  1. General Video Game Deals Thread

Both versions I have has unlockable games and interviews, different games in each version though. Well, it looks like I was wrong, even though they sell them individually, it is a "proper" collection in the sense that you just install one program with all the games, but it has no extras at all, although it does seem to offer more graphical options than the PSN and XBLA versions obviously. It does have quite a few games that aren't in the other collections but have been available in the Wii Virtual console, like Alien Soldier and Gunstar Heroes. Has anybody asked about the Aliens Vs. Predators game? It is worth it?
  2. General Video Game Deals Thread

I guess I'm really miffed by the fact that if doesn't feel like a true retro collection without a menu with extras and maybe even some unlockables, but then again, I haven't bought them yet, so who knows? Maybe there is some extra content in each individual game? But I'll follow your suggestions to deal with the clutter.
  3. General Video Game Deals Thread

I would agree with you, but we're talking about 20+ games, maybe even 30? That's a lot of clutter!

I just know I'm going to buy the Sega Classics Collection, but it sucks that it's not a real collection and that every game is separate, it's nice for those who want to buy individual titles, but the other collections have them all in one program, which is much less messy. :S

Did I miss the news about this new technology or something? I thought we could only measure brain activity in a way that just shows which areas are being active? Shouldn't it look like this?

The only assholes I see here are the ungrateful guards... He's not only giving you a free drink, he's giving you the whole damn dispenser, dammit! I guess some people just can't handle drinks well. *shrugs*
  7. Life

No, no, no... that wouldn't work! You'd need some honey to get some cat hair to make a disguise to fool the three headed monkey into giving you the thong... I'm also pretty sure the only banana tree is guarded by a Don Knotts goblin.

For some strange reason, the upstairs neighbors hanged their clothes to dry without clothespins. Some of it obviously fell off to an area that pretty hard to access, so... I fashioned a makeshift grappling hook out of hooks, sticking plaster and well... hooks! I'd hate to admit it, but rescuing those clothes was fun! Seeing my "invention" work, throwing the rope and swinging it so it could access those hard to reach places.... it was almost like a video game?

Damn, I just realized my therapist is a social security one, so if my parents do plan on firing me (and still make them work for them at BOTH stores), I'll no longer be able to afford therapy OR medication!

Yikes! That doesn't sound very cost effective, you could probably get a used TV for the price of a bulb!
  12. Life

Would I be wrong to assume that a modern projector would still use a bulb? A bulb that has a limited life span and would need to be replaced? Not as often as a normal bulb, but maybe in four years? It might be a good investment if you're not going to use it constantly?
  13. Life

Seriously? It's already hard to find non-3D TVs in your country? We barely have any HD channels! Heck, some of our public TV channels look like Sega CD cutscenes! Can't you look for non-3D TV used? Or in a smaller store "chain"? I don't know if I'm using the right word there though.

I'm sorry for your loss subbes... As an update to my situation, yesterday my sister and her husband tried to convince my father that his idea was too risky, but he's too stubborn and there is just no way out of it, the store will open, but at least it might be my store? Nobody even seemed to want to mention my anxiety attack, the weirdest part is that my sister told me later that she said she had a few and yet... she seemed a bit unsympathetic? Frankly, I'm beginning to think nobody in my family knows how to show sympathy even if they wanted to. I've also found out that my parents really do want me to live and work for them forever... They own the apartment upstairs and are renting it, but they say it will be mine eventually, I really don't want a future that's living and working right next to my parents, but at the same time, I'd be fool to turn down at least the house offer? I've only found two companies that help people who have trouble finding jobs or knowing which job they want, but one of is the Employment office which won't help me while I'm employed and I'll be calling the other later today? I've resorted to looking and writing down every company name I see on a worker or van, because I've lost faith in the "conventional methods", I spent a few hours looking at job sites and most of the offers I clicked on just redirected me to a another job sites or a site that offer courses that "guarantee" that you'll get a job later...
  15. Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo is the only one who doesn't do DD, Sony has full PS3 games, it's just that since they don't have a section for it like the 360 does, nobody knows about it, and there are many PSP games that you can only buy through DD, in Europe it's rare to get an Atlus game on PSP that isn't through DD. And... since nobody has made the joke yet... "I'm glad the 3DS nub uses batteries, at least it now has some AAA material in it!"
  16. Nintendo 3DS

