To me, all this just affirms how stupid superheroes are and what a long corporate affair they are to so many. There's nothing novel about any of the stories they tell so it's all just a same old same old cycle of fashion and style and constant discussion on what is ultimately a fantasy story with no actual bearing. Whether capes get caught on anything or if a zipper can get hooked on a nail is really besides the point of a story. Nothing's really changed, it's all just shallow stories that are all style no substance. It's like getting upset at the abundance of evil twins in All My Children. I wish more people would put their passion for arguing about big business properties into trying to discover artists and writers they have ignored because they buy all of the wrong comics. And that's my bitter thought for today.

Next time Press X to Jason.

Haha yeah your quiz was hard but still fun. Also holy shit I don't know why I didn't get 19, I knew I knew it but I just couldn't place it. Turns out I know it because I played Tomb Raider Anniversary this year which is a somewhat remade version of it. Another game on the list where I only heard the remake music. Phew. Man, I played through ICO twice and I don't remember that song at all.

I finally was able to see Zero Theorem. Now that's the kind of Gilliam I like. Lots of ho hum review, lots of people saying it's bad or not understanding it. Whatever, it's great. It's somewhat cheesy in it's depiction of future technology but I find it charming and not out of touch. I was under the impression by reading reviews first that I was either going to see some movie about an old man director who is disenchanted with the internet or a movie that had something to say about internet pornography. It was basically neither of those things and I only read reviews because it took forever to actually get released to a public audience. Fucking reviewers these days, I guess if it's not a super hero movie it's just a thing to classify or look down upon. But then super hero fans get really angry so maybe they are coerced: http://www.vice.com/print/when-did-nerds-become-so-intolerant-088 God it was so good though and very pretty. It's also the first Terry Gilliam movie in a decade or so that is paced just right. Can't say much else though without ruining anything.

Oh sorry, I didn't see it needed track titles, okay here we go: 6 is 15 is
-
Sorry typos, I edited those as you typed it. I figured out 6 and then stupidly left that there.
-
The Mega Man one is 6 is 15 is This one is really tough as in general I was too busy starting high school and getting into drugs to play games from about 2000-2003. Sorry.

Are they really that much over there? Is there a UK Craigslist? That's usually a cheap and easy way to get an appliance if you can pick it up.
-
I don't know, I tend to have large front pockets, I also never wear jeans, usually slacks or business type pants. Maybe that's the style of those pants? I can't stand how denim feels. I probably look stupid since my left pocket always carries my cell phone and 3DS, so it's pretty bulky. But in many ways, I also really don't care what other people think. I have friends who are afraid to pull their 3DSs out in public like in a waiting room or on some public form of transportation, like they will be looked down upon for being grown men for using handhelds. But whatever, idle how you want. The thing I don't get about things in back pockets is doesn't it make it uncomfortable to sit? Also aren't you guys worried about breaking things? I'd worry even about credit cards snapping in half, let alone people who do an expensive phone in a back pocket.

Leisure Suit Larry 5?

If you have back pockets it makes it very difficult for people to check out yer butt. Also I have a chain wallet where I don't display the chain but keep my keys attached to it dumped in one big pocket because I lose every god damn thing in life unless it has a big stupid weight on both ends. MBMBaM had a question sent in by someone also doing the same as me and they told him chain wallets are the worst and that he should be an adult and stop losing his keys and/or wallet.

I hope it does us well. To me it's a luxury fridge because it's the first one in a long line of rentals that actually makes some fucking ice. Every time before if they had an ice maker, it'd just dribble out water all over the freezer and coat everything in ice. FUCK YEAH ICE ALL DAY!

I love this. Is Monopoly on Steam? Can you add that?
-
I think you should just because I like these, but I hope not everyone else has lost interest. I can't figure out any of the rest.

Fuck, thanks for getting number 18. I played through Twin Snakes multiple times because of 100%ing dog tags but I guess I didn't catch it because the newer rendition is much quieter than the original plus a ton of ambient noise is added. #10 is:

Our duplex came with a fridge but it specifically states in our lease that if it breaks down, it's our problem to get it repaired or replaced. Why that appliance, I don't know? Does that mean we get to take it when we leave?

Alien Isolation - The nightmare of Milky Joe
syntheticgerbil replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
I get sad thinking how many players are just going to pay $50 for some fucking hats and not an actual game. -
But 18 sounds just like the Chozo Ruins. Arghhh. I give up. My best guess is that it's also another Nintendo game on GBA by possibly the same composer. Or not. I know 10, 18 and 19 but I don't think I can figure it out. Possibly I have heard 20, I thought it was from but it's not. I won't be guessing any Amiga games! I suppose Ben got one of the two.

Idle Thumbs 176: The Classic Alien Form
syntheticgerbil replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Yeah I sort of laid this out earlier but was less succinct, but I am in complete agreement. Plus the Looney Tunes DVD sets that tend to make it around places like Warmart are just the less expensive Spotlight Collections which have no racial content, special features, and about half the cartoons, intended for children. The Golden Collection sets are the ones that are more expensive and less available. I think Disney did the same with their cartoon sets in the tin cans with possible a disclaimer, but those damn things are almost never available because THEY ARE GOING BACK IN THE DISNEY VAULT. Fucking Disney. I am somewhat concerned though that for instance a Tom and Jerry set gets released uncensored since kids really seem to love Tom and Jerry, but I suppose the only outcry from that is one cartoon was accidentally released censored and they had to ship out a corrected copy. It's good Tom and Jerry was restored unedited for public consumption however. I am not sure if children heard the mom character as a stereotypical black woman if that would truly affect them. I actually remember being super confused as a child because sometimes the same cartoon would air where the woman was originally black (you only ever see her feet) and then I might see the Ted Turner version where Chuck Jones reanimated her legs to be white and she was overdubbed. -
#17 is I know #19 but I can't place it, I have three guesses since I have been looking and can't find anything
-
Oh fuck, #8 came to me. It was bothering me so much since I haven't played it in decades: I also know #14 by Googling the lyrics, not by playing the game. Don't cheat like me everyone. I feel like I definitely have heard #10 (this one multiple times) and #17 but I can't figure it out.
-
Shit, this is tough. I feel like I know many of these but it would have been games I barely ever touched, However I know 18:
-
My god that beard! Now THAT would make a true fucking Wizard plate!
-
Strange I hardly see those. I found an article saying you have to request that style, which is "classic," but it's a general plate so there's no charge. Not sure why someone would request that though.
