I really regret buying Fortune Summoners at 75%, the style is adorable, the story is good, but the gameplay... I wouldn't call it challenging, I'd call it frustrating. The enemies AI is just a nightmare, if you attack with a ranged attack they will jump over it 90% of the time and counter with their own if they can, if you use a short range attack it can pretty hard to land a hit too and I was playing on easy, which I guess only effects the damage? Except it doesn't seem that much. The enemies do too much damage considering how slow the healing is and the inventory limit and did I mention there is a limit to leveling? You have to pick up a item to be able to gain a new level and it doesn't seem to do much to you overall stats. And don't even get me started on the bats and bees. The worst part? It only gets annoying after the demo part, so if I bought the demo, I would have liked it enough to buy the full game. At least for what I've payed I got enough out of the game.

I though the pink thing was glitch and email them about it... Ooops? But I am having issues, the game seems to crash at the loading point in Puffin Mode, but I can complete in normal mode. The graphic glitches that happen right after the pink glitch where so bad I had to quit and reload, but I just ignored it in the end.

Anybody remember X-Blades? It somehow got a sequel / reboot and it's pretty decent. the main mechanic is rewinding time to create copies of yourself, it's rather fun to have several copies of you mowing down enemies and even bosses! (It's still a very cheesy game though, the dialogue will either make you laugh or cringe.)

I think I'm going to wait for the next sale to get the Assassin's Creed bundle, by then AC3 will be out and we are likely to know if it's over or it they'll make 20 AC3 games before AC4 is out. (Can you tell I really don't trust them to just end the series?)
-
I bought it too and either I missed something or they changed it from the original: Also, SWEET MOTHER OF MOTHRA is it pretty! And detailed too, I've never seen such diversity in flora in a game that didn't require you to use them as ingredients!
-
It was out for a while for me, but it's back now.

I'm debating whether to get the Asssassin's Creed Collection or not, I don't own any of the games on PC and the bundle costs the same as the games I'm missing but... I kinda promised myself that I would not purchase anymore games unless it proved that it would actually end. I don't really want to invest in what could become the "Lost of video games". Isn't there going to be TWO AC 3 games just for starters? Then again, since the series is going forward in time it is proving that it should end? Not to mention it's probably going to be hell to catch up when it actually does end.

Nigoro's updated version of La-Mulana is out! Before it was a free MSX looking game and now... But, it's not out on Steam, according to their site, they are using Playism because it's more helpful towards Japanese indie developers whose English isn't that good, which is probably true, the only Japanese indie games on Steam were handled and translated by another company, right? It seems they upped the humor with this release, the original had some silly moments, but I only played the games for a few moments and I already got a chuckle or two! PS: This game will beat you into a bloody pulp.... lovingly?

Well, it looks like all Pendulo studious games are 75% off at Steam, so I'm likely to give Yesterday a shot.
-
Beating this game without any help probably deserves more kudos than getting the dark world ending in Super Meat Boy. It's still madness WITH a guide! And it looks like they changed a few things from the Japanese Wiiware version to the PC one just to mess you up a little.
-
Rock, Paper, Shotgun called it a 2D Demon Souls, so yeah, that's pretty accurate.

As a Spaniard, I've played Pendulo Studio's games since the beginning, even before Runaway and frankly... I've only enjoyed the Hollywood Monsters / The Next Big Thing series. There is a reason Igor: Objective Uikokahonia was never translated, that game was DREADFUL, although it was their first game and the Runaway games always seems like they would make better action movies or games than adventure games. It's almost like they wanted to make one but didn't know how? (Come to think of it, Igor: Objecitve Wachamakallit felt more like a bad movie adaptation (of a bad movie) too). Has anybody here played their latest games "Yesterday"? If they have improved their more serious story telling I might actually care for this project. Then again, maybe I only enjoyed The Next Big Thing because it wasn't as terrible as Runaway? Does the site translate or it supposed to be in Spanish? Wait.... it says it's a humoristic thriller? Has that ever worked before? The humor of the site itself is making me break into hives. I don't think I like this idea... Spain's games have become less cool since they stopped using "Heavy Metal" artists for their covers. *grumble grumble*

Oh, I remember Mighty Milky Way, the ending part is hell, but the ending is SO worth it! I just beat the LA-MULANA remake and what a magnificent bastard of a game it is, it's probably the most challenging metroidvania game I've ever played, the puzzles have very subtle clues and the bosses are utter bastards... in a good way?

I wish XBLA would give up on the "Banana dollars" thing, I had 1100 points, but I refused to buy 500 points when I only need 100, special when those extra points are going to be there untouched for AGES. I've never played a games online, except for Resident Evil, which I almost wished I played alone (don't join me if you can't speak English). Almost every game I want eventually comes out for PC or PS3 and I really don't care about cheevos anymore. I was charged another year without warning, if they had told me a few days before instead of charging me directly I would have cancelled. What I really don't get is the PSN hate? If you plug an Ethernet cable into your PS3 the connection trouble and slow downloads will simply vanish, not to mention you can't actually find your games on PSN. When has anything been taken off PSN, Sno? I remember the Crash games being taken off due to their poor quality port, but they put them back later. I've heard more news of XBLA taking down games than PSN (Arcadian Warriors, the Atari remakes...) I really hope FEZ and Spelunky get a Steam release, although I'm pretty sure Iron Brigade with stay on XBLA for ever.

From Dust is 75%, is the DRM still terrible? And is the PC port as bad as I heard? Also.... DAWWW, the Steam critters are building a tree house! (Do they even have a name?)
-
Really? How are they not open source?
-
Not necessarily, if the price drop is 75% and it's not a special or front page thing, it's probably not going to go any lower.
-
Yeah, I mean the GP32, I bought one and couldn't do much with it. Only four official games released and I could never find anything good on the web for it back then.
-
Does anybody remember those portable open source consoles? They did pretty badly, or at least they stayed under the radar for most consumers.
-
Yeah, last time everything went a little out of control and they ran out prizes pretty fast. I'm not very "afraid" of the sale this time, there aren't that many games that I haven't gotten from a previous sale that I might care about.
-
Did they just say the games were all free? How would they money did they mention a fee I didn't hear about? Are they going to place ads? Why would a developers release their on this system for free, that's what I find hard to believe.

Suggestions for a Civ and simulation game player.

I tried the series with relative success? I played Armored Princess and liked it until I felt the pacing was too slow because I had cleared a few islands and hadn't made much progress in the main quest. If Grotesque Tactics is considered to be like King's Bounty, then that series I managed to play and beat them, they were much shorter than the King's Bounty games, which I probably why I liked them. -
All the links say this project was abandoned. Is someone going to Kickstart it?

Boateng, b*tches! Nuff said!