Well, Atlus game come out in smaller numbers, right? That's how they are affordable to them and that why they can get more expensive? It looks like the Virtual Console game this week is Megaman, but... I'm one Euro short! Why is the eShop so backwards it forces you to buy things in 10€ increments? I refuse to spend 10€ when I only need one!
  17. Radiant Silvergun XBLA

I hope Otomedius come out in Europe, even though I heard it's Otomediocre.
  18. Nintendo 3DS

What is the battery thing for the nub true? That's beyond ludicrous! Can we finally admit that Nintendo messed up and released the 3DS too soon? If they just waited a few months the 3DS we could have had the 2nd nub as part of the 3DS! From what I've heard it seems like many of the games that actually make having a 3DS worth it will need it. Monster Hunter wouldn't need the Monster Claw technique if the game had a lock-on function.
  19. Life

I haven't talked to them since, they left for their parent's village for the long weekend holidays, it's the towns festivities here, but I've been given ideas like having them "fire" me, so they don't have to pay my salary and either just pay my Social Security or some minimal for just helping around at the store. But I should really convince them to have the store to their name even if I have to pay the bills, would you hire someone who has his own business already? I'm not sure if I'm offending them by suggesting that their idea is terrible, or because they think I'm lazy and cowardly and therefore incapable of getting a job, which doesn't make any sense, if they think I can't get a job, why would I be able to run a business? And I can't be lazy, since I'm the only one there who does a decent job at cleaning and I work at least 30 hours a week there. What do you mean by market research? Make an estimate or how much we could make and how much we should make?

I am not unemployed, and I live the in the kind of country were living with the parents isn't a social stigma, yes, I am aware my parents care for me and want the best for me, but like I said before, they want me to invest my live savings in an aging market that will be a ghost town in 5-10 years. Scant information? You must have missed a post because my first post was very much TL,DR territory. To summarize, I think I am capable of getting a job or even running a business, I just think their idea is dreadful, my parents won't listen and are carrying on, and I'm getting worried sick over me and my family, I've had my first anxiety even and I've lost almost 20 pounds due to stress in the last few weeks. The main reason I know opening the store in this market is a bad idea is because I work in the same aisle and it's practically a ghost town already! Who knows, maybe the business won't be that big of a disaster, but my main concern in my stress and anxiety levels, which seems to be worrying to everybody BUT my family. ElMuerte, I almost had a similar experience to yours, except I found the cause before replacing my computer. One day, I started to smell plastic burning and I immediately thought it was my PC, the smell went before I could pinpoint where it was coming from, and since I didn't have any overheating warnings or performance issues I forgot about it. I happened again, and again... Until one day I realized that it seemed to happen at a certain time and that it was coming from outside, it turns out it was just the smell of cigar ash burning the plastic of my AC outside. But since that is still dangerous, we complained to the upstairs neighbors and they stopped.
  21. Life

Just one final question, is it a good idea to try to anything like go on job interviews before I see my therapist? Like I said before, after the anxiety attack, I feel weird and vulnerable. I'll see in about two weeks, but then again, my parents might have already opened the store by then.

I've heard of temp job agencies, which kinda suck, is there such a place that actually helps you find something more permanent?
  23. Life

If I had enough money to buy a business I would have bought one, apparently in this market place you only have to pay rent to the market owner, at least that's what it seemed like from the conversation they had in front of me. I think my main problem is that I'm more suited for blue collar work and the internet is good to find while collar ones, the only factory job offer I managed to find online was a Coca-Cola factory.

The week to find a job was the most bizarre part, maybe I'm just terrible at finding jobs, but I was simply resorting to grabbing a product, googling it and sending my CV to the people who worked on it and spending a few hours a day until I simply ran out or ideas... Do you remember when you were a kid and studied hard and then took a break and that's the exact moment you parents check on you and the obviously assume you've been goofing off all day? That's how I felt all week, I guess they thought I wasn't been serious enough because I wasn't sending CVs 24/7. I know I should move out, my stress would probably go away much quicker, but according to our ways (or maybe just our families' way) I can't leave them before I get a job. Heck, I'm willing to work in the septic tank sector, I just can't seem to find any jobs, I only see white collar jobs for which I'm under qualified or scam jobs like telemarketing. Would it be too weird to get the yellow pages and look company by company and send them CVs? I would have asked the building's cleaning lady where she works and send my CV there, but I guess she doesn't work Saturday's
