  1. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

In case anybody has some trouble with timed puzzles I have some tips: -The obvious one: don't be overencumbered. -Turn down the graphic details. -There is a certain cheat program which would ruin this game, but.... it also has a speed hack that can speed up or slow down games. Man, it's tough playing as the warrior, you get a great weapon and you can use it until you have enough points for it, but you might find a better weapon in a different category. Also, ogres! EDIT: Forget about ogres... you don't even want to know you encounter in level 10! Just how deep does this go? And the puzzles are getting ridiculous too! In a good way?
  2. Fez

Is it actually coming to PC? Some XBLA exclusives really are exclusive.
  3. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

I guess the 4th floor challenge is harder for people who didn't get used to fighting by sidestepping or walking around enemies, I usually just walk back to a corridor or a door I can close so I can fight them one at a time.
  4. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

Did anybody reach the forth level yet? The first room nearly killed me and I was playing on EASY! You have to be pretty tactical and lucky! PS: The crystals that heals you, also resurrect, I wouldn't have survived this room without knowing this.
  5. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

You can sometimes trick them to fall into one too! But you'll probably need the XP.
  6. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

My main complain is the spell casting, if the game is real time it's kinda essential that I don't take too much casting spells. I don't even want to know about the ones that use two runes! Something funny happened to me when I met FOUR skeletons coming at me in formation, I fled, hid, healed and tried to get them when One big hint, This game is brutal, but still so very fun!
  7. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

I have TWO mages in mine, I've been told to give them spears until they can cast magic, luckily I got one from my first (and almost last) skeleton encounter.
  8. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

Stonekeep! That's the one I played!
  9. Legend of Grimrock - Tile based Dungeon Crawler!

I know I've played games like this before, but I have no idea which? For the first time ever, I decided to actually roleplay in a roleplaying game, but nothing too serious... The thief keeps making meat puns towards the minotaur and gave her the leather armor on purpose... Also everybody hates the bug, because they are racist jerks? (It's very puerile, you don't even want to know their names!) How do you cast spells in the games? Do I need to learn a spell first? I have only one fire scroll, but the game says I don't have enough magic skill.
  10. Leisure Suit Larry in "gimme your money"

I wonder if Replay is going to ask us fans to fund all of their bloody games?
  11. Lone Survivor

I'm pretty sure that's because you shouldn't played horror games windowed, it ruins the ambiance.
  12. Putt-Putt on the... iPhone?

Nimbus Games seems to have appeared out of nowhere and seems to own the rights to the Humongous Entertainment games, but... I'm kinda suspicious. The "About" section has the people that form Nimbus Games and they all seems to come from important companies except... they only give out their first name. I also find it suspicious that the "Press" section is just five star reviews. Shouldn't something like this make a blip on the game news networks, even if it's just a tiny one? Is it possible that they are so new that nobody knows about them yet? Also, give us Fatty Bear, dammit!
  13. General Video Game Deals Thread

GamersGate has 1C Complete Pack for less than 20€! Buy I own most of the known titles, I have no idea if it's worth it if you already own King's Bounty, Pathologic and other similar titles. Also Cave is having a sale on the iOS store!
  14. Putt-Putt on the... iPhone?

Oh, I had no idea the games had random elements in them, I only played each of them once.
  15. Lone Survivor

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out on my own! But now I have no idea what happened?! I had a great freakout moment when: But: I also had a few glitches, like getting a cooked meal that never disappeared, which really broke the game!
  16. General Video Game Deals Thread

GamersGate has it's own super indie bundle, but I don't know... it's mostly unknown so-so looking RPGs. Has anybody played any of these games?
  17. Putt-Putt on the... iPhone?

OK, I played Pajama Sam and noticed something odd, somebody asked for an item I couldn't find, which was weird because I had everything to end the game. I checked online and it looks like they removed the item! Maybe they did it because it made a little too hard for kids?
  18. Leisure Suit Larry in "gimme your money"

If they make it any worse than the last one, it would be so humorously dreadful that it would a cult hit! (Seriously, the last one was so terrible it was actually funny!)
  19. Your first gaming device...

Ah yes, the good ol' Amiga 500... I miss mine, but I can't really justify getting a new one since most of the games I had on it I now own on the Megadrive or PC, even if the Amiga version was superior.
  20. Putt-Putt on the... iPhone?

I'm pretty sure it was Dry Cereal the game Kolzig got in the cereals, it would be strange if it were any other of the games. I took a plunge and bought them, there is only three of them, one for each series (except Spy Fox) and oddly enough, they aren't releasing them in order, that is, if they intend in releasing more than one of each series. They are pretty fun! Putt-Putt Save The Zoo has a singing topiary scene which seems to point out that the song "Wet, wet, wet" from a previous Freddi Fish game wasn't that good. Is it me or would a child never get this joke? And you're right about the racial stereotypes in cars, the Aussie car might as well be cooking a shrimp on the "barbie". It seems the games reference each other a lot! Even Fatty Bear seems to have made a cameo in both games I've played and he only had one game!
  21. Jane Jensen's Pinkerton Road CSG Kickstarter

And LSL has almost hist 200.000....
  22. Putt-Putt on the... iPhone?

Whoa! It looks like they just released a Pajama Sam game! The price is a little higher than the others, I guess they dropped the price of their other games to celebrate this one? It seems to be a pretty common practice in the iOS app store.
  23. Jane Jensen's Pinkerton Road CSG Kickstarter

Well, that makes sense, but did anybody notice that you can pay for a "cycle"? If you pay enough you get all the games they release in that cycle, which I assume is year from the day the studio is open, but what are the chances of them releasing more than one game a year? And wouldn't we rather have one quality game a year than two or three that feel rushed?
  24. Lone Survivor

I just played the demo and as someone who is usually not that scared by games, what I played did managed to make feel very... unsettled? I'm worried about the food and sleep factor, has anybody actually played the whole game? Is food very VERY scarce, so scarce you can screw up and have to restart?
  25. Jane Jensen's Pinkerton Road CSG Kickstarter

I just noticed that this Kickstarter is 45 days instead of the 30 days most of the other projects have, maybe they are sane enough to realize we need more time to get the funds?
