I can't really afford to move, to our people it's normal to live with one generation minimum, it's only people in medium/high class that live alone. Heck, even married couples living with their parents are common here! It would probably shame my family and make them seem like the weakling who ran away, although if things get bad enough, I might actually consider it.
-
Early thirties, why? Is age relevant to anxiety?
-
Yes, it would be convenient that the store fails sooner than later, but my parents would believe it's my fault and that I didn't put my heart in it... I'm back from the medieval market and it was actually nice, people dressed up and everything! There was a cheese monger! I bought a chuck of dried meat! It's still recent enough for me to remember, I started to hyperventilate and soon after that I started to cry, I can't really remember what I was doing before, but it was a few hours after I was told there was no way out of this situation.
-
The problem is that the store is set for this and it would be too expensive to remodel and I'd be the one paying for the remodeling anyway I suppose. Like I said, my parent already asked for the keys to the store, I was there while it happened, it looks like he already made a verbal contract with the market owner without my consent. My sister had an idea that might work, I tell my father to fire me, but still feed me and let me live there, and I'll use my own savings until I find a new job, that way I'll be less of an economical burden to them. It's risky, but maybe better than opening a store that's doomed to fail? What really worries me is the anxiety attack, I've never had one before and I feel different, more vulnerable? I don't think I should do anything before seeing my therapist... Speaking of which there is a medieval market in the city, hopefully going on and trying to have fun will help a little? At least I feel a little better knowing that I'm not insane for thinking their business idea is bad, then again they thought I'd make a fortune by buying and renting one parking lot.
-
I live and work with them? It must be some sort of Spanish mentality, because not even my sister seems to think this is weird... It's all implied, but they do say the store will be mine and it will be my money invested in it. They won't let me say no unless I get a job, but they said it was too late after a week of looking. What I find hard to believe is that you can just open a store so easily, where is bureaucracy when you need it? Don't I need a store permit and a food handler permit minimum?
-
They know very well what I think about the store, they simply believe I'm making excuses... They only gave me a week to look for a job, but considering I haven't gotten any responses anyway things are looking bad? It's very weird, they talked with the owner of the market and they'll get the keys soon, I should do the paying and signing of thing, but I haven't seen anything, but my father says he'll have everything ready in a month Is there any place to hire the "desperate"? If I get a job they shouldn't force me to open a business, but I'm not sure what to think of this anymore. The worst part is that if I own a business, I don't think anybody will hire me.

I've never posted here before, but I've had the need until now, yeah.. this is a downer... I've never really talked about my life before, I work and live with my parents as a butcher's assistant and while things have been slow lately, it wasn't that bad. And then my parents said that it would be a good idea to purchase the canned goods store in the market place since the owner is retiring soon, my parents thinks it's a great idea because since it's canned goods they would save money because the produce wouldn't go bad and it's a relatively good place. The thing is... the market place is going old, each year some is retiring and closing the shop for good and almost nobody is there to buy it, I'm sure you see the problem already, right? In the best case scenario the market place would be a ghost town leaving me alone and nobody goes to market place with only a few stores open. "Fortunately", the owner asked way too much money, so they couldn't afford it, so they thought of getting the closed canned goods store in another aisle where there is much less traffic. This would be a disaster, I knew the previous owner, she closed because she couldn't get enough clients, so why would I be any more successful? By the way, did I mention they want me to use my money to buy the store and me to run it on my own? It's not that I don't think I can run a store, I simply think it's a terrible investment. But it gets worse, I'm always been a very restless person and I've been in therapy to get over my nerves, well... When I found out there was no way of getting out of this, I had an anxiety attack. I hyperventilated, I cried, I felt faint... My father was right there and he just sent me on a errand while I was still crying. Fortunately, I had an appointment with my doctor in two days, he's worried, but said it's not urgent, but he did say my recent loss of appetite and throat infection are probably stress related and maybe not a fungus like he once thought. I've lost nearly 7 kilos already and if this is stress related, being forced into a business I'm sure will fail will not help me at all... My parents have already asked for the keys to the place it should be open in a month. I seriously don't know what to do, I was desperately looking for a new job, but after this anxiety attack, I'm not sure I'm fit to go to one anymore. The TL;DR version: I'm forced to open a business doomed to failure and I can't do anything about it, my stress has caused an anxiety attack and I've lost lots of weight. PS: No, I have nobody else to turn to... I have no friends in this area and my sister won't take sides.... Yes, I'm that pathetic.

When did they release the last DeathSpank game? I could swear we already had one this year? The game is giving me a very episodic vibe lately since now it's noticeable they keep recycling game assets, most of the characters I've met so far are from the other two games. I haven't finished the game yet, so I don't know if it will sequel-bait, but the last DeathSpank acted like it was supposed to be the last one, so I wouldn't be surprised that we'd get a new DeathSpank no matter what. EDIT: I finally beat the game and boy, does the ending ever promise a sequel, I can't say more, but it's almost frustrating how the game ends. Then again, the last game seemed to wrap things up and had a sequel, so maybe they'll do the opposite?

Hmm, I just realized it's been two weeks without a Virtual Console update and only one DSiWare game each week? Sure, you gave the Ambassadors some free games, but that doesn't mean you can slack off on the Virtual Console, free games weren't necessary, but the weekly Virtual Console update is part of the "deal" Nintendo made with all 3DS users, Ambassadors or not!
-
I guess you're right, they're more afraid of PSVita than anything else, it's just that the sleek design of their consoles always gave me an "Apple vibe", but now they ruined it to add an extra nub, I guess they really don't care that much about it anymore?
-
Is it me or it a bad idea to compete with iOS devices and PSVita at the same time? They are almost polar opposite crowds to me.
-
Way to make the pretty shiny portable thing no longer pretty and less portable, Nintendo... I wonder if all the games that have been pushed back or cancelled are really just being remade for the new nub? Although it's probable they are waiting to see if anybody actually buys a bloody 3DS so they have someone to sell their games to!

