The modern one seems to have it's copper core exposed? Is there anything I can do to adapt this for the router/gateway? Will exchanging "males" be enough? I've changed... is "grounding" the proper English word? Well, I've managed to change one of those, so if I have to change the "coaxial grounding" I think I can if such a thing is possible?

Apparently you both skipped the edit, because I did try an ethernet cable and got 10MB, the ISP guy got 50Mb WITH those sites you mentioned... I can access my router through it's IP address, but it doesn't seem to show the signal levels... I only see one split and no loose ends... I probably don't know a tenth of what you guys do, but the fact that I can't get the same connection that the ISP guys did with an ethernet cable (a cable that was left behind by them, come to think of it) makes me extremely confused...
