I think it's only part of the Stormcloaks/Empire quest? Frankly, I'm not even sure what the main quest is anymore, is that a good thing or bad thing?
-
Actually I found out that since I was using "combined" enchantment, it could only be applied on armor, when I got "Fortify Destruction" separately, I could use it on a lot more items. The invisibility thing really messed up my plans for the thieves guild, because that's what I did in Oblvion, I became a powerful mage and used invisibility since I never used sneak. It's kinda weird that to enjoy the full game you have to play "both sides", you don't want to miss out on the guild quests and half of them are kinda evil. It also sucks that you have to pick sides with some factions. It was kinda heart breaking when the war started I the side I chose attacked a town I just spent the last hours helping... It seems strange that I've become the Archmage and yet still they won't sell me the most powerful spells, maybe I need to have a higher level in that category? That would make sense.

At least it's not like other games where items cost more or less depending on demand, if you have 50 gold rings, they would buy them for less and less... It seems Skyrim is must better when you aren't in a dungeon, I'm having fun doing silly fetch quests or non-dungeon quests, but aren't dungeon quests technically fetch quests? You are there to fetch an item, except they take 30 minutes to complete and have a puzzle at the end. Invisibility is useless in this game, I'm trying to use it in the thieves' guild quest and they can still see me!

I've only been playing for 20 hours and I'm getting a bit tired, I'm getting tired of the dungeons, they all look the same to me. Fortunately, I finally encountered a dwarven one for the first time, which brought me to the second thing that's beginning to annoy me. EVERY dungeon I've encountered lately seems to have a puzzle at the end! Please tell me this was just a coincidence.... My next mission in in a place called "Laberynithium" or something like that, which sounds like I'm going to hate the dungeon.

Has anybody played Singularity? Can they vouche for it?
-
I can access it... most of the time, at least. How is Singularity? My backlog is bogged up and I don't know if I should take up another game. (Also, my backlog is exactly 69 and I like it like that. Tee hee!) EDIT: This pic depicts how we feel about Steam sales perfectly...

AAAAH! THE END IS NIGH!
-
Why aren't you visiting Steam daily anyway? What about the contest? Didn't you hear about that?
-
I'm pretty sure all but Blocks that Matter where on sale, Bastion was on sale twice!
-
Yeah, it's silly, I had so many I found a master level lock and wasted a few on purpose just to raise my lockpicking level raise faster. I think the QD Inventory mod might have messed up my game, I'm not able to enchant items, I have enchantments, filled soul gems and items that can be enchanted, but when I choose all three I don't see a "craft option" or anything new! EDIT: Never mind, apparently it was because I was using the 360 controller, once I turned it off the craft option appeared.

I discovered this site this week on Savvy Gamer and got Saints Row The Third pretty cheap, to have something to play while I waited for Skyrim. And then I found out I was an idiot and never hit "Checkout", on a whim I visited this site and saw it had more or less the same price as UK online stores, not to mention I got an extra discount with their point system! Is it a bit strange, the Saints Row key was text, but the Skyrim one was an image of the code. Has anybody else used this site? What do you think of it? It kinda ridiculous that we have even more crazy cheap Steam games.

Considering this sale will end in 2012, it IS the wallet apocalypse! I do hope Steam has a sense of humor and calls it "The End of the World sale"! But should we really care about this sale? What could possible go on sale that wasn't in the Autumn one?

The new Pokémon game is a strategy game... set in the Sengoku era in feudal Japan?
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
What the hell? I never heard about this feudal Japan craze? And I want AC 3 to be set in Victorian London! I don't know about anime and film, but video games? For every game set in feudal Japan there are ten set in WWII and ten in feudal Europe. Let's see: Samurai Warriors, Onimusha, Goemon, Sengoku Basara, The Way of the Samurai.... I don't see that much of feudal mania, specially considering how badly these games do out of Japan. Japan is proud of the Sengoku era, I don't think weeabos even know about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, there isn't any underage girls showing their panties during this era... -
I'm still bumbling in the dark, which is what I want and I got a minor nitpick. I'll just say that there was a murder mystery to solve and that while I'm technically playing good, I'm pick-pocketing and sometimes even stealing just so I get to level lock-picking. Well, I pick-pocketed someone while he was asleep and when I opened a certain item with his key I found out he was the murderer, did the game let me do anything? NOPE! I had to follow the storyline and do what the quest told me to.

The new Pokémon game is a strategy game... set in the Sengoku era in feudal Japan?
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I wonder how much depth will the game have? Can you choose sides? Or will just fight each of the famous battles, but with Pokémon? -
I hope this is the "full" Minish Cap, Europe got an early release, but they removed a feature or two if memory serves me well?
-
I found a site that had the Steam version at a decent price, so I bought it. I wanted to be a basket bandito and put baskets on every bodies heads and rob them blind, but.... I've yet to do it successfully, but I just barely started. Anyway, I'm off to get some mods, I heard there is one that makes game almost look like a painting by messing with the saturation!

G2Play.net: A site that sells Steam game codes cheaper!
Tanukitsune replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I has Paypal, which makes it more trustworthy to me, I'd rather not give my credit card to anybody nowadays. It's probably more trustworthy than Play or TheHut, since they are dealing with digital goods, there should be less hassle if anything ever happens? Of course, we won't know how good or bad they costumer service is until something bad happens. -
Persona 2 and Corpse Party are out in Europe (digitally only, of course)
Tanukitsune posted a topic in Video Gaming
I knew Persona 2 would be digitally only, but Corpse Party? I'd never think we'd get what's basically a "choose your own adventure game". (I know there is a better name and I might be wrong? There is also a Persona 2 and Trails in the Sky combo pack, but I don't know of that game. Oh, and Mickey Mania is on PSClassics! -
"Exclusive" tends to mean it's only temporarily exclusive or just one console and PC? I'm sure we've said something like this on some other thread.

ARGH! I just bought Cave Story+!

Short is a good thing during "Game-ageddon" (Or is that over?).

WadjetEye Games 50% off everything! This weekend only!

The site has the order in the bundle. -
Well, that was quick, I could swear he only mentioned remastering them the other day! On a related deal topic, The Force Unleashed II is on sale on Steam, is it better than the first? I kinda like it, so I might pick this one up.

I don't think anybody but a pure retro fan would play a game with very limited lives, no saves or passwords and no continues (or no save states). But did the original have enemies? Fantastic Dizzy, which is the only one I played, did. If not, it doesn't really matter that much?
