  1. And what if it's a game nobody knows or cares about? They won't mind you saying you beat it, but why open a thread about an obscure old game if nobody is going to comment? I guess it depends on what you're going to say? If you're just to say you beat it, use the completed thread, if you're going to comment about it, make a thread or find the old one if it exists?
  2. Demon's Souls

But I have the Cling Ring that give me more HP in soul form and the one that regens MP, is it really worth giving up the cling ring?
  3. Demon's Souls

YES! I finally beat another boss and I got enough souls for the evacuate spell! HUZZAH! Is there anyway to increase the range of spells? Those skeletons are still too quick for me, even though I could kill them with two hits of my spell!
  4. Demon's Souls

Hmm, I can't kill the skeletons in 4-1, they are too fast for me. The fat fire tossing man kill me in 2-1, there is one that is over a LOOONG wooden beam, I can't reach him... I know I've tried the prison and the swamp-like area, but I don't remember where I die. I wonder if it's my wizard snobbery kicking in? Maybe I just need a new spell.
  5. Demon's Souls

I'm playing as "Royalty"? And I've only managed to get past 1-1, I'm using soul arrow and flame toss, I also got "heater shield"?
  6. Demon's Souls

I think I give up on Demon's Souls, I've spent half a day grinding the red guard in 1-1 but I still can't make it to ANY of the next bosses, well I did make it to a giant suit of armor that killed me in one hit. Maybe I can beat this game, but it that means I have to grind myself silly then I'm quiting. People tell me it's easy to gain experience by killing the skeletons in 4-1, but they keep dodging my spells and are just too quick.
  7. Japan

Oh dear God... that's just horrible! I hope everybody got "defriended" for saying such utter nonsense!

Well, the psycho costume makes him harder to kill and new attacks with psycho-like weapons like chainsaws and machetes, the soldier one makes him better with firearms, the ninja makes him nearly invisible to zombies and the sports one gives him better attacks with sports themed weapons and the ability to drink without getting sick. You can also combined different parts of each costume, so I had one of each, I could kill almost any psychopath without stopping to heal, and if I did need to heal I could use the beer helmet as much as I wanted because beer didn't make me sick. I only died once during the "final" battle because I was too reckless and waited till I had nearly no health to start healing.

I finally beat Dead Rising 2 and I think the DLC costumes make the game much easier... almost too easy for a Dead Rising game! I only died once and got the best ending at my first try! And I didn't even use a walkthrough! The worst part about the game? Since it takes place in Las Vegas it HAD to have gambling and the poker mini game is excruciatingly boring! I also beat Cotton...Another of those shmups I only seem to care about... Either bullet hell games are making me better at these games or Cotton is rather easy? I barely understand Japanese, but it seems to be about a witch who is helping a fairy because she promised her candy if she did?
  10. Japan

Someone in Japan is translating the latest news from Japan live on Ustream. I don't think he's slept since it's started. I find the nuclear plant the most distressing part, you can always rebuild a city, but for how long will the radiation make that area a wasteland? I heard it's already leaking like crazy... Another thing that bothers me is well... the internet in general, not only the tasteless Godzilla jokes, the idiots who say they deserve it because of what the did in WW II, but also there are people yelling at those mention prayers. These people assume that those who pray don't help... They aren't exclusive! "Prayer" is this occasion is a sign of goodwill, it's a "Be safe!", a "Take care!", it's an EXPRESSION, simple as that! It's also not the time to for silly quarells of semantics and beliefs!
  11. The Idle Thumbs Acheivements Leaderboard

I think that's why I'm so high on the list! I'm always playing "crap nobody cares about"!
  12. The Idle Thumbs Acheivements Leaderboard

Oh! I was wondering what their formula to calculate ranking was!
  13. The Idle Thumbs Acheivements Leaderboard

I didn't realize the first number you see is the total of the achievements point you could have!
  14. The Idle Thumbs Acheivements Leaderboard