The PSP sale in the European PSN store has updated, they have all the Koei Warriors games, kid movie franchise games and lots of Star Wars games. (I've never heard of the Battlefront series, but they have three of them for sale) Persona 3 Portable is a little cheaper than usual too, but not as much as the rest as long as some other JRPGs. I don't know my racing games, but they have Midnight Club, Ridge Racer and Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars. Not as good as last week, but pretty nice non the less!
-
Yes, but it proves they didn't even bother to test this password on the 3DS. Who knows, maybe the -1 World in Super Mario Bros glitch will make the 3DS explode, I'm positive Nintendo never bothered to try it... Suspend saves delete themselves after being loaded, I'd rather have a more permanent save states like the Game Boy games have, but you're right they will have normal save states later, which is why I'm wondering why did they release them like this instead of releasing them with the save state feature.
-
The emulation isn't perfect, they forgot to add the "save" and "load" feature in Wrecking Crew, which is included in Wii Virtual Console and a certain password for Metroid will crash your 3DS so badly you'll have to wait for the batteries to die to make it usable again.

For the price drop? I think they have done more than enough, it's how inconvenient they've made everything I'm a bit angry about.
-
To continue with Rodi's exaggeration, it's not only that they are giving us a "turd in a box", it's that they are giving us a gift that isn't even ready yet and they are hiding at the end a giant dusty cobweb filled closet where you have to crawl in to get at it and you can only carry one at a time... This is the part I'm legitimally annoyed with, not only are they "unfinished", they are very unaccessible, if I hadn't heard about how to get to them on the internet I wouldn't even have them now, can we at least agree that people can be annoyed at that part? Imagine the poor "casual" gamer not used to access a consoles "innards" having to do all those steps 10 times! Nintendo is supposed to make things easy! It's what they are known for!
-
Didn't the PSPGo give 10 free PSP downloads to early adopters in Europe? Most retro consoles came with at least one free game, even at their release and the DSi came with a few free points to buy a few games if memory serves me well. And I'm afraid you're right, remember how everybody whined about the free games we got for the PSN outage because we already had them? Frankly, I think it's a nice touch that Nintendo is giving us free games, even though I have most of them, and I'm grateful because they really didn't have to, but could they have at least give them with full features? Why release them in this sorry state and then say they'll "patch it up later"? Why make it so burdensome to access them? Yes, the internet is whiny, but sometimes there are things "worth" whining about and should be called out for, even though it's hard to tell when a complaint is legitimate.
-
Have they released a full list of the GBA games? I've only heard 5 of the ten games and I already have them... Buying a game on Steam and then having the price drop isn't the same as buying a console DAY ONE and dropping the price a few months later, that's unheard of! Frankly, I don't know what to think of Nintendo anymore... It's kinda scary, but I wouldn't be surprised if the rumor of the new "3D-less 3DS" was true, this is the Nintendo that thinks we want Urban Champhion is 3D, that thinks that the U.S. doesn't want cool RPGs for the Wii, released the 3DS without an eShop and then made the eShop terrible by giving it almost no games... Not to mention that the few games that are coming out for it are remakes and the rest have been delayed or cancelled. Yikes, when you put everything together, it does sound a bit disastrous.

It looks like the Chronicles of Riddick is for sale on Steam, but it has TAGES? I don't know about this DRM, is it as bad as SecuROM and others? I kinda want this game.
-
This might seem like a stupid question, but is it a good idea to use a mod in the middle of a game? I'm in a spot where it wouldn't be THAT bad to restart, so I wouldn't mind restarting to enjoy the mod fully?
-
I beat a few of the PSP games I got on the sale that going on. Sid Meier's Pirates is still awesome on the PSP, although it seems to have some glitches, like ships rocketing through the screen, even through land and sometimes named pirates never appear, but it was the most fun I've had in a while! Tekken 6 is kinda amazing looking on the PSP, but the new boss is terrible, he makes Seth look fair! A giant dragon creature? With a ridiculous reach AND cheap attacks that take up half the screen? I expect that from a Marvel Vs. Capcom game, but Tekken? I've only played with 25% of the characters, but Tekken has so many now it's ludicrous! The only new character that I've played with so are Leo and Bob, which are pretty cool! The only thing that I think I should mention is that for some strange reason story mode only has 4 stages, it's probably because there are so many characters to play as or maybe because the final boss is so cheap it doesn't matter, you'll be playing for ages?

Blocks That Matter: An Ode To All "Blocky" Game?

The timing for the lava drops on that chest is ludicrous, but it can be done! -
Blocks That Matter: An Ode To All "Blocky" Game?
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
If it's the one I think it is, then this might make things a bit easier, create the shape at the wood button, then a sand one and make the rest of the wood reach under the lava drops so it burns making the sand drop on the sand button. You may have figured out that part already, so I'm guessing you're having trouble dodging the lava drops, which is understandable, this level is the trickiest timing-wise. All I can advise is to try right after all the drops on the left fall at the same time, that's how I made it, if memory serves me well? Hope that helps! -

Are you talking about the one that's a trap with two buttons?
