DS or iPhone version? I beat two games this week, Dynasty Warrior 7, which is pretty awesome now, while you can't chose whatever character you want you get a better story mode and every makes more sense and can you believe there has been SEVEN of these game and now they tell how the Romance of the Three Kingdom ends? It's also much less grindy! The other game I played was Sonic Colours, which seems to support my theory that the moment Sonic Team "gave up" is when people liked them again. It was great fun, but it's was lazily made, the bosses were recycled, the levels are insultingly short, one is just you running around the rings of a planet, but they are pretty fun!

Hmm, a 3'99€ PC mag comes with the original Far Cry, and it's the same copy you'd get if you bought it back in the day. That's kinda surprising, I never knew how legal these copies where, but to see a 100% legitimate copy is something new to me. Anyway, I'm seriously debating whether to get it, since it probably has DRM and I could it get it for that price on the next Steam sale.

I think Weekend at Bernie's was shown back in the day on TV in my country, but it's referenced enough to know what it's about without having to watch the movie.

I've lost all confidence in that site.... First it lost me I could run Batman: AA with no problems... I still got the demo to see if it would well with the gamepad, but I had to remove almost eveything and it still ran slow... Now it says it can run Dead Space PERFECTLY while Steam says that I can't even run it... Am I the only one who has had trouble with this site? One thing is for sure... I have to save up for a 1Gig graphic card....

While the "music" and lighting made the game tense, I played for about 40 floors and the most spooky thing I saw was a shadow... But by the time that happened, I more angry than tense... I actually was happy to finally have something happen! From what I've read from the other comments, PiratePoo is right, this game would have been better with a better pacing, just because a game that constantly scares is annoying doesn't mean one that scares too little is just as bad.

I looked it up out of curiousity, it was made with Playfirst's SDK, does that means it's the same engine as Diner Dash?

Maybe? Will the fans want pixel art? Can it handle hand drawn graphic? There is an engine to make adventure games in flash, but I don't remember it's name now. Maybe they could use whatever engine WadjetEye used for Emerald City Confidential?

Man, I feel weird posting after nobody else has, but I really wanted to give my opinion on The Book of Unwritten Tales. As a comedy adventure games it has the obligatory Monkey Island reference, but it was much later than expected and it didn't annoy me at all, most references are rather subtle, as in you have to think about them to get them and you easily miss them. It pokes fun at many tropes in games and fantasy setting, but unlike Matt Hazzard, it doesn't show you how annoying something is by forcing to do and say "ISN'T THIS ANNOYING?", it's "Wouldn't that be annoying if we made you do that?" The game has some brilliant moments I wont' spoil, but also some rough patches and sometimes the references do pile up a bit, but it's never annoying. I must admit that some scenes did seem almost lifted from Simon the Sorcerer, but when you're making fun of fantasy games, I guess it's bound to happen whether it's intentional or not. One of the better adventure games I've played this year... Oh, did I mention you get to play a muppet like character for a scene?

The thing HE hates the most is pixel hunting, so? How does this make him out of touch? Because he doesn't hate the same things you do? Do you know what games he's played? He probably doesn't play as many games as us. And what exactly has happened to the genre since Full Throttle? Episodic adventures? In game hint systems? I pretty sure they mentioned hint systems and he's aware of the other.

Yeah, it's strange how we think we are buying something instead of funding it, I guess that how we have to justify it in our mind? We see that 100$ gets us the physical version of the game, so we think the physical version costs 100$. I'm kinda worried, they may have pledged nearly 3 million, but how much will they have left after what "they owe us"? I also had no idea that the game wasn't even going to have voices with it's initial budget, so I'm happy they can afford voice actors now.

The Hut seems to have a leap year sale, with the coupon "LEAPYEAR50" and if you combine with the two for 25 Pounds sale you can get some neat stuff cheap! I think you have to spend at least 50€ for the coupon to apply? I can't decide whether to get El Shaddai or Splatterhouse, they are both in the multibuy offer and my other choice is Rayman Origins.

Stay away from Serious Sam: The Greek Encounter on Desura, it's a terrible game that was made in 5 minutes with Game Maker.