A few of newer people with a low post count are new to me, but the list has even more, oh well... WHAT THE?! I'm number 2? How is that even possible?
  15. The Idle Thumbs Acheivements Leaderboard

Here's mine! http://www.trueachievements.com/Tanukitsune.htm There are a lot of strangers in this list.... XP
  16. I found out that a couple of games I was looking for on PSP were on sale in the US PSN store, so... I created an American account and Japanese account while I was at it... WOW! The US PSN store has a ridiculous amount of content compared the European one! And no, I'm not only talking about the usual JPRG, shmup and brawlers I usually gush over... I'm talking in general! We don't even have the PSOne Spyro games! We don't have the import JPN section! Let's just say my eyes bulged at all the games I was missing out... And obviously, my head exploded when I started to browse the Japanese store...*gushes over a thousand games you never heard of* If you're a European PSN user and you like either JRPGs, shmups, brawlers or any retro-arcade like game do yourself a favor an at least create an account to just browse or if you're too lazy just look at the full list of games you're missing out on! PS: If you actually plan to buy a game from the US PSN store, you have to be careful with which state you chose! You'll have to pay taxes on most of them! I chose New York at first and had to pay taxes, I switched it to Arizona and the tax was gone!
  17. So I took the plunge and got both a US and JP PSN account

I'm resurrecting this thread to share something I've discovered that has made the most annoying part of using multiple accounts a thing of the past! Everybody else just manually deletes the account on the PSP and then logs in with the other and authorizes it, it's long a cumbersome procedure... that can be skipped if you have a PS3! The secret lies in the PSP Minis! Most people ignore them, but there is one or two good ones, but the most important thing is that they are very small files and that's makes them perfect for switching accounts! You see, switching accounts on the PS3 is quick and painless, so you can easily switch between your US, Japanese and European account and when you transfer a game from one region to a PSP that has an account from another region (and the other account has been previously activated) the PS3 will do the switch for you! I've tried it and it works! Now switching account is ridiculously easy compared to the previous process!

If I do get a 3DS I'll probably get that version, although I think a certain version of the PS2 one has the old MSX games? I just beat Jame Pond 2: Robocod, I had forgotten it was Christmas themed, I could swear you picked up candy bars instead of elves.

Sonic has about 10 stages, while the other five characters have only four or five stages, but I'm not sure, I think it was 6-8 hours? It's definitely less than 10 hours since you unlock an avatar award for playing for that long and I haven't gotten it yet.
  20. Recently completed video games

I just beat Sonic Adventure from the Sega Dreamcast collection... wow, the game hasn't aged well, the facial animations, voice acting and dialog is hilarious bad! XD And yet, the gameplay is still fun, maybe a bit on the easy side? I don't remember the game being this easy the last time I played it
  21. I have a metric ton of "junk" I'm going to put up on Ebay in about a week, but I thought I would offer them here before putting them up for sale. And since they are so many, I thought that I should describe what I have for sale and if enough people give a damn, I'll update this post, if not I'll just PM the interested people. My DVDs are all Region 2 and either the UK edition or the Spansih one, both of them have English as a language and they are all practically all horror movies, the most noteable stuff is the Friday the 13th series, the C.E. of Phantasm and Hellraiser is special boxes, Ringu and Battle Royale. Game wise there are mostly stinkers like Gift or Zorro, strategy games like QAD and Patrician II, retro remakes like Dig Dug Deeper and Atari Revival, and well... I have an extra copy of Pyschonauts, but I assume most of us own at least one copy too? Anyway, every game is at least 6 years and either obscure, bad or a kid game. I do have some modern games for sale: COD 4, Prototype, Eledees, Drakensang and Dante's Inferno among others. I also have some Terry Pratchett books that I no longer need since I have them as audiobooks. That's about it, the rest I have is mostly in Spanish only. If enough people want a list of one of the categories I'll update this, I just thought this sounded than a better idea than pestering you with a full listing...
