  1. Pimp out your XBLA avatar with the most expensive bling you can find! But seriously, there has to be a way to get your money back, what if they had spent a fortune on MS banana bucks?
  2. Fund Tim Schafer's next game YOURSELF!

I assume printing the book itself will be pretty expensive?
  3. General Video Game Deals Thread

Damn, I don't know if this is related, but the Steam Coupons expire next week, should we open a thread for this or do it here?
  4. Fund Tim Schafer's next game YOURSELF!

I guess you're right, but I wonder just how many people saw that video who weren't backers already? Are we encouraged to share this with non-backers?
  5. Fund Tim Schafer's next game YOURSELF!

Yeah, $500 for the book is too much, since 60 gives you the PDF why bot give it with the 100 dollar tier? I just watched the whole amazing 35 minute talk of Schafer and Gilbert, it was strange that they made it available to everyone though.

    Not really?

I had put Skyrim on hold for ages and today I finally picked it up and finished the main quest about an hour later. I had no idea I was that close to the end!
  8. General Video Game Deals Thread

The Book Of Unwritten Tales is on sale! It's called the "Hooray-Adventures-Games-Are-NOT-Dead-Sale!", I wonder if this has anything to do with Double Fine Kickstarter 2D adventure? This game is only for sale at this site and Adventure Gamer and while the AG site does have sales of it's own, they are never "Steam crazy", so I'd go for it.
  9. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

Is OK to start a Kickstarter so I can afford more in this Kickstarter?
  10. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

OK, I decided to be fiscally responsible and pledge just enough to get the game and music... I really can't afford more.
  11. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

I hope they post a preview of the prints soon, I can barely afford one and I can't choose if I don't know what they look like! (Although I'm likely to choose the Graham Annable one) They will charge us when the Kickstarter is over right?

Huh, apparently Grotesque Tactics 2 is less than 15 hours long. I enjoyed despite the complete mess this game is, it's VERY buggy! Many parts are still in German and are not translated, some options are just "Text translation missing" and so many quests will remain in the quest log after you complete them... Also: And yet... the game has charm, the voice acting is good, the jokes are usually funny, probably BECAUSE of the good voice acting.
  13. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

Yeah, it's kinda crazy to see so many backers compared to the people here in the forums, but then again, I listen to several podcasts whose sites I never visit.
  14. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

I think I'm going to have sell some of my plasma too to make a pledge, I'm so tempted to pledge enough for a print.

I bought the PSP Pirates of the Caribbean games since they were on sale and... Boy, is the first game dreadful! The combat would a snoozefest if it weren't for the fact that you can use items and smash bottles, shoot guns on enemies and even make them fall in traps, although that gets old fast too. But the worst part? You can't reach the final level without 25 treasure maps, that unlock 5 battle areans that give you five Kraken statues. And the game will not tell you were are the ones you missed. Oh and did I mention the game is laggy and every seems to constantly slowed down like TSR-80 trying to run Crysis? And I finally bought a PS2 Classic, Donald Duck: Quack Attack, which was pretty fun, but I can't fathom how this could be a kids game, some levels are pretty brutal. It was fun to unlock costumes and get the comic version of Donald Duck. My only gripe is that they made Gladstone UNLUCKY! At least in a way, that is. Before every boss battle, Gladstone would get squished and bonked, but he would find a nickel, so that's kinda lucky?
  16. Backlog Busters

    Rogues are technically RPGs, right?
  17. Backlog Busters

Wow, that's a lot! Here's a tip, skip Titan's Quest and play the expansion, I played Titan's Quest and then found out the expansion forces you to play the whole main quest again!

I just buy them in online stores, there are many trustworthy places that sell them, it's a shame about your PS3 though.
  19. Recently completed video games

Those are kinda hard to find, many difficult games go the Ninja Gaiden route and make it frustrating difficult where dying is NOT your fault. Kroms, do you have a PS3? You can buy PSN cards online from other regions and then buy PSOne Classics at the PSN store. Not shipping and probably much cheaper than the physical version of the PSOne game.

I beat Dragon Quest IV on the DS, it was my first DQ game and it was very different from other JRPGs I've played. It's very hardcore I guess, you can only save at town, you can't rely on potions to save you, you must resurrect characters in town too (there is a spell that can revive characters, but it can FAIL). It took me about 30 hours and I used a guide to make sure I didn't get lost. I had to grind a bit at the end to beat the nightmarish boss with SEVEN forms! If all DQ final bosses have seven forms, this might be the only DQ game I play... I had no idea about the new DNF DLC, I though all the new DLC was for multiplayer? I might get that DLC if it's ever on sale again.

He he, that Prince of Persia one was gold!

First Tim's new game is being made, then they say they are going to make a new Broken Sword and now this? This is starting to get scary...
  23. Broken Sword 5: Legacy of The Something

Well, it is easier to tell the player what to do than to make a puzzle or goal obvious yet satisfying. Games are getting bigger and longer and most developers don't dare let the player get stuck or lost and frankly, I think they should at least remember us of our objectives and then let us decide whether we need help with achieving them.
  24. Broken Sword 5: Legacy of The Something

What exactly do you mean by adventure game "revival"? Do you mean as reigniting the genre and getting in the top ten charts? Did we even have these charts back then? Or do you mean there will simply be more? I've been playing pretty good adventure games lately, and I'm not only talking about Telltale ones. And there wasn't that many adventure games back in the day, we'd get a Sierra game or two a year, maybe the same for Lucasarts and then a handful of adventure games made by other companies (where maybe only one or two was actually good), the only thing different now is that Lucasarts and Sierra are gone.
  25. Broken Sword 5: Legacy of The Something

Wasn't Broken Sword 4 released in 2006? Does that it's terrible too? I never played it.
